Chapter 97: Lift Your Head

Book:Fallen Heir Rising Published:2024-6-5

Rebecca was not an ordinary woman, and wouldn’t be intimidated by Quentin.
If Quentin were one of those wealthy elites, scions of influential families, or children of the privileged class, she wouldn’t dare speak this way.
She despised people who couldn’t see reality clearly. She believed she had been polite enough to both of them, but Quentin was pushing his luck and didn’t know his place!
Quentin dialed a number and calmly said, “I’m at Sloburg Kindergarten, come over.”
After speaking, he hung up the phone directly.
“Oh, Mr. Holland, who are you calling with such an attitude?” Rebecca let out a sneer.
“You’ll find out soon enough,” Quentin replied calmly, lowering his gaze and ignoring her.
“Well then! I’m curious to see if Mr. Holland has the capability to bring someone here and scare me.” Rebecca had a playful expression. “I, at least, have seen the world. It’s not so easy to fool me.”
Quentin smiled but remained silent.
Seeing Quentin’s mysterious smile, Rebecca became even more infuriated. She wanted to see what qualifications this guy had to show off in front of her!
“You have only ten minutes. Once the ten minutes are up, I will kick you out of here,” Rebecca threatened.
“Miss Chan, I’m sorry…” Charlotte quickly stood up and apologized to her. “He has a bit of a temper…”
“Is an apology useful?”
“How much do you think your apology is worth?” Rebecca was aggressive.
Charlotte was at a loss for words, feeling anxious and uneasy. It seemed that a conflict had developed between the two of them, and she feared that Rebecca would make life difficult for their two children in the future.
If, by any chance, the two children were really mistreated at school, it was a situation Charlotte didn’t want to see.
She couldn’t help but look at Quentin with a hint of anger.
Meanwhile, Quentin remained calm, sitting there without a trace of panic on his face.
The atmosphere became strangely quiet.
Ten minutes later, Rebecca smiled coldly, stood up, glanced at her Audemars Piguet watch, and calmly said, “Mr. Holland, the ten minutes are up. I ask you to leave immediately!”
“I don’t have so much time to waste with you here!”
“And… since you are so dissatisfied with our school’s system, I’m afraid your children will have a hard time fitting into the community here. Don’t come to us with any complaints in the future.”
“That’s your own problem.” Her tone was indifferent.
Quentin’s eyes narrowed slightly in response. This statement was clearly meant as a threat! In other words, she intended to make things difficult for their two children?
How could she be so petty to transfer her anger onto two innocent children?
With someone like her, how could there be a benign development of education?
“Are you threatening me?” Quentin asked.
“Not at all,” Rebecca sneered coldly. “I just want Mr. Holland to… face the reality! Do you understand?”
“Sloburg Kindergarten is, in essence, a backyard for the privileged children of Stresall. Unfortunately, your children are not one of them. Is that clear enough?”
Rebecca’s tone was icy. The Holland couple disappeared; The Holland family was swallowed whole by the powerful families, and nothing was left of the Holland family except Quentin barely surviving. Would the top four richest families let him off? Would they give him a chance to turn things around?
What a ridiculous joke!
Upon hearing this, Quentin simply smiled indifferently. “It is not for you to judge. Who do you think you are?”
“You…!” Rebecca grew increasingly furious, glaring at Quentin as she shouted, “I’m sorry! I do have the authority to judge! At least, in this school, what I say goes!”
“Is that so? What a great display of power!”
A cold sneer came from outside the door, followed by a firm step. A middle-aged man entered the office with his hands behind his back.
His gaze was fixed on Rebecca, revealing a hint of anger.
“Mr… Rogers?” Rebecca was suddenly startled, immediately bowing ninety degrees. “Hello, Mr. Rogers!”
Raphael was the owner of Sloburg Kindergarten.
At the same time, he was one of the top-ranking business tycoons in the entire Stresall. How could she, a lowly underling, dare to act presumptuously in front of him?
Raphael’s face turned cold, and he walked over with big strides, raising his voice, “Lift your head!”
“Mr. Rogers, you…”
Before she could finish her sentence, two resounding slaps struck her face, leaving her dazed on the spot.
