“You do not know what that man has done Gem!! To me and everyone else!!” Her mother stood up.
“Just take some time to know him mom he isn’t what you think.” Her mother walked to the kitchen forcing Gemini to follow.
“Either thought I see no use if your visit. Why are you really here?”
“We had to move for a while before the third day.” Her mother knew exactly why but didn’t understand what really happened.
“You still have a choice Gemini do not do something you will regret.” Gemini felt more annoyed by her mother’s judgment.
“I am not leaving him mom as I said.” Her mother banged the counter with her fists.
“I guess you really aren’t my daughter.” Gemini held the urge to cry.
“This is an unacceptable mom! Why do you always have to treat me so poorly?!” Her mother could sense Gemini’s sudden change of altitude.
“So it looks like your so-called husband is brainwashing you! You now have the guts to yell at your mother.”
“This is my life mom so yes I have the right to. If you only listened..” Her mother raised her hand to end her speech.
“You do not know the things I did for you Gemini! The things your father did!!” Gemini chuckled.
“Father did nothing mom, he dreamt of things that never existed and killed for it!!” Gemini was getting a little of Layton’s personality and her mother saw through it, she remembered how Gemini looked up to her father.
“You do not know what it means to be a mother.” Her mother’s voice broke.
“I don’t have to but I know I would never treat my children the way you do.” It was a shame how Gemini was blinded with anger.
“I did all that to protect you, each day I lived in fear afraid that they would hurt you if I didn’t love you I would have given you up. Your father died for you and you are here insulting him!! You do not know the things we did for you!!” Gemini was silent for a while realizing her mistakes.
“I am sorry but I need you to let me take this risk mom, you can’t always protect me.”
“But I can guide you.” Gemini sighed, she thought how a simple visit would turn into an argument.
“Mom I just need you to let me do this.” Gemini walked towards the door.
“If you go through that door I will never accept you!!” Gemini turned then smiled.
“I am sorry mom but you have to let me go.” She walked out the door knowing she ended her relationship with her mother. The stress was unbearable.
“Let’s get back I am very tiers.” The driver made his way back.
Layton took his medication and Strider helped.
“I do hope this helps.” Strider agreed.
“But it is also of no use sir.”
“But it is, I can’t risk it and I can’t take control either if I do not have power or energy.” It was mostly unpredictable and Strider thought it was a great idea.
“Where is Gemini?” Layton asked taking in a tall glass of water.
“She must be either in her room or outside. Should I call her?” Layton nodded and Strider left. After a while, the beta returned.
“She is not around, the others say she left a while ago.” Layton tightened his grip on the cup.
“Who went with her?” Strider shrugged. His anger rose and his grip tightened forcing the glass to break. Strider was shocked at the alpha’s anger, he took a towel and handed it to Layton who was a bleeding mess.
“Sir you really need to keep your energy and please avoid injuries.” Layton whipped the blood off his palms then gasped. He rose his hand through the air examining it.
“It seems the days are close, my healing process has slightly decreased.” It wasn’t a good sign for either of them.
“I need more medication.” Strider did as he asked and added more of the dose. Just in the process of his consumption Gemini walked in looking exhausted.
“Where have you been?” Layton asked making a slow turn to the girl.
“I went shopping and had a short tour around the place.” She didn’t want him to know of her mother.
“Who did you go with?”
“The driver as I said it was just a tour.” Layton still didn’t believe her.
“I told you not to wander off on your own yet you do, don’t you remember what we agrees on?!” Gemini focused on Layton’s injured arm and wondered why he had not healed yet.
“Are you okay? You are not healing as you quickly do.” Layton stared at his palm again.
“The days are drawing near and I better find a solution.” Gemini didn’t want to bother Layton with questions since Strider told her not to.
“More.” He ordered but Strider couldn’t do as he asked, he knew more of the medication could cause excess damage.
“Sir you have had quite a lot it might harm you.”
“I am aware and I want you to plant more.” Strider doing as he asked took out the fourth syringe with golden liquid and pierced it into the alpha’s skin. A sharp painful feeling crossed the alpha’s body making him groan.
“I put you in charge of my medication but you weren’t here.” Layton’s yellow-like eyes stared at his wife.
