“Open the door.” Charles tells her, standing few metres away. “Open the damn door.”
“Now, you’re making me scared.” She tiptoes back, going straight into the joint room. “Why would you stay behind me and tell me to open the door? What if there’s a monster in there?”
“I’m the wicked mate, right?” Charles asks, as he hugs her and leads her back into his room. He shuts the door behind them, and exhales.
“So, where are the frames?” Kimberly asks, sitting on his bed. “I gotta say few things to the warriors. You’re creeping me out.”
“Well…” Charles says and approaches her in bed. “… no frames, no sweets, no cakes.”
Kimberly rolls her eyes at him, and shrugs.
“Don’t be a damn Prankster, Charles.” She sighs, and stands up to go.
“No, not a prank!” Charles makes her sit on his bed. Then, he places his lips into his clasped palms, and whistles.
The door leading to the bathroom jerks open. George and Kellie wobble out and move towards Kimberly. Not following Charles’ system of getting shocked, she yelps and shrieks on top of her voice.
“What! What! What!” She exclaims as the hair on her skin stands on end. She gulps and gulps as she stands up from the bed and screams, hugging Kellie tightly.
“Charles!” She screams with joy, hugging Kellie to the point of suffocating her. “Charles!”
“What is it?” Charles chuckles as Kimberly guides Kellie to sit on the bed. Kellie smiles sheepishly as her mother peers into her beautiful eyes for a long time and without saying a word. George scratches the back of his neck, and exhales sharply not because Kimberly hasn’t hug him but because Kimberly places her head on the tip of Kellie’s, and kisses her forehead.
There’s a knock on the door. Kimberly stands up to jerk it open and then she realizes George’s presence in the room.
“George!!” She yells even more than she did, earlier. “George!! Wow!!” She hugs him and pats his back.
“Now, you gotta tell me how.” She pecks his chin, and opens the door a bit.
“Who is it?” She whispers and looks around the door then she sees Alfred approaching.
“Anything?” She mutters.
“I heard you scream. So I came to check up on you, that’s all.” He replies her, trying to get inside the room. Kimberly disallows him, and tells him, “Go to your room. I’ll see you this morning.”
Alfred walks back into his room with his gloomy face and slumps on his bed. Though he heard the name GEORGE, all his thought is that he’s being mind linked and hasn’t responded for a while.
Kimberly shuts the door behind her, and seeing George cuddling Kellie, she hugs them both, and hiccups. Then, she breaks off from them since her palms slide from their backs. She jams herself on the ground, and Charles moves quickly to help her up.
“Alert the warriors to stay indoors.” Charles says, through the pack’s mind link. “Does anyone copy? Over.”
“Let all the warriors preparing to fight in the Wasteland stay indoors until further notice.” He repeats. “Does anyone copy? Over.”
“Yes, I copy.” Martin retorts. “Any update?”
“Just ensure that’s so, Alpha. We will come to your chamber by noon. Maybe moon goddess doesn’t want anyone to move out today. Not even the prepared warriors.” Charles retorts in his mind link with the pack’s.
“This is unlike you, Charles.” Martin replies, smelling rats. Charles could not have said to the warriors to quit if he hasn’t seen gotten a better, safer and quicker means or better still, gotten the solution already. “What about coming over to meet you?”
“No, Alpha. We will honor you by coming in the noon.” Charles says. Shutting his eyes, he cuts the mind link and returns to his normal self. Charles shudders as he returns into his human form again.
“This worths celebrating.” Kimberly springs up from the bed, leaving Charles and George with Kellie rolling against one another. Without any music playing, she starts to dance. She twerk-s until she gets the number and type of comments she wants. And until she gets tired and starts sweating like a runaway baboon.
“Now, did I make you seem like a lunatic?” Charles asks as she comes over to lay in bed.
“Screw that.” She muffles under her breath, gasping and sighing.
“Mum, here.” Kellie makes her lay down, George on her right side while Kimberly remains at her left angle and Charles lay right beside George.
They doze off without planning it, and the ticking of 10am jerks them all up except Kellie.
“Beta Charles, good morning sir. You have to resume work in the fifty fourth field, right behind room 132.” A voice says, before Charles opens his eyes fully. Charles springs from the bed, and replies hastily, “Sure. Will be right there with you.”
Suddenly, Kimberly jerks up from the bed and starts to laugh maniacally, making Charles shudder.
“Don’t tell me you spoke.” Charles clears his throat, and purrs. Kimberly holds her navel tight but they seem getting in again, she stifles giggles which eventually graduates to laughing him to scorn.
“I should have let you get to the field before you know I spoke.” She struggles to say since only laughter comes up her throat. “My bad.”
George rolls in bed, chuckles, and dozes off again.
“This is bad.” Charles comments, slowly walking into the bath room, clad in a towel. “Why would you prank me?”
“You pranked me, no? You said you made me frames.” Kimberly says, shrugging.
“But what you met is far greater than frames.” He stammers.
“That’s not the point. It’s now 1-1.” She giggles again. “Do quick and join the masters.”
Charles hisses in the bathroom, and Kimberly tiptoes to the doorstep. She flings the door open and shuts it again without going in or out through it.
“Make me breakfast too! Make us breakfast!” Charles yells from the bath room, and she silently giggles. “Can you hear me?”
Kimberly jerks the bathroom door open, and stares at him in the bath tub.
“Don’t tell me I was pranked again.” He says, and she giggles, giving him the “yeah” response.
“Kimberly, just go to your room. You’re pissing me off.”
She giggles again.
“You know I don’t like pranks.” He tells her.
“You know I like pranks.” She retorts.
“I’m not you.” He says.
“You’re me, and I’m you.” She retorts, and shuts the door behind her. “May I join you in the tub?”
“Oh, you’re carrying a pup. Wanna be naughty this morning?”
“Maybe not. I’ll go dress Kellie up now and you can move to your work field.”
“Alrighty, dear.” He says. “I’ll be done soon.”
Kimberly enters the room but holds onto the doorknob still, peering at George and Kellie lying down.
“Charles, don’t you think she should be marked today?” She asks him, and rattles the doorknob when she doesn’t get any response.
“Well…” Charles jerks out of the bath room, fully dressed. “… let her rest.”
“She’d meet with Albert, shift under the full moon, activate her mind link, think of how to complete her high school grades.” He adds. “So, getting mated to her can be adjourned.”
“Until she gets a big belly?”
“Ma?”
“Until she carries George’s pup?”
“No, absolutely not.” Charles chuckles. “Maybe I’d have to let George know. Kellie should complete her high school grades even if she’s to be pregnant at all.”
“Or until she gets lost?”
Then, silence dawns on them. Neither of them say a word. Charles wears his sandals and storms out of the room, Kimberly follows behind him, saunters down the staircases and waves him goodbye. Though he clearly sees the figure waving at him, he doesn’t look back – he exits the sitting room at once, jerking the door open and close forcefully. Kimberly hisses, and goes straight into the kitchen. The metal clanking together in the kitchen wakes Kellie up in her dad’s room from her sleep and George jerks awake as well. Kellie goes into his arms, and hugs him warmly, “have you killed three wolves?” She says and George chuckles.
“That’s gone. Never to happen anymore.” George runs his hands into her hair, and kisses her forehead.
“Are you sure?” Alfred says and walks into the room. Kellie leaves the tight hug, and stares at Alfred. George squints his eyes as well and loads his memory.
“Dude, you can’t remember me?” Alfred stands at the doorstep, moves in and shuts the door behind him. He leans his back on the door, and claps his palms together. “George.”
“Oh, stalker?” Kellie suddenly says and her heart gasps. “Stalker!”
“I’m not a stalker. Well, your mate has stolen my power from me and I’m here to take it back.” He says, and George shudders.
“Pardon?” George says. “Please, get out of this room.”
Alfred chuckles and claps his palms together again, “this One-time slave is the one ordering me to get out!”
“Please, Stalker, you know you caused all these. Please, just move out or else.”
“Or else what?” He retorts, almost immediately.
“Or else water.” George replies, and walks up to him. He punches Alfred on his nose, and Alfred winces and attempts to try his as well but it goes into the thin air as George dodges the hit.
“Go out, man.” He pushes him out, and shuts the door behind himself. Alfred purrs, and walks into his room. As soon as George hears the hit sound the door makes with its socket, he locks the door in the room he is, and goes to meet Kellie in bed.
“I can kiss you till death do us apart.” There he goes again, his two palms holding the back of Kellie’s head while his lips connect with hers. Kellie moans and moans as a result of the continuous and long-awaited kiss.
There and then, Kimberly knocks on the door after settling their meals in the dining room and on the dining table. She knocks, not because she knows the door is locked but to jerk Kellie up and direct her downstairs to eat her junks and have her meal. After waiting for minutes and not getting any response, she hears muffled moans. Her heart pumps a lot of blood as she rattles the doorknob. Then, she notices it’s locked.
“George, what the hell are you doing with my daughter?!” She yells, kicking the door with her feet. “The door was on latch. I didn’t lock it.”
Albert then comes out from his room to frame George and Kellie up.
