“We are right here.” The voice that is capable of destroying a whole pack house grunts from behind. Then, it graduates to three voices.
“Great! Welcome, Vampires.” Festus greets them.
“We greet the Alpha.” They bow their heads slightly, and tilt it back to their normal positions.
Then, they march towards the post. Towards the bricks in the distance, after brushing past the bricks is where the journey starts to the Wasteland.
“Don’t fret, we are going to save Kellie Leo this day.” Elf Jane assures as they move around the bricks, and head downwards, leading to the Wasteland.
**23 hours Later**
Prick, prick, prick!
Voices making these sounds stop them in their tracks as they halt suddenly and become on the alert.
“Who are you?” The paranormal being approaches them, thrusting out of the dungeon.
The dungeon is the only means to get out from the wasteland, no one has ever thought of it. Since no one would think or be glad to be dumped in the dungeon, the wasteland operators leave the passage alone.
Then, as one of the red wolves approach all of them, Kellie drops on the ground.
“Kellie!” George calls her from inside and follows her into the dungeon. Kellie sees a gap and she lets herself drop to the floor while George doesn’t see any hole to jump into, so he remains stuck but can clearly see Alpha Festus and his Betas.
“Oh, you want to wage war against the Wastehouse?” The red wolf asks them, standing still where she is. Once she notices Kellie drop to the ground, she sends her up again.
“That’s Kellie Leo.” Elf Jane tells Alpha Fred. Richard stands with Senior while Austin stands with Junior but the three vampires only growl and stay where they are. Alpha Festus then approaches the red wolf.
“Hand Kellie Leo over to us.” Festus tells her but she only snickers and mocks his accent. Kellie gets up with George and George’s face beams with smiles. At least, if she’s to be rescued, he’d be rescued as well.
It is 3pm in the afternoon. The wizard had been lurking around the cages, looking for George and Kellie to ask for the wolves they have murdered so far but he doesn’t see them. He crawls into the dungeon after discovering an object moving about and shivering. He doesn’t even know they are two objects – two beings. As he enters and lifts his eyes up, George curves around Kellie and forms the shape of a tree. The noise downwards catches his attention instead and he drops to the ground.
“Problem.” The three vampires say, and leave the fighting scene. The elves, the Betas and Alpha Festus wonder why they see the wizard that just dropped as a problem. But nevertheless, they would fight.
“Hey, Stop arguing with the fools.” The wizard smirks, shouting at the red wolf who is arguing with Alpha Festus.
“Who are those fools?” Senior and Junior sharply retort.
“You of course.” He smiles. “Alpha Festus, this smell of yours is similar.”
How does he know his name? He’s a wizard, remember?
“Just take your leave right now. As those three empty heads left peacefully, just leave right now or you’d regret it.” The wizard states.
“Red Wolf 112, go to your duty and come back here in two minutes time with the wasting tools so you’ll waste all these elements.” He splutters, freely.
“Sure!” She Snickers, and creep into the dungeon again. As she crawls inside, she sees George and Kellie lying down flatly together.
“Hey, did you slip in here? Get back to work.” She orders but George pleads with his eyes.
“I don’t understand?” She furrows her forehead.
“Please, I want to go. I want to go.” George repeats. “With Kellie.”
“No. Not possible.” The red wolf chuckles, and shrugs. Unexpectedly, Kellie rolls away from George and hits the red wolf with different punches. Playing along though not earlier planned, George forms his palms into his fists and uses his White wolf power. White Wolves are against red wolves, totally. He hits the red wolf and she wails as she drops to the ground again, to the dismay of the wizard and together with George and Kellie.
“Oh, Kellie!” Festus remarks, and moves near Kellie. The wizard’s lips quaver and he twists his hands against Festus. Senior lets the power divert to the red wolf, Junior sends the wizard to the ground and he winces in pain. Festus chuckles and gleams with happiness since the red wolf has been rolled up in air and has disappeared into the thin air while the wizard is on the ground wincing in pain. What can affect them now is the regain of power of the wizard or if any other members approach.
“Let’s go, quick.” George says, and Richard helps him with holding onto Kellie as he has refused Festus from touching his chin.
“Oh, it’s you, idiot.” Festus comments but he doesn’t respond. They all head straight to the brick they brushed past. As the wizard rises up again, he twists his hands towards Kellie but the Junior wolf stays in her gap as she rolls up but fortunately falls flat in the field, exactly the next route after brushing past the bricks. She waits there for others to approach – Senior, Jane, Festus, Richard, Austin. George, Kellie.
“Now, straight back to my pack.” Festus orders and they (including Junior) all march and run towards the stalls. The fat folk winks at Jane again and Jane retorts with an up-and-down look.
“No, we are not heading to his pack.” George takes Kellie into his own arms only, and cuddles her softly.
“This is why I came here myself and spent a lot of bucks. You had better not play jokes with me except you want to be tied down again.” Alpha Festus frowns his face at George who is kissing Kellie on her chin multiple times and cuddling her to himself dearly.
Richard draws near to George, and whispers into his ears, “Well, I know she’s your mate but don’t be adamant – play along with him, I’ll back you up.”
“Never.” George whispers back, and Richard spits at him. Little they did know that George now has a big wolf in him, and a white wolf has been attached to him.
They enter the pack house through the backyard as suggested by the elf though Alpha Festus with Richard and Austin go through the main gate so anyone won’t suspect their moves.
“Welcome back, Alpha.” The security man bows his head, and opens the gate. Alpha Festus and his Betas march towards his official room but the security wolf stops them in their tracks.
“Three rogues attacked today. Fifty warriors went for it but they have been bound now.” The security wolf says. Alpha Festus, all his thought based on Kellie moves into his room without replying the security wolf with one word. His Betas follow suit. Festus jerks the door open and yells. “Where is he?” This is the first question he’d ask, directing his gazes at the three elves. “Where is Kellie?”
“I don’t know.” Jane replies, adjusting her position of sitting.
“What the fuck are you saying?” He fumes but he’s got no wolf so they are all at rest. “Then open the door and get out. All of you.”
Senior and Junior move out, Richard and Austin jerk the door open but Festus stops them from moving with his hands raised up.
“You can take your leave.” He orders Jane, yelling as much as he can.
“Sure, I will. But after you pay me my money.”
Festus’ countenance changes but he soon warms himself up.
“Open the damn door…” he orders, his voice breaking into fury. “… And get the hell out of my office.”
“Jane, just do that. He’s not in the mood.” Richard tells Jane and she rises to her feet. She hisses and walks up to the door. Jerking it open and storming out, she mutters, “as though he can shift.”
“Richard. Austin. Come over here.” He beckons to them. After shutting the door tight, they walk up to him and pull stools to sit on.
“I want you all to cooperate. We need Kellie in this kingdom. I have to pay forty thousand dollars to that elf and now, I’ve not even touched Kellie nor have I pecked her lips.” Festus sobs.
“Alpha! Alpha!” Alexander yells from outside, standing right at the doorstep.
“Alexander, thank you for checking up on me…” Festus yells back. “… But I’m busy with some works now, tell other Betas, I’ll call for you soon. Okay?”
“Sure, Alpha!” He retorts, and exits the doorstep.
“Where did Kellie and George go to?” Festus asks, questioningly.
“To the rest room, I think.”
“Argh. Oops. What are they doing in the rest room?”
“George said she was wounded on her way – so he needed to treat her.” Richard scoffs.
“Where was she wounded?”
“Alpha! You have thirty one mate wolves you can sleep with. Stop being dirty.”
“Such a rude Beta. You’re nuts.” Festus replies, and clenches his fists. Richard and Austin point at him and laughs at him in derision, knowing fully well he’s got no wolf in him.
“I heard three rogues attacked and wounded fifty warriors.” Festus brings up another discussion.
“Well…” Austin comments. “… I have checked them out and they are exactly the three vampires Jane ordered.”
“Same ones that escaped when we needed them the most.” Richard adds.
“Oh…” Festus scoffs.
“Fifty warriors went for it, Alpha.” Austin reminds him.
“I know…” he shrugs. ‘… they weren’t watchful in the first place?”
Then, the door creaks open . Kellie and George enter and Kellie kneels in front of Alpha Festus.
“Oh my pretty girl…” Festus says, drawing her near for a hug. “… do you like my pack?”
Kellie shrugs, and replies, “No. I’m returning to my own pack. Thanks for saving me.”
