Raphael’s face carried an imposing aura, his eyes filled with killing intent. “You scoundrel, how dare you speak like that just now?”
Rebecca was dumbfounded. How did the boss suddenly appear here?
She was caught off guard.
“Mr. Rogers, this is clearly the purpose of our school!” Rebecca felt wronged. Wasn’t it the default rule at Sloburg Kindergarten? Did she say something wrong?
“Do you still dare to argue?” Raphael was furious and slapped her again with the back of his hand. “Who gave you the authority to do this? Apologize to Mr. Holland immediately!”
Rebecca felt bitter and resentful.
Her boss actually asked her to apologize to this worthless stray dog?
She found it hard to accept.
But how could she dare to refute the boss’s words? “I’m sorry, Mr. Holland.”
Although she apologized verbally, her eyes held a hint of unwillingness and resentment.
Quentin smirked, aware that Rebecca held grudges against him.
“Mr. Rogers, it seems Miss Chan is still a little dissatisfied, but it doesn’t matter.” Quentin’s tone changed as he casually said, “I called you here today to discuss some issues.”
As soon as Raphael heard this, his heart sank. It seemed that the situation was not good.
Quentin said he wanted to discuss some issues, but in reality, he wanted to give him a bit of a thrashing.
Cold sweat formed on Raphael’s forehead.
Although he had some money, compared to these big shots who could decide others’ fate, he was nothing.
“Please, Mr. Holland, tell me your instructions!” Raphael’s attitude became respectful as he bent over.
Rebecca was momentarily stunned. Why was her boss being so respectful to this waste? Could it be because he was intimidated by Quentin’s identity as the Holland family’s young master?
Charlotte also found it unbelievable. This was Raphael! In the entire Stresall, he was a prominent figure!
And yet, he showed such deference to Quentin?
Quentin smiled faintly. “Mr. Rogers, although you opened this school, perhaps your original intention was to accumulate connections to help your business thrive.”
“However…”
“I don’t want a place that should be dedicated to education to be filled with the stench of money and fame. I especially don’t want these things to be imposed on these children. Do you understand what I mean?”
“I don’t want my children to grow up in such an environment.”
Quentin’s gaze was intense.
“Yes, yes, yes!” Raphael’s face was covered in cold sweat. “I will make immediate changes!”
Quentin was expressing his dissatisfaction and giving a warning.
Raphael, a businessman in the commercial world, understood this well.
“Thank you for understanding, Mr. Rogers.”
Quentin stood up. “In that case, my wife and I will leave.”
“I’ll see you off!”
“No need!”
As Raphael watched Quentin leave, he secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Finally, he’s gone!
The presence and authority inadvertently emanated by Quentin earlier had put immense pressure on him.
“Boss, why are you afraid of that guy? Does he really think he’s something special? Pretending to give you advice, it’s ridiculous…” Rebecca grumbled discontentedly.
Raphael stared at her angrily. “You fool! You almost got me killed this time! Do you know who he is? Do you dare to offend him?”
“I…” Rebecca’s heart trembled. “Who can he be? Just a bankrupt and down-and-out young master from the Holland family, right?”
Raphael couldn’t be bothered to explain. “He is someone you can never afford to provoke.”
“Don’t come to work tomorrow. Get lost, and I don’t want to see you again!”
Rebecca, a foolish woman who had been in society for so many years without an ounce of brains, had offended Quentin. What was the point of keeping her?
Rebecca immediately burst into tears. “Mr. Rogers, all these years I…”
Raphael’s face turned cold. “If you don’t leave, I’ll have the security kick you out!”
In an instant, Rebecca’s face turned pale. She lost her job…
