Susan sat there with another guy laughing. “Finally, I’ll be the Ace’s wife! How would he prove these wrong.” She spoke giving a glance to the pictures on the bed. “It is him in the picture after all.” And both Susan and the man beside laughed.
“Don’t you think she might not believe you and trust him instead.” The man said.
“Oh don’t say that. After having seen these hickeys how’s she going to believe that nothing happened between us both?” She said with utmost credence. “She’d believe that we were together for the whole night.”
“And if he explained her everything with proof. Definitely Mr Ace knows everything. You can’t think he’s gonna fall for your trap.”
“Explain… He.. would never get a chance. I hired someone… To damage her car.” Susan got up and walked to the window. “Moreover he was unconscious all night. He has done with me. That’s all!”
Glancing at the beautiful city from the top floor of the Moonstar hotel she still wasn’t pleased with the delightful view. She looked at it with the eyes full of hatred and gritting her teeth she spoke, “She came by car so she’d go back in it. But alas! She’s not gonna go back. She has to die. And she will die.”
…
“Why? … It was all my fault. Why did I believe a person who forced me to sign the marriage certificate and then I was deceived by his gentleness, his care, his eyes that has the promising look. All… Everything was my fault. I’d have better left him that time.” She can’t stop thinking about this. “He couldn’t believe me when I was with the guy, what does he think my reaction would be after seeing them like that.”
Her phone was continuously ringing. It was Devian trying to contact her.
“Stop calling me!” Arien picked the call and shouted.
“Just listened to me this once Arien, don’t hang up on me. Just once, ask yourself, do you believe that I’d do something of that sort.” Devian spoke. “It’s already raining. It’d be hard to control the car if the speed is too much. Just stop the car once, please, stop.”
“I won’t…” She still was really angry.
He didn’t let her complete and spoke, “Please! I beg you!”
Dean also heard his Director pleading. He felt really bad for him. He could sense how a person who had never once said something of that sort will be feeling. “Love really changes a person.”
Arien took a deep breath and then stepped on the breaks but that…
“De…. Devian the car…. isn’t halting. The breaks have failed.” Arien spoke.
“What! Try pulling the handbrake.” He spoke.
“I’m trying but it isn’t stopping.” Arien was already frightful.
Dean was also on call. He spoke, “Director, madam has entered the route to the bridge. If she’d enter the bridge it would be difficult to drive for madam with that traffic.”
“How could this be? When I arrived to the hotel everything was fine but now, what’s wrong with the car!” Arien spoke to herself.
Devian also heard that. He knew what it was. He knew who was behind it but right now he was helpless.
“Devian…” Arien’s voice came through the speaker.
“Arien, everything will be okay. Just stay calm and I’ll do something… Just let me….”
But she interrupted “Hey hey… Devian… I don’t think anything is going to be right anymore. You’re happy with her…”
“Stop that. It’s…” Devian spoke loudly.
“Let me complete, please” she said in a pitiful voice making Devian shut up instantly. “I just don’t hold any grudge against you Devian… Just why didn’t you tell me. I would’ve gone from your life myself. You… ” Arien took a deep breath before saying, “I wish you live happily, Devian.”
“Stop, don’t do anything reckless, Arien…” He had never felt so helpless ever before. “Dean, give orders to stop all the other vehicles entering here now.”
“I’ve done that, but those which have entered already… We can’t do anything about them.” Dean was also nervous, so nervous, both for his master and madam.
“It’s fated. Let’s just end everything in a good mind. Devian, thank you for everything till now. I thought you were a boon to my already empty life, and you really were. I can’t do anything else except for hitting the rails to stop the car. Take care of yourself Mr Ace.” She said her voice sounded so confident as if she was a superhero who was going to save others life by risking her own.
She knew now that he was Mr Ace. “Arien no…” Devian wasn’t ready to lose her, never!
To eliminate other people’s injuries, she had to do something. But what can Arien do now? The other vehicles from opposite side were approaching her and the vehicles in front of her were blocking the way, moving slowly. With that speed she would collide with them. She only had one choice.
There was a no other way. Arien swirled the steering of the car, if not there was no way her car won’t hit the other vehicles. After spinning the steering so hard she lost control over her car. It ran into the hand rail and flung, finally falling into the river and sinking deep.
“No!” Devian reached there and got out of the car. Dean was just behind. He also came running. If not his master would have already jumped down into the river.
“Fast!” Devian ordered. “Call the rescue team. Damn it! I’ll go find her.” He was about to jump.
“Director, please don’t. Today’s weather is really unpredictable. It may be very difficult for the rescue team to help both of you.” Dean knew the pain but he thought rationally. “The heavy rain since morning has already caused the water level to rise.
“I can’t … let anything happen to her.” Devian looked so awful, almost out of his mind.
“Madam will be fine. It’s just that…” Dean stopped.
“Just what?” Devian was not in a mood of playing any suspense games.
“There is a lot chance that it’ll rain heavily and the weather may get worse. We’ve also got the report that the level of water may rise quite a bit higher.” He reported. “I’m afraid…. Madam would” he really didn’t want to say that out loud.
“Why hasn’t the rescue arrive yet? Where the hell are they?” Devian was restless. It was already late.
Dean was also waiting eagerly. “The vehicles were stopped suddenly, creating a chaotic jam.”
After a short period of time, the rescue team also arrived and went straight to find her.
…
“We aren’t able to find her. Except for the car, we can’t find anything else. I don’t think such turbulent water would’ve let Madam survive.” One of a subordinate reported to Dean. It was already a week but they did not get any clue about her.
Almost everyone has already lost hope. There were only two people who believed that Arien was still alive.
Dean took a deep breath before knocking Devian’s office and entering.
“We’ll find her” Dean was one. “They’re still in action.
And the other was obviously Devian. “Hmm..”
