The meeting, he hoped, wouldn’t go too long. The only things on his plate were a few pack fights, some agricultural issues, and the interdependence of the vampires. The conference may be lengthy, but he hoped it wouldn’t be too much longer than that.
When Ella began to feel dizzy after being in the carriage for so long, she realized they must have arrived. At long finally….
Instantly, two guards appeared at the sides, and Spenser emerged, followed by Ella, who resembled a new wife.
After taking a deep breath, she glanced around and saw that they were in front of a massive structure. The lack of trees gave the area the appearance of an abandoned castle.
A large number of horses and soldiers were there, and Ella had no need for anybody to inform her that they belonged to the others who had likely already come.
All the guards in the area dropped on their knees and bowed deeply as Spenser began heading toward the gate. Oh….
During their tense trip to the front door, Ella clutched the hem of her garment with both hands and followed King Spenser uneasily.
While the rest of the guards stood behind, Jeremy and another one followed to dwell in the shadows.
Ella could tell by the number of males sitting in the chairs that they were likely the Alphas from the other packs.
Moreover, she saw that every male was accompanied by a lady who seemed to be rather attractive.
But when Spenser approached, everyone rose up and welcomed him with a bow,
“Greetings, King Spenser.”
For some reason, Ella finds it hilarious that these very strong and imposing guys are submitting to one single individual.
There was no doubt that King Spenser was a legendary figure. When he sat down at the head of the table, with Ella’s place next to him, Spenser said nothing.
Spenser extended his greetings to include the other person.
“Everyone please take a seat,” he said.
Ella, too, saw that the female guests were looking at her curiously.
The news of the King’s new wife had likely reached them as well, and Ella couldn’t help but remark how stunningly elegant and refined they all were.
She counted the males in the room and came up with a total of eleven.
Six were werewolves, and the other five by vampires.
Twelve men total, and Spenser was one of them.
The total amount of men was then multiplied by the ratio of females present.
You can only image how crowded the table was when King Spenser said,
“Hope you didn’t have a hard journey! It was a question posed by one of the males. Spenser readjusted in his chair as Ella told him,
“Not at all” Ella had sensed his Alpha status.
” I had a fantastic journey here, so that’s excellent to hear. It’s great to see you again, King Spenser. ”
” Let’s get down to work, shall we? “Sucy was seen helping one of the seniors decorate the garden.
On that particular day, Sucy was a lifesaver.
“This would absolutely look so nice,” SisterStephany exclaimed to Sucy, pointing to a purple flower.
“And not only Sucy, but the bothersome Roselin, too.”
“Definitely. ”
Sucy frowned at Roselin as she thanked her,
“Thank you, Roselin; but I like purple.” With a hiss and some mumbled words, Sucy altered the hue of the flower back to purple with the snap of her fingers.
“It’s alright, Roselin. ”
” Sister Linda chimed in, to which Roselin rolled her eyes. The four witches continued their careful work until one of the lesser witches entered.
“Greetings, sisters of the red coven,” the woman said cheerfully, palms clasped. There was a little package in her hand that she said,
“Greetings to you too, Selina. I hope you’re well. Sister Linda inquired how I was doing. The woman said, “Thank you,” as she approached Sucy and said,
“Someone just brought this.” She held out the package and said, “From the lady you helped last week. Please accept this as a present from her.” Sucy, standing tall, took the gift. Oh, no…
“Um. Gratitude to you, Sister Selina. Thank you for your kindness.”
“Oh. Thank you very much. “She bowed and walked away.
When Sucy stood there, her gaze fixed on the package in her palm, Roselin stepped forward. “You mean the same woman?” She laughed at the suggestion.
“For what reason does she always express gratitude to you? She had first given you fruits, and then later a note. Now she’s giving you a present in the mail? Does she ever grow weary of thanking you? ”
Sucy greeted her with a grin and turned to gaze at her.
“Not everyone is as ungrateful as you are, Roselin,” and then she left the room, promising her sisters she’d be back soon.
She made a beeline for her bedroom and headed there with great haste. She leaned against the wall as soon as she entered, taking a big breath.
She opened the package, and to her utter surprise, a sparkling necklace lay within. Oh, no…. Viscar!
With a giggle, she reached in her pocket and pulled it out. Didn’t he already said sorry enough times? In what way might delivering additional presents be helpful?
She observed the necklace’s beauty with a faint grin on her lips. Hm. Actually, it wouldn’t be so terrible to retain it as a present. Poor Viscar; he was so incredible.
After Sucy her left the garden, Roselin followed to find the sister who had brought the present.
“Selina!”
“Sister Roselin. What seems to be the issue?” She looked at her with worry in her eyes and said, “Are you all right?”
“I’m simply asking for a little favor. Most of the camp’s witches certainly didn’t dare defy her. ”
“What do you want for sister Roselin?”
Roselin thought for two seconds before acting.
“Who brought that present?
“A female said Sucy cured her last week,” the woman said very promptly, giving the impression that she had nothing to conceal.
“I see. “Selina’s expression betrayed her astonishment as Roselin stated, “Well, I want you to locate that lady; find out all you can about her and know whether she was genuinely ill.”
“Alright, sister Sucy. If I may ask, however, why? “
