“What do you know about these creatures. I feel like you know more about them than I do.” Ember took out a scrapbook from her bag and opened the first page.
“I know they have been here for thousands of years and most people do not know that because they are always in hiding.” Francis did know but he was curious about their origin.
“Not much was said but they are you could say masters of disguise. They take their form as humans and copy at least everything about us.” Francis paused.
“I always thought they were humans that got somehow mutated or something.” Ember laughed.
“No. You watching too many movies. They were always wolfing and that’s their true form but sadly I don’t know much information on that.” Eugene happened to be listening and he couldn’t help but doubt his beliefs. He had never believed his partner and didn’t plan to.
“What else do you know?” Eugene surprisingly asked.
“Not much but they became a copy of humans.”
“Why though?” Ember turned her pages.
“Well unfortunately they wanted to be in control and they did admire the thinking of humans.” There was an awkward silence and Eugene laughed.
“How did they become human? Used some voodoo shit.” Francis found himself smiling. He knew some things were beyond explanation and it was one of them.
“I don’t really know how they did it so after a time they were believed to be supreme with both strength and strategy till a human surpassed their thinking.” It was Francis’s main goal. He wanted to find that one material that would put an end to their existence.
“You know what makes animals stupid. It’s that they do not know everything has a weakness so they get too comfortable.” Francis stood up then faced Eugene.
“If we do not find a solution they will take over again. Guess they’ve gotten comfortable.” Eugene nodded, like it or no he knew he had to trust them.
The car moved with great speed, Gemini wasn’t sure why they were in such a hurry. The distance took about four hours and they finally reached their designated city.
“Excuse me could you please stop by. I need to use the bathroom.” The driver sighed while his partner smiled.
“Sure and do you need me to accompany you?” Gemini refused, it would be weird for her and everyone else.
“I’ll go on my own plus I won’t take that much time.” The car stopped by a gas station.
“Be quick, we don’t have much time.” The driver yelled, certainly he wasn’t in the mood.
“Please be careful and avoid unknown people.” Gemini nodded promising to keep her word. She went into the shop and asked for the bathroom. She turned the tap on and proceeded to wash her hands out the blue a female walked towards the sink, she was indeed beautiful.
“I hate traveling! Great now my make-ups fading!” Gemini wasn’t sure if she was supposed to respond.
“I know it’s the worst.” Gemini giggled and the woman smiled.
“Your traveling too?” The woman asked applying her makeup.
“Yeah, it’s my first time coming here.” The woman squeaked.
“Me too. Names Jasmine you?”
“Gemini Burn.” Jasmine paused and her body faced the girl.
“I’ve heard of you. You know Layton right?” Gemini’s eyes grew wide and shock filled her.
“How do you know him?”
“We were close and I was able to get some information.” She was disgusted with both of them.
“You mean you used to go out?”
“Yeah, mostly but he left me and surprisingly got you. How low can he be.” Gemini was filled with anger, she didn’t know what made her different from the other girls.
“Well too bad indeed but I am not surprised, he would never go for such an excuse!” Gemini was surprised she had said those words herself so was Jasmine.
“Better watch your mouth! You don’t know me!” A knock was heard on the bathroom door.
“Mrs. Burn do you want anything before we go?” One of the pack members asked. It was disrespectful but we were glad he asked.
“I’ll be out in a second.” Jasmine faced the girl.
“I have to go there waiting for me.” Gemini made her way out of the bathroom.
“Just a drink and snack will do.” The man went off and Gemini made her way to the car. They set out left with some extra miles. Gemini got the opportunity to call Layton.
“Why are you calling?” Layton answered.
“I can protect myself you know, I do not need to come here.”
“I am not having this conversation with you again,” Gemini growled.
“Still I do not want to be here, I don’t know anyone here.” Layton knew Gemini never liked being alone but he saw no problem with it.
“You will be with Valentine and his wives.”
“Doesn’t make things better.” She complained all the way till they finally Valentine’s gate. The gates automatically opened and the car drive-in. Gemini was welcomed by Valentine’s expected wives and he himself and she could admit that the young man was good-looking. They took her to their home.
“Gemini is it?” Valentine asked.
“Yes, and you must be Valentine. You just what I expected.” Valentine chuckled.
“Your not what I. Your way beautiful than I imagined.” Gemini faced the ground feeling nervous.
