“Holy shit!” Festus cusses under his breath as he hits the security wolves at the main gate leading to his pack house.
“Welcome back, Alpha Festus.” Douglas, one of his Betas helps him inside while others follow behind.
“Where is Alfred?” Collins asks and they all enter the official room.
“Shut the door.” Festus orders. Then, he moves up to his chair and slumps on it, exhaling as he adjusts his position.
Alpha Festus, Six Betas including Douglas and Richard.
“Alfred doesn’t belong to us any longer.” Festus suddenly says, and his forehead wrinkles.
“What!” Austin exclaims while others remain agape, especially Richard that stood behind and didn’t fight at all.
“Tell us something, Alpha.” Alexander speaks up, his voice breaking. “What do you mean by that?”
“Alfred is a traitor. He betrayed us and surrendered to the pack.” Festus sobs.
“So an Alpha can sob.” One Beta whispers to the other and they both snigger. Festus hears them but acts as though he doesn’t.
“You know what? We will train 200 warriors and prepare ourselves well as we would go fight for Alfred.”
“I think you should be mad at him.” Richard scoffs.
“He’s the only white wolf we have in this whole pack. Don’t you think I should think of how to get him back?”
Richard snickers, “An Alpha that is powerful doesn’t need to go around looking for white wolves.”
“What do you mean by that?” Festus asks in fury.
“No matter how he gets angry, no wolf can thrust out. Provoke him more.” Austin whispers to Richard.
“Come on, guys!” Alexander speaks up again. “Our Alpha must be strengthened, don’t you think so?”
“Yeah, yeah…” Festus remarks. “Thank you.”
“Not about thank you.” Richard cuts in. “Let’s go outside the field and start the training.”
With none objecting, they all troop out of the official room as they walk up to the fields where different paranormal beings are training the wolf warriors.
Alpha Festus demonstrates one of the kind of bending legs and hands at a time to skip the punching rogues give, and the warriors cheer.
“Will see you guys later.” Richard and Austin tell others, and walk away to the restroom.
“Alexander, we only have elves here to train our wolf warriors. Do you think we need a higher grade of paranormal beings?”
Alexander stares at him and slowly nods. Festus winks at him and taps one of the elves training the wolves.
“See me in my room in a minute’s time.”
The elf doesn’t say a word neither does she nod. The other five Betas separate into the fields to have some fun, train their wolves by shifting and hitting punch bags.
Alpha Fred slowly walks inside his room, shutting the door behind him. Almost immediately, the elf jerks it open and storms inside.
“Here am I, sir.” She tells Festus and he beckons to her to come sit near him.
“You are an elf. Good. But can I know where you came from?” Festus asks, and she clears her throat and sighs.
“From the wasteland.” She clips.
“What!” Festus says, and shuts his lips when he hears feet thudding near his doorstep.
“Which Wasteland?” Festus asks, again.
“There’s only one Wasteland. Others are termed different names.” She clarifies. “Have you ever heard of the wasteland?”
“Hmm… I’ll say yes.” He stammers, and keeps mute for a while. Sighing, he starts to speak with her again.
“What if I pay you to rescue a wolf?” Festus asks, adjusting his sitting position.
“Lol.” The elf says and smiles. “You can pay me $40000?”
“Come again?” Festus says.
“Forty thousand dollars.”
“It’s just a tip of the iceberg. I’ll pay you eighty thousand dollars. Dollars or Pounds, whatever.”
“Oh Wow.” Her face gleams with happiness. “Who do you want to rescue?”
“Kellie Leo.” Festus says, and looks around the corners in his office.
“Kellie Leo.” He repeats. “The daughter of Charles and Kimberly Leo.”
“No other person?”
Festus thinks for a while, and then he remembers George that he jumped off but he wouldn’t want George to be free as well. So he abruptly replies, “She’s the only one.”
“You know what, sir?” She replies. “I’ll have to go with few vampires, deep spirited ones but that I’m sure wouldn’t harm.”
“Oh My Goodness, where do we get them now?” Festus sighs.
“No qualms. I have them in my abode. The journey to the wasteland takes a full day. But before we go, we have to confirm if moon goddess supports our going. If she does, we’d win. If she doesn’t, we mustn’t go because the pack house comprise red wolves, witches, wizards, elves like us and worst still, vampires though they hardly come out because of the sun.”
Alpha Festus sighs.
“We need to summon the moon goddess right away and again, we must take a white wolf alongside.” She says, and Alpha Fred shudders
“I hope you can get a white wolf from your side.”
“Probably.”
“Go, fast, start making the preparations. Summon the vampires and white wolves. Gather your elves together.”
The elf smiles, and asks, “If I may ask, why do you want to summon Kellie Leo?”
“Because she is to be my mate.”
“Oh, wow.” She says. “I’ll keep you updated within our mind link.
“Sure, thanks.” Festus replies, and she stands up to go. She jerks the door open and moves out. Then, Richard and Austin enter before the door gets shut itself.
“That’s shîtty.” Austin remarks. “Why would he do that?” Richard scoffs, and they enter the room, shutting the door behind them.
“Hi Guys.” Festus waves at them. “I got an update. We are going to…”
“We heard every single word.” Austin cuts in. “I hope she finds everything on time.”
Then, a knock is heard on the door.
“Who is it, please?” Richard asks, slowly opening the door. He opens it fully after discovering the person is not here to harm but is here to deliver a message from the moon goddess.
“Alpha Festus, we hail you!” The Warrior bows his head. “Elf Jane told us we should beseech the moon goddess whether they should go or they shouldn’t.”
“Yes, sure. She just told me.” Festus replies and sits up.
“Moon goddess disapproved it.” He tells him. “I’m sorry, Alpha.” For some minutes, Alpha Festus remains silent on his seat, he doesn’t say anything neither do Richard and Austin say a word.
“You can go, thank you.” Festus tells him, and he goes out of the room.
“Call the elf.” Richard tells him, and the next minute, the elf enters the room.
“He said moon goddess disapproved it.” Festus tells her.
“Then we can’t go. Sorry.” The elf says.
“You’ll go with the Alpha, me, Beta Austin, three vampires, three or four elves and some other kind of beings we meet on the way.” Richard says.
“Do you think we need to consider the moon goddess right now?” Austin adds and the elf nods.
“Gather yourselves together. Let’s head straight to the Larry and Andrew Revenue stalls. Behind that stall, there’s an open field. It’s free today, so that’s where we I’ll take.” She says, jamming her palms together to let them know its urgent.
“Don’t forget to take water or bread along. A day to get there, and we don’t know how many days it’d take us to find that lost wolf.” She tells him, and walks out. Within few minutes, they are all dressed and waiting for the elf. The elf approaches and signals to them to keep moving.
“The Vampires are not really responding.” She whispers once she gets to where she can be heard. “They don’t like the sun, it scorches them. They might get burnt or worst still, they power might wilt.”
“Alrighty, do quick.” Alpha Festus tells her. He, Austin and Richard move towards the gate.
“Alpha Festus, can we know where you are heading to?” One of the security wolves ask.
“Why should you question the Alpha? Are you nuts?” Richard barks at him but Festus holds his hands up telling him to keep quiet.
“I’m coming back here, okay?” Festus says, and they barge out of the main gate, walking fast and scurrying their feet.
“Alpha! To where?!” Alexander yells, and runs after him from the field where he’s been trained but the security wolf blocks his way.
“Let me go! What did Alpha Festus say? Where’s he going?” Alexander asks multiple times.
“Please, respect yourself and go to the field. Two Betas are with him, he’d be safe. And if you have any other questions, mind link him if his personal mind link is active.”
One part of Alexander wants to thank him while the other part wants to hiss and walk out on him. The latter takes control, and the security wolf sighs.

“Sir, please can we go now?” The elf pleads with the three vampires available behind the pack house. “Please, the Alpha would be there now.”
“We will meet you there. Drop your address.” One of the three says, and the elf nods.
“Elf Jane, I’m not going to follow you. But these two elves will follow you instead.” One of the elves training the wolves tells elf Jane. Elf Jane is the elf Alpha Festus ordered.
“Sure.” She says, gives the vampires the address written boldly in a sheet of paper while she turns her back to them and passes through the backyard with the two elves.
“Your names?”
“Senior and Junior.” The older one retorts. They hold hands in unison as they jump down the fence, unscathed.
“We are elves, aren’t we?” Elf Jane boasts of their power to jump from a high distance without getting hurt in any means. “We can speed more than wolves can. We will just shut our eyes and zoom into the location being repeated in our lips.”
“Larry and Andrews Revenue Stalls!” Elf Jane screams. “Repeat after me!”
“Larry and Andrews Revenue Stalls!” They repeat in tones higher in pitch compared to Jane’s.
“Shut your eyes now, and keep repeating those words.” Elf Jane instructs.
They do so, Jane does so too and in ten seconds, they get to the stalls.
“Hey idiot.” A fat folk waves at Jane as a response for his evaluation of peering into her beautiful face.
“Don’t mind shit.” Jane directs her retorts to Senior and Junior. Then, they get to the back of the field and wave at Alpha Festus and his two Betas who also wave at them. They soon meet, and Alpha Festus looks around them.
“What about the vampires?” Festus asks, bemusedly.
