Cody jumped off his chair the minute he heard what Drew just said, grabbing the hem of his shirt, “What? What happened to mom? I’ve called Officer Charles. Didn’t he get Mom now?” Saying that, the boy was ready to run out of the room.
Drew stopped him, “Wait! Don’t worry. Mr. Bradley has got your mom. They’re on their way back.”
Drew didn’t expect the little guy to be able to know tracking technology so well. He’s pretty impressed upon realizing that.
At this moment, Linford walked into the apartment, carrying Cristelle in his arms. Cody dashed out of his room instantly, “Mom! Mom!”
Linford ignored the boy, carrying Cristelle directly into her bedroom. Drew followed.
Cody and Candace both wanted to get into that room, but Drew stopped them timely, “Your mom gets sick. She needs treatment. You two should wait outside.”
Fritzi went to pull the children back, “You two should be good. Drew is a great doctor. You two will stand in his way if you get inside that room. Let’s go to the living room and wait for them.”
“How did she get sick? She was okay when she left,” Cody sounded like he was gonna cry.
Candace didn’t know what had happened. She looked at her brother in fear.
Cody noticed Officer Charles also got into the living room. So he went to ask, “Sir, what happened to my mom exactly?”
Officer Charles sighed, “Your mom just doesn’t feel well. She’ll be fine soon.”
Cody knew these adults must be hiding something.
Inside Cristelle’s bedroom, she was lying on her bed. She couldn’t help but whimper in discomfort, squirming against the sheets.
She felt her body being nibbled by thousands of ants.
Her legs clasped as she moaned against her pillow.
Cristelle was rolling in her bed, her whole body quivering in desire. Her moan drove Linford crazy.
Linford looked away, swallowing. Drew was a professional doctor. He went to feel Cristelle’s body temperature without flinching, “God… She’s burning.”
Drew looked up. “Linford, this effect looks like a date rape drug. She will suffer if she doesn’t have sex now. You guys have already had two babies. Why don’t you just…”
“No!” Cristelle screamed, “Get out! Both of you! I’ll be…. I’ll be fine…”
Linford ignored her, his fists balling up, “Just get her temperature down already. Don’t waste your time on nonsense.”
Drew could only give her a couple of shots to calm her down. Then, he asked Linford to bring Cristelle to the bathroom, soaking her in cool water.
“This is the best we can do. Let’s wait outside,” Drew said.
Linford cast a glance at the bathroom.
His face darkened. Everyone could tell he was furious.
Thud!
Two strong thuds sounded against the wall and caught Linford’s attention, “What happened to her?”
“I don’t know. She’s probably slamming the wall with her head. That drug is powerful. She could only wait until the heat goes away,” Drew answered matter-of-factly.
Linford didn’t hesitate to burst into the bathroom. Drew tried to follow, but Linford slammed the door in his face.
What the heck with that rude attitude? Drew muttered silently.
Was he ready to fulfill the obligation of a husband? Drew laughed at the sick joke, seating himself on the couch.
Inside the bathroom, Cristelle was crumpled in the bathtub. She had taken off her clothes, only having her bra and panty on, cold water splashing against her body. She was trembling.
Linford went to help her up. He didn’t want her to drown in the water, “Are you trying to kill yourself?”
“Let… Let go of me…” Cristelle struggled, whimpering, “Let go!”
Cristelle looked like she was on her edge.
Linford swallowed. He suddenly had the urge to pin her against the wall and lick every inch of her body until the pain went away.
Stop. Stop thinking about that. Linford growled as he fought the urge, “I won’t let go. You’ll probably get yourself killed.”
He adjusted the water and made it less rushing, pushing the damp hair against her eyes away.
Cristelle shivered in the bathtub. The desire in her core was driving her crazy. Her sanity had evaporated at this point. Moaning deliriously, Cristelle’s hand went down to caress the thin fabric of her underwear.
Linford’s breath hitched, looking at her rigidly.
When Linford carried Cristelle back to her bedroom, she had fallen asleep. He ensured the temperature was not too cold before leaving the room, looking tired.
When he pushed open the door, Cody glared at him, “What did you do to my mom?”
Linford bent over and picked him up. The boy kicked and lashed out in his arms, “Let me go!”
“Hush!” Linford hushed him, pointing at the bed.
Cody only stopped struggling when he saw his mom was sleeping soundly on her bed.
“Put me down!” Cody yelled when they got to the living room.
Linford ignored his rudeness, “Your mom feels weak now. Don’t interrupt her, okay?”
Cody pouted, nodding, “Okay.”
Linford only put the boy down now since he had his promise.
They stared at each other for a while.
“Hungry?” Linford arched an eyebrow.
“No!” Cody rolled his eyes and ran away.
Drew was still lying on the sofa, laughing, “It seems like you still can’t manage to make the little guy like you.”
Linford cast him a cold glance, and Drew shut up instantly.
“Can you cook?” Linford suddenly asked, “The babies need to eat.”
Why did he look like he had just killed someone? Drew silently asked, neglecting the possibility that Linford Bradley could also have blue balls.
The doctor shrugged and stood up from the sofa, going to the kitchen. Linford went to brush his teeth and wash his face. After that, he went directly to the babies’ bedroom.
The babies would usually sleep with their mom. But because of what happened last night, they slept in their bedroom. Linford had been here to tuck them in until they both fell asleep.
Candace was in a pair of pink pajamas, rubbing her eyes confusingly as she saw Linford.
“What are you doing here?” Cody asked alertly.
