No one answered when a nurse came out to read the list.
The cruel and ruthless words of the man kept echoing in her ears.
“You don’t deserve to have my child…”
These words, like a magical sound, took root in Regina’s thoughts.
Her lips were virtually bitten and pouring blood, and her eyes were filled with pain and grief.
“Are you here?”
Regina finally rose to her feet. “I’m ready,” she said, turning pale.
On the first floor of the hospital.
Mandel looked back, but she and the man were not there. He became agitated.
“What do you think? I just observed Dr. Thompson bring that patient named Regina to arrange an abortion appointment. Could this be Dr. Thompson’s child?”
“Where is Regina?”
The man’s voice was extremely cold.
The nurse was scared. “I only know that Dr. Thompson took her to the gynecological department just now, and she appears to be pregnant…” she dared not look Mandel in the eyes.
The nurse didn’t dare to say any more.
Because the man in front of her was making an exceedingly embarrassing grimace, his eyes were filled with rage. People were hesitant to approach him because he exuded an air of indifference.
In the office.
Albert put on his medical gown and mask. He softly looked down at a snapshot on his phone before putting on the gloves.
The girl was dozing off in her hospital bed. Everything looked great.
This was taken subconsciously when Regina was resting.
“Boom!”
A man walked in after kicking open the door. His eyes were filled with rage.
“Who are you?”
Albert frowned slightly.
The man in front of him was attractive. His entire body exuded a noble aura, and his identity was not obvious at first glance.
“Who is the father of Regina’s child?”
Mandel didn’t answer his question and asked coldly.
Albert was surprised for a moment before smiling indifferently “So you play the role of Mr. Martin in Regina’s lips. Do you believe the child belongs to me?”
His tone was full of sarcasm.
Mandel scowled slightly, and his eyes irritated. He could barely keep his wrath in check.
“What if I tell you that Regina is carrying your child?”
Albert said slowly and without tenderness in his eyes.
“What did you say?”
Mandel’s pupils contracted violently, and his eyes were filled with astonishment.
“This is, indeed, your child. It’s a shame she met you as a jerk. If it were up to me…”
Albert’s voice was filled with sorrow for Regina, but he was unable to intervene.
“I’m not going to let her have an abortion! What happened to her?”
A cold faint light rushed before Mandel’s deep eyes as they constricted. The veins on the back of his hands swelled as he tightened his fists.
In the operating room.
Regina was lying on the enormous operating table, and the bright light in front of her forced her to close her eyes slightly.
“Take off your pants.”
The doctor’s calm voice sounded in her ear.
Regina’s eyes glowed with trepidation. Was she actually planning on having an abortion?
She asked again in her mind.
“Why don’t you take it off?”
The doctor urged impatiently.
Regina could only grit her teeth and undress. She opened her thighs as the doctor instructed, posing in a humiliating manner.
She raised her eyes to the warm yellow sunshine. She shivered all around as she felt a chilly appliance below.
Sorry… My baby…
Regina closed her eyes, and a crystal teardrop gently rolled down her cheek.
“Regina! Who granted you the right to an abortion?”
The rage sounded outside the operating room.
“Bang!”
The door was kicked open suddenly.
No one dared to approach or stop him because his eyes were filled with rage.
“What brings you here, Mandel?”
Regina’s eyes were surprised, and she was a little embarrassed in her heart.
“Who instructed you to murder my child?”
Mandel disregarded Regina and inquired bitterly of the doctor next to him.
“No, Mr. Martin… I had no idea this was your child?”
She was trembling all over once the doctor recognized him as Mandel, the eldest son of the Martin Group, for fear of losing her job.
Mandel scowled. His flawless face was expressionless and commanding.
Before leaving, he took a deep look at Regina. His black eyes were as deep as a splendid galaxy.
His eyes, on the other hand, were like black holes that had to draw people in but couldn’t be seen.
Regina’s heart skipped a beat as she watched. She couldn’t look past the emotions in the man’s eyes, which were out of the ordinary.
Regina quickly put on her clothes and left the surgery room.
Because the man did not leave.
She felt a little tremor in her chest and was taken aback.
A deep glance cast her eyes so heated that she had to turn her head away, not daring to meet his deep gaze as soon as she opened the door.
For a while, the atmosphere was silent and depressed.
“How come you didn’t tell me you were pregnant with my child and then aborted it without my permission?”
The stillness was broken by Mandel. His tone was ferocious, like a lion ready to pounce at any moment.
“You have nothing to do with me, this is my child. I’m not required to report to you.”
Regina didn’t avert his sight and even scoffed indifferently.
“You can’t get pregnant without me.”
Regina didn’t avert his sight and even scoffed indifferently.
“Don’t touch me.”
Regina stepped aside, as though witnessing something filthy.
Mandel’s face froze slightly. He extended his hand but quickly retracted it. The expression on his face was inexplicable.
He quickly recovered, as if the recent actions and expressions had not occurred.
“Return to the old house with me right now. I will satisfy you with any money you want, except marrying into the Martin family, as long as you give birth to your child safely.”
There was a hint of softness in his voice.
But when these comments reached Regina’s ears, they were ironic. She simply assumed that Mandel was treating her as though she desired glory and fortune.
“I don’t need your money, Mandel. You assumed I lacked qualifications…”
Regina’s breathing came to a halt somewhat. Her eyes welled up, but her tone was sardonic and dismissive.
“I have nothing to do with you, Mandel. Why should I bear a child for you?”
Regina’s bitter smile disappeared in a blink of an eye.
Mandel’s face darkened, and he tightened his hands to suppress the rage that was building up in his heart.
“Regina, this won’t affect the fact that the father of the child in your tummy is me.”
His voice was so icy that it almost pierced her.
Sarcastically, Regina smiled. He initially assumed she lacked qualifications and was a nasty lady.
She no longer wanted to pay attention to Mandel and walked right past him.
“Who allowed you to leave?”
The deep and compelling voice of the man rang in her ears, but she did not stop.
