Cristelle could only sigh, “You guys should stand up. People will think I’m bullying you if they see you kneeling,” Taking a pause, she continued, “Things have passed, and I don’t want to mention them anymore. But I really don’t want to see you guys anymore. Just leave the city and go back to your home. I will pretend things like this never happened between us. Please leave now.”
With that, Cristelle opened the door, letting her babies and friends enter her apartment.
Cyrus quickly yanked Rose and Ingrid up, “Thank you. Thank you for being so generous, Cristelle. I’m taking them back right now.”
Cristelle cast them one last look before slamming the door closed. She leaned against the cold door, feeling weird. Why did Cyrus change his attitude so fast?
If it were before, they would never come here to apologize.
She looked at Linford subconsciously.
Linford was looking back at her. She took back her gaze instantly, blushing.
Linford put Candace on the couch, “Daddy needs to go back to his house and get changed. You play with your brother first.”
That ugly woman just touched his pants. He couldn’t bear to think her filthy hands left marks on his garment.
Candace nodded slowly.
Drew laughed, “Why are you still living in another apartment, though? Just stay here with them.”
“No!”
“No!”
The two answers snapped at the same time. It was Cristelle and Cody. They both objected to Drew’s suggestion. They could barely bear him when he lived on the same floor.
Linford huffed coldly, walking out of the apartment.
Drew was confused. Did he just say something wrong? Fritzi was smarter than him, yet she chose to be silent. She could guess Linford hadn’t won Cody and Cristelle’s hearts.
Drew instantly changed the topic, pulling at Candace’s hand, “I heard you’re so popular in school today, aren’t you, little princess?”
Candace nodded, smiling sweetly at him.
Fritzi abruptly complimented Cody, too, “Cody is also such an amazing boy. You did a great job taking care of your sister. By the way, you promised to cook for me last time. Do you still remember that?”
“Of course,” Cody held his chin up proudly, “Just wait. I’ll get things prepared real fast.”
Fritzi laughed and planted him against the seat, “I was only joking. You should play with your sister. I’ll cook something for you and your sister today.”
Saying that, she followed Cristelle to the kitchen.
“Geez, Cristelle, are you still treating me as your friend? Why didn’t you tell me the truth? I only learned that Cody and Candace are Linford’s kids on the news!” Fritzi couldn’t wait to confront Cristelle after seeing the news. She came to Cristelle’s apartment instantly, “How did you guys know each other in the beginning? How did you guys have the babies?”
Cristelle was a bit shy, “Can you stop asking that?”
Fritzi saw Cristelle’s face blushing. So she stopped instantly, “Alight… Fine. I won’t ask you further. But I’m really curious, Drew seems to know everything. No wonder he asked Officer Charles and me to leave first that day. Humph, he’d known the truth the whole time!”
Cristelle couldn’t explain everything to her, and she just sighed heavily.
Drew not only knew, but also he pretty much plotted everything. Cristelle wanted to burst this out but suppressed herself from doing it.
Fritzi could tell that Cristelle must have gone through a lot all these years, so she patted her shoulder gently, “Things will only get better after the truth is revealed. Mr. Bradley is a great man. Your kids will also be happier after having their father’s support.”
Cristelle put on an apron and smiled, “I believe things will only get better soon.”
The meal tonight was great. Cristelle made a lot of dishes that her babies enjoyed.
Of course, she also made something Linford might like.
The dinner table felt warm and happy, with so many people surrounding it.
“My mom told me the teacher taught the kids to dance in school today. She mentioned Candace was the best dancer in the class. Tiffany said Candace knew how to dance along with the beat gracefully,” Drew informed them happily.
Cristelle and Linford didn’t know about that.
Cody put down his glass of juice, “It’s true. Candace is an amazing dancer.”
“Really? Did you dance well then?” Drew asked purposely.
Cody stuttered, “Candace was good… I… She knows how to dance.” He refused to mention his dance skills.
Cody knew he was a genius in many things, but he didn’t know how to dance.
“Candace, can you perform for us?” Fritzi urged the little girl, playing the music already.
Candace was a shy baby. She had wished she could dance like other kids in kindergarten. But she hadn’t dared to do that. And then, Mrs. Weston suddenly started to dance. She looked so confident with her plump body. Candace had thus joined her. After hearing a couple of compliments, she got braver.
“Come on, Candace. I’ll dance with you!” Cody gently pulled his sister’s hand and took her to the middle of the living room.
Cody didn’t know how to dance, but he would dance for his sister. Candace, however, was such a talented little dancer. She looked both elegant and confident when she danced.
Cristelle’s eyes went red. She suddenly felt that coming to this city with her babies was the best choice she had ever made.
Linford had already decided to silently invite the best dancing teacher in this city for his baby girl.
Candace ran into Cristelle’s arms shyly after the dance. Fritzi and Drew cheered for the little girl. Cristelle had never seen her daughter’s smile on any occasion before.
Drew and Fritzi only left their apartment after the babies went to sleep.
Cristelle felt grateful to them. If it were not for these people, her little girl would never get better so fast.

Meanwhile, in the Barnett’s mansion, Diego slumped against the sofa heavily after hearing about the news.
Cristelle’s babies belonged to the Bradley family, and Linford Bradley is the children’s father.
How… How was it even possible? Diego stood on the balcony, drinking wine, glass after glass. Pamela looked at her husband through the window from her room.
He looked devastated.
She started to blame Cristelle again, swearing in her mind how bitch Cristelle was!
Why? Why did everyone love her?
Why was she always so lucky? However, at this moment, Mrs. Barnett faints after knowing the truth.
That man she had sabotaged years ago was Linford Bradley.
Thinking about what she had done back then, a film of cold sweat covered Mrs. Barnett’s body.
