Regina smirked. She was never one to seek out trouble, but when it came to her door, there was no way she could avoid it.
In a luxurious and elegant restaurant.
Hannah was holding a cup of coffee and attending to Noah’s meal.
“Sister Regina, have a seat next to me!” Bess took out a chair and invited Regina to sit near her. Regina became tense due to the mood in the event. Regina couldn’t help but giggle as everyone seemed to be there.
What did this mean?
But Hannah didn’t seem to want to make things tough for her. Noah’s eager glance moved over her body. Knowing his genuine nature and then seeing his insane expression, she couldn’t help but feel a little funny.
“Did they not embarrass you, Sister Regina?” Bess gazed innocently at her mother and worriedly at Regina: “I’m not sure what my brother means. He fought with them in order to keep you at home!”
Regina was tense. The sight in front of her where Mandel’s sturdy and tall body stood out. The door to the old house was opened at this time.
Cecily was dressed in a Chanel haute couture suit and went away from the gathering. Bess instinctively looked towards Regina and was relieved when she noticed she didn’t answer.
“Cecily, please have a seat. We’ll be waiting for you to enjoy the meal!” Hannah smiled cheerfully. She stepped forward and took the bag in her hand, dragging her to the dining table.
“Auntie, I saw this watch while shopping at Patek Philippe’s and thought it matched your personality perfectly. Don’t say no. Please take it.”
“As long as you’re here. Gifts are unimportant.”
“Go help Miss Green move everything in and set up a room next to Mandel’s bedroom to entertain her, Iris. Don’t ignore her.” Hannah instructed with a smile, displaying grace in every movement.
Hannah was naturally well-informed as Mrs. Martin. She wasn’t very interested in the present itself. She could now simply utilize Cecily as a stark contrast.
One of them was a well-known orthodox lady with a lot of money and a dignitary.
One of them was an abandoned Miller family daughter with a low social rank.
“Are you my brother’s fiancée, pretty sister? You’re late, brother has returned with a sister!” Noah put down the chicken leg he was chewing in his hand and murmured teasingly to Cecily. His fair face was tempting, and the corners of his delicate lips were smirking.
Regina clenched her teeth in rage. Noah was definitely attempting to cause her problems.
Sure enough, she turned her head and saw Noah watching the fun.
“Oh! What exactly is she? Martin’s dogs are all more noble than she is.” The sarcasm in Hannah’s words was not concealed at all.
Cecily’s lovely face flushed slightly, but she swiftly recovered: “Regina has arrived! Did she plan on having a relationship with Noah?”
Cecily approached her and sat gently next her: “Despite his imperfections, Noah is a wonderful man with a calm and sensitive attitude. Regina, you can look after him!”
On the surface, she stated the appropriate words, but her tone was that of a hostess.
“You guys talk. I’m full.”
Regina ignored Cecily and went upstairs immediately after those comments. The European-style bedroom was elegant and subtle. Staying at Martin’s residence may have been pleasurable for many women, but it was pure misery for Regina.
It’s no surprise Hannah wanted to summon her downstairs on purpose. She merely wanted her to see for herself that Cecily was greeted and moved in.
In terms of Cecily’s dignified stay, it felt odd that Mandel had brought her back for no obvious reason. Regina did not enjoy this sensation.
But she didn’t have much of a choice. She couldn’t get out of here by herself. Mandel’s dominant nature made it impossible for anyone to do anything against his wishes.
It was as if her life was being controlled by others.
At night.
Regina was very hungry. She couldn’t eat at dinner because she was so horrified by Hannah, and when she wakes up, she feels ill to her stomach.
Regina was not bothering Iris and Doris because this was Martin’s house. She crept downstairs, intending to go to the kitchen to locate something.
Regina discovered milk and bread in the refrigerator. She was going to take it upstairs when she heard the door being pulled open in the dark.
Regina was startled and shrank into the darkness.
Mandel, who had removed his suit, was less dominant, and he looked extremely elegant in his pajamas.
The doorknob on his knuckled fingers was clearly the room where Cecily lived!
Mandel actually entered Cecily’s room in the middle of the night.
Regina leaned against the wall, trying not to make any noise. When Regina tried to return to her apartment after the door was entirely shut, she found herself practically unstable.
“”
“Oh! What on earth am I expecting?” Regina whispered to herself amusingly. Cecily, the upright hostess, was his fiancée.
What was she, a whore? Or could it be Mandel’s toy?
Regina felt unbearably uneasy and increasingly silly. The glimmer of hope in her heart for Mandel vanished at this point.
At Martin’s.
Mandel took the keys and was about to leave when he noticed Regina standing at the door.
“Do you have anything to do with me?” his piercing brows softened instantly.
Regina relaxed her clenched fists and attempted to seem as natural as she could: “I’m looking for you to tell you that I’m leaving here.”
“No!”
The man reached out his hand to clasp his watch and rejected without negotiating.
Regina’s eyes were filled with rage. She did not avoid the man’s eyes.
“I’m not here to beg you. I am here to tell you. You have no legal authority to keep me anyplace.”
“You are carrying my child. I have the responsibility and obligation to ensure my child’s safety.” “I have the last word where you go,” Mandel said condescendingly as the strong masculinity surged toward her.
They were so near that she could definitely smell his distinct body. Regina was slightly preoccupied, but the scene of Mandel staying in Cecily’s chamber the night before flashed across her thoughts and wounded her deeply.
“I said I want to go back,” Regina replied emphatically, her eyes burning.
