“What do you know?! I always thought women were supposed to stick together but I guess we don’t.” Lilith answered sharply.
“How can I support someone who has done wrong! Layton told me everything that had happened and he did wrong.” Lilith laughed selfishly.
“He must have told you lies but of course he did just to make himself look innocent.” Gemini was not convinced by Lilith’s confession.
“Alright, then I’ll leave him with his lies, even if he has been lying or not I will still defend him.” Lilith laughed again but more.
“So you in love, Layton has a way of fooling women, he’ll make you fall for him then leave you.” Gemini looked at the ground.
“He’s different and he told me he had changed.”
“That’s what he tells everyone. Don’t worry he’ll leave you sooner should have asked him how many people he had slept with.” Gemini choked and gulped on the painful air.
“Only Andrea and me.”
“Sorry to disappoint you but it would be best if you found out yourself and don’t want him to hate me.” Lilith got up and left leaving Gemini herself. She wondered if Jasmine was one of them, once she knew she was Layton’s wife Jasmine hesitated. She thought even heavier. She only prayed that he would never leave her and that he would keep his promise. A knock came on the door.
“Come in.” The battler opened and peeped.
“Dinners ready ma’am.”
“I’ll be there thank you.” The battler left and she made get way to the table where she had her grand dinner.
“Why is she eating on the table with us?!” Lilith yelled at her husband.
“She is our guest Lilith at least show some respect.” Lilith banged the table and pushed her food aside.
“How can you help him! After everything he had done to you, you still want to help him!!”
“He is still my relative and relatives stick together as I said we will need his help one day and we cannot make him our enemy.” Lilith remained silent.
“I apologize on behalf of my wife.”
“I don’t want you to apologize for me and I wasn’t even going to apologize!” Valentine felt annoyed.
“Please Lilith respect is needed you do not see the rest complaining!”
“Perhaps you should let it slide dear, if our husband is okay with me then we should too,” Veronica said, Lilith never liked Veronica either. She always knew that Veronica wanted her place in the alpha’s heart.
“I didn’t ask for your opinion Veronica and this does not concern you!” Veronica turned to Valentine hoping he would back her up.
“Lilith I do not prefer this attitude of yours so please have some manners!” It was shocking for the workers to hear Valentine yell at Lilith such things never happened.
“Why are you against me! Have I done wrong for goodness sake he scared us for life!” Lilith felt like crying as she had never argued with her husband.
“I am not against you but I need you to show some respect. You would have been killed if it wasn’t for him.”
“He still killed my family and everyone I loved! You do not know how it feels to lose the people you love!!” She got up and ran out crying.
Gemini woke up, she had had a pleasant sleep and felt absolutely bored. She hoped she wouldn’t stay in the house for long. Valentine walked in then smiled brightly.
“Morning hope you had a great night.” Gemini shrugged then slightly nodded.
“Partly, you?” Valentine nodded quickly, his head daring to fall off his shoulder.
“I have good news.” Gemini raised a brow, she did need good news yesterday had gone terrible for and she needed something to love to lighten her mood.
“Layton will come to visit for some days and since I heard you hate staying indoors a lot I decided to get you a job.” Gemini was excited with both the news, she never thought Layton would visit her.
“Why is Layton coming and where am I going to work? Hope the job isn’t too tough.” She tried not to sound lazy or excited.
“Don’t worry it’s quite amusing. Layton said he wants to examine your living style here.” Gemini sighed.
“I’ll let you get ready.” Valentine left and Gemini quickly got ready. She made her way to the dining room where she had her breakfast to her luck she didn’t meet up with Lilith. She made her way to Valentine.
“You’re ready for your job?” Gemini nodded. He took her to a medium but large-sized fashion store by the streets with amazing attractive designs.
“You love it? I thought fashion would be a good suit for you.” Valentine tries to read the girl’s expression.
“I love it a lot!! When will I start working?”
“Monday. I have to get the papers in order.” Gemini nodded but she was impatient. They made their way back. She didn’t know what she would say to Layton, she didn’t even know why she was sent there.
“When will he be here?” Valentine smiled brightly.
“Impatient are we. He left sine minutes ago guess he misses you already.” Gemini blushed. She waited by the living room but quickly got bored.
“Want to see around?” Valentine asked seeing how bored she was.
“Sure, hope we do not run into your wife.” They both shared a short laugh.
