“Thank you that’s really sweet.” Gemini sipped on the tea that was brought in front of them.
“How is your relationship with Layton going?”
“I could say it’s going well but we have had some issues now and then.” Valentine felt the need to befriend the girl.
“Am sorry you had to leave the comfort of your home but as Layton might have told you, it’s for your own safety.” Gemini looked around before answering his question.
“I didn’t like it but I have no choice don’t i.” Gemini stared at their portraits.
“How is it that you have more wives?” Valentine stared at the picture she was staring at.
“I just wanted to and just in case the other bare me a daughter instead of a son.”
“What’s wrong with having a daughter?”
“No offense but females are not all alpha type so I need someone who will succeed me.” Gemini felt her stomach, not sure if she was pregnant she still vowed to accept the sex of her child.
“Girls cab also be alpha material, there’s no difference.” Lilith joined the two. Gemini could tell that she was the most loved seeing with the dressing.
“Gemini this is my second and most loved wife Lilith.” Gemini reached out her hand to greet the girl but she did not receive it.
“Lilith is kind she is our guest.” Valentine hissed.
“She’s Layton’s wife, isn’t it. I do not talk to such related people.” Gemini had had enough of the hate shown towards Layton.
“What had Layton done to you?”
“Well, your husband took everything away from me! And you expect me to accept you!” Gemini lowered her voice.
“Am sorry but that was in the past and Layton would never do such a thing without a reason.” Lilith still did not accept the girls’ presence so she left.
“Your wife is unforgiving.” Valentine sighed.
“She had gone through a lot, she’s just worried that’s all.” Valentine paused for a while.
“His is Layton doing?”
“He’s doing quite fine. I never knew he had cousins close by.” Valentine dropped his cup of tea on the table.
“He is not a family type, he never really cared about family after killing his.”
“His father and mother right? I’ve heard of it.”
“He had a brother too but his life was cut short too.” Gemini was even more surprised that her husband had killed more than his parents.
“I never knew he had a brother.”
“Most people didn’t, he’s mother kept both of their secrets but Layton got his fame once he killed his parents.” Gemini crossed her arms.
“But why?! What’s the point of all this?! Why would someone kill his own flesh and blood.” Valentine chuckled which confused Gemini.
“Why wouldn’t he if he could have power and leadership, he was never trained to love or care but to lead and kill. You just have to understand.” Gemini shook her head.
“Still does not mean you should kill them!”
“Life isn’t east if you want to survive then you should do whatever it takes even if it means killing your own family.” Gemini thought of it but she knew she would never do such a thing.
“I would never do that….. it’s just wrong you know.”
“But you word have no choice though.” Gemini refused. She still thought it was stupid band heartless.
“Don’t you think they would do the same? They actually might you know.”
“They wouldn’t. A mother can never betray her child! ” Gemini yelled. Minutes of silence went past.
“Where are you from again? As in where and who are your parents. ” Gemini froze at his question.
“I lost my parents long ago, NY father was killed while my mother……she disappeared.”
“What’s your surname?”
“Burn, Gemini Burn.” Valentine wasn’t sure where he had heard that name from but he knew his memory wasn’t false.
“I’ve heard of that surname before but I don’t remember how I know it.” Gemini was surprised he knew and hoped he could tell her of her father.
“Do you know who killed him?” Gemini searched her memory.
“Not really but all I know was that he was caught in some issues.” Valentine still tried to sum it all up.
“Just forget about it all. I’ll show you to your room.” They got up and proceeded to a spare room. The room was dazzling and smooth.
“If you need anything let me know.” Gemini nodded. She was done repacking her things and took herself outside.
“How long will you be here?” Lilith asked the girl annoyed.
“Am not sure but I hope it’s not for long.” Lilith gave her a disgusted look.
“I also hope it is not for long. You know I was good friends with Andrea that is if you have heard of her.” Gemini felt sick when she hears her name.
“I do and I see why you hate him too. It seems like she told some false stories.”
“Not at all I used to have great respect for Layton but he did a number of unforgiving things.” Gemini sat close to Lilith.
“And once I heard what he had done to Andrea it made me hate him more.”
“It was not his fault, she left him!” Gemini’s anger rose again.
