“Is that so?” Allyce raised her eyes to Severo, “Where do you see that?”.
Where did she and Tajo get along? Before, in the office, they had only come close to tearing each other apart.
As it was now, they maintained only a superficial calm.
Tajo didn’t want to tear her apart, so she was content to keep the peace and call him “grandfather”.
Severo merely smiled at her words and said nothing more, except that there was a hint of understanding in his expression.

Allyce looked at him for a few seconds before slowly getting up.

Severo’s steps faltered and his handsome eyebrows furrowed slightly as he turned his head to look at her: “What?
Allyce did the same and came down, tilting her head to look at him without any extra emotion in her eyes as she whispered, “I remember we had a fight just this morning and that matter has not been resolved as of yet, so please let go of my hand.”
He finished and gave a symbolic shake to the hand he was holding.
The palm of his hand was warm and dry, with a thin layer of calluses, and the fact that he was holding it gave him a very familiar sense of reassurance.
However, she had not forgotten that in the morning, at home, he had simply thrown up his hands and left before they could finish their words because of the maid.
It wasn’t a good habit, and she couldn’t stop his habit from growing.

Allyce grabbed Alonzo and left before his anger could explode.
Severo’s hands hung unconsciously by his side, was this woman arguing with him over a servant?

With that, he hung up the phone with a sombre look on his face.

Allyce returned to the office, thought about it and decided that it was really a trifle.
It seemed a bit petty to get into trouble with Severo over this.
Severo was a softy, and the more she acted like that, the angrier he would get.
But he was the one being unreasonable, so why does Allyce always apologise?
He had always been the same, and she could not expect him to change.
Allyce spent the afternoon distracted in the office and took Alonzo home as soon as it was time to leave.
She thought that when she got home, she and Severo would speak to him in a soft voice and he would listen to her.

Although Allyce’s face was smeared with saliva from Alonzo’s kiss, her heart softened and she felt very satisfied.

Alonzo, who was preoccupied with playing with his ducklings, of course ignored her.
Allyce didn’t care whether she listened or not and continued, “When daddy comes home later, how about you go hug his lap and give him a kiss?
