Clank!
An expensive antique vase was thrown against the hard floor.
Clara was smashing things like a crazy woman inside the luxurious bedroom of the Bradley villa.
“Cristelle had Linford’s babies? When did that happen? Why didn’t anyone tell me about this? How come you didn’t know until now?”
Clara was not that elegant, high-class lady anymore. Instead, she looked like she was out of her mind.
Zoe was quivering, “Clara, just relax. Those journalists are making things up. If the babies’ father were really Linford, his dad would have taken the babies back to the main house, but he barely said anything. It just proved that the news was fake.”
Clara threw that newspaper roll on Zoe’s face, “Useless woman! Take a look yourself! Look how much they look like each other! If they were not his children, why would Linford go to kindergarten? That woman is such a snake! How did she manage to hide the babies for years? Now, she’s gonna be the one and only Mrs. Bradley soon!”
“She wishes!” Zoe pulled at Clara’s sleeve, making her sit down on the couch, “The Bradley house has strict rules. That woman has flaws in her past. Mr. Bradley will never accept her. Besides, most big houses tend to kick mothers out if they come from low-class families. If this is real, you must prepare yourself for that.”
That Cristelle was a cunning bitch. Clara wanted to scream out her thoughts. Clara had been trying to investigate her, but she couldn’t get anything. It almost felt like someone had purposely wiped Cristelle’s history clean.
Clara’s head was spinning, and her hands were shaking, “We must do something before the truth could reach Grandpa. I don’t care if it’s real or not. We must solve them as quickly as we can.”
“Don’t worry. We will get a chance. I know it’s difficult under Mrs. Weston’s watch, but we will get a chance sooner or later. Just take it slow, Clara.” Zoe tried to comfort her friend.
Clara loved Linford so much for a very long time. She was already his sister-in-law, but she just couldn’t give up her feelings.
Clara shook her head, “Getting rid of the kids is not easy. But we can still get rid of that woman first. Go investigate Cristelle. Kill that bitch if it’s necessary,” Clara was gritting her teeth as she spat out the last sentence.
Clara had been so cautious all this time. She didn’t expect two babies to pop out from nowhere and instantly become Linford’s children.
She even took Clyde’s life away for Linford. However, another woman seems to be the obstacle to her plans.
She wished Cristelle a miserable death.
Zoe hesitated for a moment, nodding heavily in the end. “Okay. I’ll do it. You should relax. You still have a charity party later. Don’t let people see that look on your face, or they will have weird suspicions against you.”
Clara nodded weakly, feeling devastated.

Cristelle sent the babies to their school the next day. She turned to look at Linford after the babies walked into the gate.
“I don’t need to hop in your car back home. You just go first.”
Linford arched an eyebrow, “Why is that? Do you have some private issues to take care of?”
Cristelle looked guarded, “Why are you asking? It’s none of your business anyway. We had a deal. Do you still remember that?”
Linford wanted to get mad, but he suppressed his emotion, “I am your boss. Can I at least know why you are skipping your work today?” His lips then curled up amusingly after saying that.
Cristelle suddenly remembered that she should go back to work now that the problems had been solved.
“Can I ask for a day’s leave? I’ll go to the company tomorrow. See you later,” Cristelle didn’t want to waste more time as she ran away.
Linford just stood there, watching her for a while before taking out his phone that kept vibrating in his pocket, “Alfred? | know. You don’t need to do that anymore. Just keep an eye on Cristelle all day, okay? I need you to ensure her safety.”
“Yes, sir,” Alfred answered on the other side of the phone.

Cristelle went to the airport directly. Claire’s city was quite far from her place. It would take at least two hours to fly there. Cristelle had plans to find her sister. She would return before 5, so she could pick up her babies after school.
Meanwhile, Alfred also secretly followed her and got on the same flight.
Two hours passed quite fast. Cristelle was so excited after getting off the plane.
She is going to see her sister soon. She got changed in the airport bathroom, putting on a black beanie and a pair of sunglasses.
She knew those people would probably come to harm her. So she must disguise herself perfectly to avoid any harm.
Cristelle took in a deep breath when she walked out of the airport. She still remembered the promise between her and Claire when they were little girls. They had promised that they would travel around the world when they grew up.
Now, it felt like she realized this dream was surreal.
Cristelle hailed a taxi and uttered an address to the driver after getting in. The place she was going to was clustered by teahouses and handcraft studios.
Diego had told her that Claire had been working in one of those handcraft studios. He had even sent her the picture where Claire was working there. She must be there now.
“Ma’am, we’ve arrived,” The driver stopped the car at the address she mentioned earlier.
Cristelle handed her fare before getting out of the car. She went to that studio directly, but the door was locked.
How did that happen?
Did something go wrong?
Cristelle was so anxious. She could only go to ask the owner of the next-door teahouse, “Ma’am, excuse me. When will that shop next to your place be open?”
The teahouse owner was smiling. “That studio closed a couple of days ago. I think they won’t open up very soon.”
