After Allyce had eaten, she sat in the living room and watched TV with Alonzo.
Only it was Alonzo who was seriously watching TV, while she kept looking at the time.
It was eight o’clock, Alonzo’s bedtime, and Severo had not returned.
Allyce frowned slightly and couldn’t help but speculate in her mind.
Was Severo angry about what had happened before, had he not come back on purpose, or was he working overtime?
But even if he was going to be late or not come back, he should have called, right?
She had always known that Severo had a small heart, but this situation made her feel a little depressed.
She scratched her hair a little irritated and took Alonzo upstairs to put him to bed.
By the time Alonzo fell asleep, half an hour had passed.
She re-entered the room and sent the servants to rest, leaving her alone in the hall to await Severo’s return.
By nine o’clock, her anxiety had finally overcome her stubbornness and she couldn’t resist taking out her mobile phone and dialling Severo.
The phone rang several times, but there was no answer.
Allyce unconsciously picked at her nails as the seconds ticked by, and just as the phone was about to hang up because there was no answer, the call was finally picked up.
“Ma’am?”
To Allyce’s surprise, it was Xabat’s voice on the other end of the line.
“Xabat, how come you’re the one answering the phone, where’s Severo?” Allyce asked him aloud, surprised.
Severo could really be working late, couldn’t he? Lately he came home early and basically didn’t work late, even if there was no business finished that required him to work late, he would bring it home.
He was spending more and more time at home.
“The boss has an engagement at Kimdis and is in the box at the moment, his phone was left in the office when he came in earlier.” explained Xabat and Allyce, with a hint of caution in their voices, as if they feared Allyce knew something.
Allyce picked up on something unusual in Xabat’s tone and asked: “Have you been drinking?
Xabat said vaguely: “Just a simple social gathering, not many people …”.
Just by hearing this tone in Xabat’s voice, Allyce knew that Severo must have been drinking.
“Understood.” Allyce said and hung up the phone.
On the other end, after Xabat hung up the phone, he looked at his boss who was sitting quietly to one side with a puzzled look on his face. “Madam, you have hung up the phone.
Severo waved his hand: “Well, it’s all right for you, go away”.
Xabat gave Severo a sidelong glance, wanting to ask but not daring to do so.
What was the boss doing here?
When Severus saw that Xabat had not yet left, he spoke with discontent: “Why don’t you go now? He’s coming to pick me up later, so go.
After saying that, he waved his hand again in disgust.
Xabat was a little speechless.
The boss had come to Kimdis as soon as he got off work, without doing anything, staying in the office.
It had seemed strange to him at the time and he waited for Severo to put him on the phone with Allyce to vaguely understand what was going on.
On the one hand, he thought his boss was shrewd, but on the other hand, it seemed to him that it was not really advisable for his boss to do that, although it might make for a couple’s fling after a fight, but cheating was never good.
Severo was only pretending to get Allyce to come to him, but in reality he was lying to her.
Xabat could tell from Allyce’s tone of voice that she was in a hurry.
Xabat thought about it and said one more thing: “Boss, from the tone of the woman’s voice, she’s worried about you.
Severo looked at him and gave him a look that said: “Don’t you have to tell me? He gave him a look that said: “Don’t you have to tell me?
Xabat saw this and went out.
Severo waited for Xabat to leave and picked up the white wine he had set aside.
The white wine was of high alcohol content, and as soon as the cap was unscrewed, the smell spread through the room.
He poured himself some, frowned and wiped a little on his food, took another sip and, satisfied that it smelled of wine, hid it.

Allyce, on the other hand, hung up the phone and couldn’t sit still.
The two were arguing, but where could Severo’s stomach drink?
Although the K1LU73 virus in her body was no longer visible, her stomach problems had always been a big problem and for so long she had been taking care of it, fearing that her stomach would rupture again.
After all, Victorino had already said that Severo’s stomach couldn’t take any more trouble.
Allyce was so angry and anxious that she instructed the housekeeper on duty and headed for the garage with the car keys.
When he arrived at Kimdis, he went straight to Severo’s exclusive box, which he found empty.
He casually called out to a passing waiter: “Where’s your boss? Where’s he gone?”
“Boss?” The passing press porter froze for a moment and said with a puzzled look on his face, “I don’t see the boss …”
“I see, thank you, go and get to work”.
Allyce let go of the clerk, with so many people coming in and out of Kimdis, it was natural that no one would notice whether Severo was coming or not.
He had to call Xabat: “Xabat, where is Severo now? He’s not in the box, has he run out of food?
Xabat was on his way to one of the boxes to take care of something urgent and couldn’t be bothered to say much: “Yes, it’s finished, the boss is resting in the office lounge, I have some business here, I have to go”.
Hearing that Xabat looked a bit rushed, Allyce said goodbye and hung up the phone.
All the way to the office, Allyce mentally told herself not to get too angry, if she hadn’t said those things to Severo when she parted from him at the restaurant at lunchtime, there would have been no way he would have been drinking at dinner.
This man looks boisterous on the outside, but deep down he is nothing more than the temperament of a child.

The first time he arrived at Severo’s office, he pushed open the door and smelled the odour of alcohol inside.
You had to drink a lot to get such a strong smell of alcohol.
Allyce frowned fiercely and hurried inside, just in time to see Severo sitting in his boss’s chair behind his desk.
His face was slightly flushed and he was leaning back in his chair with his eyes slightly closed, his black shirt unbuttoned three times, revealing a little too much, and his cuffs rolled up to expose his small, strong arms.
The whole man seemed a bit relaxed and a bit tired, and, well, from the looks of him, not much tougher.
He paused in place for a moment and was about to lift his foot to approach when the man, who had his eyes slightly closed, opened them.
There was a moment of emptiness in his eyes before they gradually came into focus as he dropped his eyes back to Allyce.
