Devian rushed back to her. “Where is she?” He looked around only to find that she was totally drunk.
“Leo! You’ve come back to take me along?” Susan spoke wrapping her hands around his neck
“Dean, take her back to the car” Devian said pushing her aside but she held onto him even tighter.
Dean was approaching her but she looked at Devian.
“Leo! I can’t walk…” She said and leaned over him as if she was about to pass out.
Devian had no other option. He picked her up.
“Leo, please don’t take me to the mansion, grandpa won’t like it if I’m going there in such a condition.” Susan said in a faint voice.
“Book a hotel room, Dean” Devian said.
He took her to the hotel and put her on the bed. He had just turned around to leave when he heard her, “Please stay with me for a while okay?” She held his arm.
Looking at her hand Devian sat there for a while. After confirming that she’s asleep he withdrew his hand.
“Dean” Devian called walking out of the hotel. “Send someone to take care of her. I’ll come over tomorrow and take her to the mansion.”
“Master, what about Mrs Lyle?” Dean asked.
“Just do as I say. Don’t tell her anything” Devian sighed.
He never felt so helpless. Today he felt as if he was doing something he shouldn’t.
“Okay director” Dean replied.
Just as he was walking out his phone rang.
“Where are you two, haven’t reached home yet?” Old Mr Lyle spoke.
“In the hotel. She got drunk” Devian was not in a mood to entertain him right now. After he spoke he hung the phone.
“Brat! He hung up on my face!” Old Mr Lyle spoke in an agitated voice throwing the phone aside.
“At least young master is with Miss Susan Hayes” the assistant beside old Mr Lyle spoke to console his anger.
“Hope it goes right.” Old Mr Lyle could only expect that everything goes as he planned.

Devian was calling Arien for the third time but she didn’t pick it up.
He wished that he could at least go back to her and punish her for not picking up his call.
Just at the thought of Arien a smile crept over his cold face leaving Dean, who was beside him, completely stunned.
“Ugh ugh” Dean coughed a little to bring his director back to reality.
Dean was already asking him if he’d like to stay here or go back to Loveland but his director was already lost in his thoughts.
This was the first time Dean experienced his director being so deep in his thoughts so he didn’t know how to get back his director’s attention so he tried this method.
“Director, would you stay here or go back?” Dean repeated it for the fourth time.
“I’ll stay here. Book another room beside her” he replied.
Dean did as he was asked. It has been three years from the incident but Devian still thinks about it.
Devian stayed at one of the rooms beside Susan’s. He was tired but still tried another time calling Arien.
This time the call was connected and he heard her faint voice, ”Devian, are you back?”
She was waiting for him for the whole time to have dinner together and fell asleep and that was why she didn’t picked up the calls from him.
“I won’t be back tonight.” He said.
After a long time he didn’t hear any reply but only steady breathing which meant she was asleep.

Next day Arien got up only to find that he didn’t come home for the whole night. She could help thinking about what was so important for him that he rushed out?
She even didn’t had her dinner waiting for him. Even now he wasn’t back but seeing that he took the initiative to call her was enough to make her happy.
She even noticed that she picked up his call in sleep and maybe she wasn’t replying yet he haven’t hung up.
“You’re up?” She heard from the phone.
“How do you know I was awake?” She asked.
“I’ll have lunch with you, okay?” Devian felt guilty for what he was doing.
“Okay” she smiled. After that they hung the phone.
After getting ready she left for the company. She didn’t see him until afternoon when Devian called her to have meal together.
She went there not only because she wanted to have meal with him but also to ask where he was all night.
Just as she had entered the evening restaurant Dean came over to her. “Mrs Lyle, Director went out for something and asked you to wait in the room.”
“Oh… Okay” Arien smiled but it felt bitter. “Assistant Dean, you’re his special assistant. You must know where he was yesterday night and can I know where he has gone?” She asked.
“Mm…” Dean didn’t know how to answer this. Devian has asked her not to tell anything about Miss Susan Hayes. How is he supposed to turn her down? What should he answer now? “I don’t know, Mrs Lyle, director just told me that he’s out for business. Yesterday night as well he had an important meeting.”
Arien just sighed in her heart and let him do his business. After all he had taken a good care of her. She should not disturb him or distract him now.
She quietly walked to the private room of the hotel and waited. Soon the dishes were served. But she wasn’t in the mood to eat alone.
She had only eaten a little since yesterday night because he wasn’t home. Now that he himself called her to eat together she would wait for him rather than eating alone.
“Mrs Lyle” Dean came into the room “You can have your food, director would take some time before coming back he has some important business to deal with.”
“I would wait a little longer.” Arien said.
“But… He has asked me to tell you that he would be back a little late, and you should eat.” Dean said.

Devian initially wanted to go back home as soon as possible after dropping off Susan to Lyle Mansion but on the way to the mansion he got a call from old Mr Lyle who asked him to take Susan to the Old Ace mansion. He still wanted to just send her and go back but Susan insisted him on staying for a little longer.
He came to the company in the morning from the Lyle Mansion attending old Mr Lyle first. He insisted that Devian should stay with Susan because she hasn’t been to California and doesn’t know anything about here. But Devian straightforwardly turned him down.
He had his wife now and he would consider her first. Or he would consider only her wife.
After that when he called Arien for having meal together he received a call from old Ace mansion. A servant who was appointed to take care of Susan informed that Susan was feeling uneasy and passed out hence he had to rush to the mansion to take Susan to the hospital.
Arien had no idea about the relationship between Devian and Susan and she might overthinking this matter hence they didn’t told her about Susan’s arrival in California.
Devian wanted a correct time to give her a good explanation about everything he was doing right now.
This was the first time he felt so helpless. He wanted to tell Arien the truth yet he wasn’t able to. What if she would misunderstand. What if everything between them becomes a mess.
Devian didn’t want this to happen so he kept it from her for now.
