“I’ll help you cook” Devian said walking to the kitchen.
Arien knew that she won’t be able to do her work properly if he was around so she asked him to do his work while she would cook.
Devian also didn’t speak anymore and walked into the study. He received a call just as he came to the study.
“You need to pick her up from the airport.” Old master Lyle’s voice came from the receiver.
“I’ll sent someone to pick her up.” Devian turned down old Mr Lyle without a second thought.
“Remember what you caused three years back. Don’t intend to repeat the same thing” old Mr Lyle spoke in a warning tone.
Devian frowned and answered in a chilling cold tone, “I’ll pick her up and drop her there. Don’t expect me to accompany her after that.”
“Her flight must land in half an hour. Go to the airport.” Old Mr Lyle hung the phone after speaking and didn’t let Devian speak anything else.
Arien was cooking when Devian came into the kitchen.
“Arien, I’ll have to leave for something urgent.” He said.
Arien lifted her head, “Is it so important, have dinner before you leave.”
“No I’ve to go right now. Just have your meal and wait for me at home okay” he spoke.
“Okay” Arien nodded and smiled at him.
Devian walked out in a hurry.
“What’s so urgent?” Arien thought while cooking.

It took nearly 20 minutes to reach to the airport.
“Director, shall I go to bring Miss Hayes?” Dean asked.
“I’ll go as well” Devian said coldly.
Dean walked out and opened the door for him then they walked into the airport, Devian followed by Dean.
After waiting for some time a lady came to them, “Oh Leo, I didn’t expect you to come over to pick me”
“Miss Hayes, I will drop you to the house” Devian spoke calmly with no expressions and then walked away.
“Miss please” Dean made a gesture asking her to walk. Susan followed him
“I’m hungry, shall we eat.” Susan spoke.
“I’ll take you to the mansion you can have food.” Devian denied her.
But she held her stomach and spoke again, “I’m really hungry Leo. We haven’t had meal together since long. Just a meal Leo?”
“Okay” Devian said.
They went to a nearby hotel and Susan ordered the dishes. Seeing Devian not ordering anything Susan thought to order some dishes for him. “What would you like to eat?” She asked.
“You eat, I’m not hungry” Devian said.
He had Arien waiting for him at home. He just wanted to drop her and go back to Arien as fast as possible.
Susan was still maintaining her composure which was becoming hard to control now. “Leo…”
“I said you eat. I won’t” this time Devian’s chilling voice was like a thunder. Susan didn’t speak any further and just ate.
After eating she ordered some wine.
Seeing her ordering wine Devian interrupted, “it is not good for you to have wine”
“Oh Devian you care so much about me” Susan leaned on his shoulder.
Soon after, she was pushed away by him. “Watch yourself and don’t get drunk.” Saying that Devian got up.
“Are you leaving me here?” Susan said in a seductive voice.
“I’ve to make an urgent call” Devian said. “Dean watch over” he added while walking out.
He just wanted to stay away from this woman!
After about 10 minutes Dean rushed to him, “director, Miss Hayes…”

Arien sat there in the couch waiting for him. She didn’t want to eat alone so she decided to wait for some time to have dinner together with him.
She waited for a long time and only got up when the phone in her room rang. “Hello.”
“Hey Arien” it was Jane.
“What’s the matter Jane?” Arien asked.
“I just wanted to ask you something Arien….” Jane said but she was hesitant to say anything else.
“Go on. Is something bothering you?”Arien asked.
“I…. Arien what would you do if your man leaves the house in a hurry and doesn’t come back for the whole night?” Jane didn’t mention any name but Arien could guess who she was talking, definitely it was about Walter Mason.
“Oh… That must be some urgent work” Arien tried to say nice words for Walter so that there would not be any misunderstandings. “Why not asking him directly?”
“I’ve asked about this but every time he says that I don’t have to worry about anything.” Jane spoke. Her voice seemed as if she would cry anytime. “He has been doing it for three days.
“Mmm… Then let’s find out” Arien spoke.
“Find out but … How?” Jane was confused. What was going on in this girl’s mind?.
“By just following him. If he does the same next day, I’ll accompany you to follow him secretly. And if he’s betraying you I’ll crush him to death.” Arien said.
“Silly. Okay. I’ll call you if this happens again” Jane agreed because she was eager as well to know about where Walter goes every night.
“Yes.” Arien nodded. Although Jane couldn’t see her she could predict how childish Arien could be sometime. “By the way Jane, when did you both move together?”
“Umm… It’s a long story, I’ll tell you some other day.” Jane changed the topic.”What about you? What were you doing?” Jane asked.
“I was just going to have dinner but Devian went out for some business. I’ll eat after he’s back” Arien didn’t hide anything form her friends so she told the truth.
“Ohh… You both are really lovey-dovey!” Jane said.
Although Devian cared a lot for her, respected her and she, as well liked him, they doesn’t have love in their relationship, right?
“It’s nothing like what is going on in your little brain, silly!” Arien made a face.
“Oh really! I don’t believe you!” Jane laughed.
“Whatever!” Arien couldn’t help smiling. “Why am I smiling like an idiot!” She thought.
“Tell me tell me, how’s it between you two?” Jane asked curiously.
“Sleep early. Call me whenever you need” Arien said and hung the phone without giving Jane another chance to say anything.
They hung the phone. She thought of calling Devian, but the way he left the house in a hurry he must be into something urgent. Just at the thought of him being busy she left the idea of calling him.
“Hmph! Mr Lyle are you so busy? Can’t even call me?” She sighed in her heart.
