Slade Donovan POV
A great discomfort was all I felt with the mindless vampires around me. My father, the king invited all the guests into his throne room to discuss the blood moon and the queen’s upcoming birthday. Ever since the discussion started, I had shifted on my seat a thousand times, tired of listening to him.
We all sat on a round table with wooden chairs and on each table where a glass filled with blood and straw. Quite a fancy meeting right? The King likes to make an impression.
“The Queen’s birthday is in two days while the blood moon is only two weeks away!” He announced causing an uproar amongst the Vampires. They all clapped and cheered for the king. “Yes. After the Blood moon, the humans are going to be reduced to nothing.” Another announcement that made the vampires go wild but to me, it’s was sad that they could think of reducing the humans to nothing. In the past, I didn’t care about the humans but Gabriella made me pity them.
My mother who was seated beside my father didn’t look too happy. She frowned at every announcement he made. ” my son’s wedding is also coming along with the Blood moon.”
Wait, what wedding? There was no way I would get married to Luciana. I already told Gabriella I’ll reject the marriage proposal but I couldn’t do it in a large hall filled with vampires. My Father’s important guest.
“Father!” I called. I heaved a deep sigh with my eyes closed and when I opened them, all eyes were all on me.
“What do you have to say, Crown Prince?” My father questioned.
“Why should we attack the humans when they are already beneath us?” I bite my lips as the wrong words come out. That’s wasn’t what I had in mind.
“How do you mean crown prince?” Zepeda questioned.
“The truth.” I simply replied.
“What are you saying?” My father said through gritted teeth. “The blood moon is our chance to go after those Humans that had gone rogue. We need to make this world completely ours.”
“Killing the humans won’t solve anything!” I shouted. I didn’t know why I did that but the memories of my vision came rushing into my head. If the war could be stopped then it’s will prevent me from killing Gabriella just like in the dream.
“You fool!” The king slammed his hand on the table and stood up from his chair. “How dare you try to side the humans? You are a vampire prince!” He yelled.
The vampires all looked at me and began to murmur amongst themselves. “My king,” My mother’s voice sounded so angelic that’s it could melt anyone’s anger including my Father’s. “The prince has a point.” The Queen added.
“What?” The king glared at her. “What are you saying, My queen?”
“Why should we go after the humans when they are already ours? We own the world and the humans are nothing but our food and slaves.” The queen’s declaration made all the vampires nod their heads in agreement. “The blood moon should be a night of fun not a night of killing the humans and since it’s the prince’s wedding, it’s would be better if we made the day sacred.” She added.
“I agree with the queen,” One of the lords said and the rest of the lords all agreed with him.
“Very well then,” the king nodded in agreement. “The prince wedding would be made sacred.”
What wedding? No way.
“I think you are missing something here. I am not going to get married to Luciana!” I announced and the hall grew silent. They all looked at each other’s faces and then turned to look at me. “I can’t get married on the blood moon.”
“Prince Slade!” This time, it’s was my mother who shouted. She stood up and walked to where I sat. “What do you mean by that?”
“Exactly what you heard mother,” I replied. A deafening slap landed on my face causing my head to turn sideways. I thought it’s was my mother but it’s turned out my father beat her to it. “Really?” I spat out blood from my mouth and wiped my mouth. “There is no way you’ll change my mind father!” I yelled.
“Oh really?” He grabbed the collar of my shirt and dragged me out of the hall. With his super speed, we appeared inside his office. The first thing he did while we were alone was kicked me in the stomach. “How dare you embarrass me in front of everyone?” He kicked me again but I didn’t budge.
“If this is about your slave then I am going to kill her!” He declared.
“Kill?” I chuckled and moved closer to my father. I grabbed his throat unnoticed and pinned him to his desk. My father’s eyes widened because I had never overpowered him before but ever since I became a werewolf, I became more powerful. Powerful enough to fight the vampire king. “You touch my mate, you die,” My voice came out powerful except that it wasn’t my voice. It was strong and exceptional.
“Your… Eyes are golden. You are a wolf.” The king struggled against my hold but I was too pissed to let go. He shouldn’t have mentioned Gabriella because she was mine and mine alone.
“I take my word back! I am not going to kill her!” The king hit my hand as he struggled to breathe under my hold.
“Good. ” I released my hold on his throat. “You threaten me with Gabriella again and I’ll kill you in the worst way.” I threatened and walked out of his office going to the only place I knew would calm me. In a rush, I was in front of Gabriella’s Room. I placed it on the doorknob and when I turned it, I heard her talking to someone.
“It’s a crazy dream but it’s real. The world is going to end Teale.”
She was in the room with Teale and they were talking about her dreams. something I thought she only shared with me. “I can’t live without Slade or you and all the people that I love.” She cried out.
I felt the urge to enter the room and console her but I knew Teale would do a better job than me. “I don’t want the world to end. I don’t….”
“Everything would be fine,” Teale assured her.
I detached my hand from the doorknob and quietly walked away from her room and headed outside the Castle. “What’s happening?” I yelled to no one in particular. I walked to the large tree in the castle grounds and sat under it.
Why does everything have to be so
Tight? I wished I could stop the blood moon, save everyone, and make sure Gabriella was safe but I couldn’t do that when we have limited time.
“I knew you’ll be here.” I heard Teale say behind me. He took a seat beside me and looked at me. ” Gabriella told me about her dreams. ”
“Yeah. I know.”
“How?” He eyed me suspiciously. “Were you spying on us?”
I shook my head in response. “I had a little misunderstanding with my father. After I left his office, I needed a place I could relax so I came to her room but then I heard you two talking about her dreams. ”
“Your dreams seem the same” He was right. It’s was about the future.
“What do you mean by that?”
“Hmmm,” Teale drew closer to me and laid his head on the tree. “It means it’s might come to pass. ”
That’s what I was afraid of. I couldn’t imagine killing Gabriella with my hand. “What should we do?”
“The future will decide Slade,” was all he said.
The future means our ruins. I heaved a deep sigh and thought of the blankless future.

Gabriella Monet POV
It’s was happening again. The dreams were becoming a daily routine in my life. Anytime I closed my eyes, it’s always about the future and its ruins.
“Father, Father ” I saw a little boy running towards someone. That’s someone turned out to be Teale. He looked older with his beards. The little boy had golden locks and purple eyes. He was the spitting image of Teale and running behind the boy was a girl who looked just like Slade. The resemblance was uncanny from her eyes to her face that was just like Slade’s.
“Uncle Teale!” The girl ran into Teale’s arm.
“Hey, baby girl!” Teale lifted the little girl into her arms and placed a kiss on her forehead. “You look, beautiful princess.”
“Father! What’s about me?” The little boy who looked like Teale pouted and stomped his foot on the ground.
Teale lifted him with his other arm and kissed him on his forehead. “I love you, my son.” He smiled at the boy.
They all burst into laughter and went inside the castle. The castle looked the same but was modern and newly built. They all walked into the dining hall where I could see Daphne and kyle seated. I couldn’t see Slade and Myself anywhere. When they started eating, I expected Slade and me to join them but we were nowhere in sight. They were all having fun without us.
“Gabriella!” Someone called my name. “Gabby! It’s a dream. Wake up!” I heard Slade yelling my name.
I woke up to reality and burst into uncontrollable tears. “The dreams came again.”
“Hush, it’s going to be fine.” He wiped the tears that were spilling nonstop from my eyes. “It’s will be okay.”
“I saw our future Slade,” I told him. “We have a daughter. A beautiful daughter and she looks a lot like you.”
Slade looked at me and smiled. “Our future is going to be great gabby. ”
“You don’t understand!” I shouted at him. I know I shouldn’t have done that but I was sad for my future. “We were not there. I saw Daphne, Kyle, and Teale. They were all having fun without us. We were not in the future Slade.” I sniffled and burst into tears. “We were not there,” Slade pulled me into his arms but I struggled against him.
“It’s just a dream, Gabriella. Out future should not be placed on a dream.” He said to me but I didn’t believe him. If the dreams keep occurring then it only means one thing, The danger Bianca warned me about was real.
And it’s was coming.
