SABRINA
I walked hand in hand with Asa through Ashrea. My eyes took in our surroundings and the spell bounding sky. It was just like the first time I saw it.
The two moons seemed huge than I first saw them, overlapping each other. They were defintely bigger than the one back on earth.
As we kept on walking, that same huge wall I had seen when I arrived in Ashrea came into view.
I remembered how terrified I was thinking Aklyn and Nelyx would ram into it with me in their arms.
I almost jumped out of my skin. Thinking of it got me giggling.
My inaudible laughter didn’t go unnoticed by Asa as she gave me teasing brows. “And what is making my queen smile if I may ask?”
“Well” i began with hesistance. “I just remembered how terrified I was when I got into Ashrea. “I thought Aklyn and Nelyx would you know run me through the wall as they flew”
Asa laughed at my statement. I watched her bring out that exact glowing Crystal that the demon kings used to make it possible for us to get into the central region.
“You have that!?” I shrieked.
She nodded confidentally. “It’s mine. The kings gave it to me incase I needed to live this region and go see my kind”
I nodded understanding her and we engaged in little talks as we walked. The multiple beings I passed glances at bowed at me. I’m guessing word had already spread that I was going to be their future queen.
But I don’t want to be the queen of Ashrea. I want to go back to earth.
I miss my life back there and not this word of dark powers, mythical beings and demons.
I hadn’t even realised when we walked out through the walls of the region.
I stared dewy eyed at the tall thick trees and soft grassy landscape that now surrounded us.
“I do hope you know where we are heading” I told Asa as we began walking into the lush forest.
“I do my queen. We are heading to a place you very well know off” she happily replied.
I hummed at her response, choosing to remain silent and dwell in my thoughts as we walked.
The eager wind glided through our hairs and swayed them across our faces. It was calm and loving.
“My Queen” Asa broke the silence.
“Yeah” I faced her as we strode farther away from the central region.
“I don’t mean to be nosy” Asa began nervously. “But have you come across Mina in any of your awakening memories?”
I gave a knowing smile at her but it was soon washed away by an intense sting of pain when I remembered how horror struck she was on seeing Cory chase after her life.
“What’s wrong?” Asa prod.
“I’ve come across Mina–my past self. My last awakening memory, I saw her. She looked just like me just little differences in our facial make up”
“Was she the only one you saw?” Asa asked further.
“I saw Cory too” I whispered underneath my breath. Asa gasped at me.
“Really?”
“Yes. He was after her life. Fortunately she got saved by the demon kings”
“Do you remember anything else about him?”
I shook my head with a sigh. “All I am fully aware of is that he is an insane creep. Why does he want me dead anyways? What did i do to him?”
Asa mumbled something in a language I couldn’t decipher.
“What did you say?” I inquired.
“You will remember all what you need to remember in due course”
A shaky sigh left my cold lips and I wrapped my hands around my self.
“And If I don’t?”
An unsettling silence spread between us like wild fire.
“You will” Asa replied after much thought.
“I felt It all you know. That period i was screaming, I felt Mina’s pain. Her agony. I felt what it was to be in her body during her final moments. And when Cory chased after her, I could feel her fears. It was choking. Mina seemed like such a peaceful and pure soul. Why does Cory hate her so much that he killed her, giving her such a painful death? What did Mina do that could warrant such a hatred from him?” My tone was remorseful, a bit of anger in it whenever I mentioned the name Cory.
Asa remained silent. A silence that spoke millions. She knew something.
“Why don’t you answer me? What exactly happened in that life time?”
“I can’t say any thing. You have to remember it all on your own. Revealing them to you would damage the balance of things. I’m hoping where I am taking you too would somehow trigger some memories of yours” Asa meticulously explained to me.
I wasn’t satisfied with her reply but I choose to accept it.
Taking my eyes off Asa, I noticed a cobble bridge ahead of us.
I couldn’t see what lay at the other side but the bridge looked old and gave off some kind of medieval aura.
The bridge had no railings by its side. It was just like a long stone built inbetween a huge gap on the ground.
“This seems scary” I voiced out my fears to the sylph.
“Don’t worry ok. Just clutch by me” Asa reassured. I clinged next to Asa, my feets carefully treading across the bridge.
It would be a shame if I end up falling from this death bridge after everything I’ve been through.
We finally approached the other side. Thick trees surrounded us once again as we pushed further into the forest.
A gothic building comes into my sight. Once closer to It, i let out a terrified gasp. It towered over I and Asa, making our height seem insignificant in the ground.
Dark cobblestone was used to build it and from the looks of things, it wasn’t built in this century.
I whipped my head to face Asa when I noticed she was gone. My eyes squinted slightly and my mouth hanged open.
Where is Asa?
She was just here a moment ago. She literally brought me here.
No this can’t be happening.
My tremor sparked and skyrocketed with each passing nano second.
Did she leave me here all by myself in this ominous environment?
What is going on?
