SABRINA
I instinctively tried wandering out in search for Asa but I found myself stuck to the spot. It was as if a force was keeping me from leaving the area.
I tried calling out Asa’s name but no words left my parted mouth. What is going on?
It honestly felt like I wasn’t in control of my body anymore. Nothing was making sense.
My hand moved to knock on the double Oak doors of the building on its own accord.
In an instant, my orbs accessed my appearance and I was shocked to find out that my dressing was different. It was still the same Ashrea style of dressing but not regal like the one I was on earlier today.
This dress was clearly not mine.
That was when it dawned on me. I was in another memory. But I had no blackouts neither did i slip into unconsciousness. My awakenings were becoming more distinct and real as I advanced further into finding out the mysteries of my past life.
A click was heard from within the building before it slowly opened.
Familiar copper skin marked with strange decorations grazed my sight.
Asa. It seemed I was Mina now.
“Mina! Where have you been? Do you realise it’s not safe to be out by this time?” Asa’s worried voice immedately chided Mina.
She moved from the door allowing me to walk in. This felt so strange. I was in my body yet it felt like I was sharing my body with someone else.
“Forgive me Asa” I said going to sit on a wooden chair that was placed at a corner of the house.
Asa walked towards me, the bangles on her slender legs creating a melodious tone as it hit against themselves.
“You know that no where is hundred percent safe right now. Please Mina don’t wander off too far” she held my gaze with her soft tone.
“Where did you go to?” She asked.
I hesitated at first, wondering if I should tell her the truth.
“Cory wanted to see me and I went” I spilled the beans.
Asa stared at me in blank amazement. Her jaws were at ajah and her brows were raised so high that I felt It could touch her hairline.
As Sabrina, I felt confused. Since Cory was the one after Mina’s life and the one who killed her, why would Mina go over to see him at his own request?
This must be the remaining parts of the memory I had earlier in the morning.
“Cory asked you to see him and you went!? What has come over you!? Have you forgotten…..”
“I haven’t dear Asa” I interrupted her speech.
Asa gave me frigid stares and crossed her arms over her chest.
“Then why did you go over to see him?”
“I felt I could clear myself Asa. He sees me as the villain. I am not. I am not responsible for the uneventful things that happened” I explained.
“Oh really? Do not be concerned over what he thinks off you! It doesn’t add a value to who you really are. You are pure and a kind hearted soul. If he can’t see it then let him go to the hell he came out from”
I chortled at Asa’s remarks.
“Now tell me, did he try to harm you?”
“He did” i abruptly replied. “But I was saved by the kings”i quickly added to lay off Asa’s worries.
“You mean Aklyn and Nelyx actually came to your rescue!?” Asa exclaimed.
I nodded with a hum. “They just dropped me off and vanished” I informed her.
“Look who has caught the eye of our demon kings” Asa teased me causing my cheeks to turn beetroot red.
“You know they’ve been searching for a mate. And according to what I’ve known, the demon kings are connected to a special being”
“So?” I replied trying to mask a stoic expression.
“It could be you silly. Infact it’s you. Everything is pointing at you”
I laughed hearing Asa. “You are the silly one Asa. Knowing the demon kings got me into this mess. I don’t want to be part of their lives please”
At once the scene froze and it seemed like the world around me began to spin.
I felt an energy leaving me and I slipped into unconsciousness only to open fly my eyes almost immediately.
Now I laid on my bed, a thick wool blanket covering my body. Sound of wood burning could be heard as the fireplace spread an orange glow over the room.
The fire flames danced across the walls, flickering so brightly and widely.
Was I now travelling inbetween memories and having multiple memories at a go?
A sudden push of the door got me frightened. A female walked into my room.
As Sabrina, I had never seen her. This was a different female.
But Mina probably knew her because I at once bolted up from the wooden bed she laid on and glared at her.
“How dare you come into my house?!” What do you want!? I scowled.
The lady chuckled darkly at my questions. I accessed her appearance. She was not like Asa. She wasn’t a sylph. She had the features of a human except for the stark black wings that sprouted out from her back.
Her hair was jet black like her wings, cascading over her shoulders.
Her lips were as red as blood and she was clothed in an all black off shoulder gown.
“You do not seem to know when to stop do you?” She snooted at me.
I rolled my eyes at her. “What do you want Eridius?” I scoffed at her.
“Mina I took you as a friend and yet you betrayed me. You act like you are the most purest of souls yet your heart is so black and you stink of nothing but jealousy” she spat.
Her eyes shot me a baleful look, rage and fury dancing in her red orbs.
“I never betrayed you. It’s not my fault. You can’t blame me for what happened” I defended myself.
What really happened? The Sabrina in me was curious to find out.
“Your end will be more disastrous than mine” Eridius leaned forward and spoke under her breath.
Her red orbs ignited, fiery flames literally dancing in them.
“Do your worst Eridius” I scoffed with a hiss, daring her.
A dangerous smirk curved by the corners of Eridius lips before two demon horns sprouted out of her forehead.
“Believe me I will” she said raking my appearance with a devilish glint in her eyes.
“Stay away from the demon kings. This is my last warning” she added before walking out of my room.
