After a brief moment of silence, Severo took the floor and asked: “What brings you here?
His voice was a little hoarse, no emotion could be heard, and his eyes looked straight at her, as if he was a little surprised by her sudden appearance.
Allyce wondered: “Have you been drinking?
Severo heard the concern implicit in her tone and twisted his words: “I’ve only had a little to drink, not much.
Allyce looked at him again and saw that he was fine, except for a slight blush, so she was convinced that his “just a little” might be just a little.
Her heart relaxed slightly and she couldn’t help but say angrily, “No alcohol, no matter who advises you, no matter what the circumstances, I’ve said it before!”
“Hmm.
Severus replied indifferently, his dark eyes fixed on her, with a glint in them that made the answer feel both serious and shallow.
Allyce was on edge the whole way as she remembered how she had looked the last time she had a stomach attack.
She was so worried about her life, but now he responded lightly with the word “hmm”, and her anger grew.
Allyce couldn’t help pursing her lips and said, “Next time, you’ll see if I still care.
Severo had just regretted that he probably shouldn’t have lied to him.
Sometimes she had a temper, but she was very soft-hearted, and all I had to do was speak kindly to her and she would stop being angry.
For the first time he felt he had complicated something very simple.
Not only had he forced himself to sit for hours in the office, but he had also made Allyce come running home worried.
With that in mind, Severo slowly stood up and approached Allyce, reaching out and wrapping his arm around her shoulders, “There won’t be a next time, it’s my fault, let’s go home”.
Allyce was a little surprised by Severo’s sudden change of heart, but when she heard him admit that he had been wrong, the anger she had felt disappeared.
“Good to know.” Allyce grunted softly before removing his hand from her shoulder and leading him outside.
She had left the house in a hurry, dressed casually in a sports outfit, with flat shoes on her feet and her hair in a ponytail, as she had already showered and it was impossible to apply make-up in the evening.
It was hard to believe that she was the mother of a two-year-old child.
Severo’s gaze wandered from the top of her hair, to her shoes and finally to the hand she was holding as she walked out.
She was much shorter than him, so when she walked, her steps were small, and he followed her, walking extremely slowly, matching her steps, his eyes fixed on her the whole time.
Sometimes it seemed incredible to him that he had seen her when he was very young, and that he had known her for more than ten years.
He had only been taken by his mother then, out of complete curiosity, to see her.
At the time she didn’t think there was anything special about her, just a very ordinary, normal child.
He was precocious as a child and quiet at an early age, not for lack of parental love or for any other reason, but simply because of his nature. The good thing is that his mother was a very good-natured person and although he was not as cute as a normal child, she loved him very much.
He was always excited to share everything with him, and his mother was even more lively than he was as a child.
To say that Allyce did not seem special to him at the time is not entirely true.
There was something special about her, or I would not have followed her news after having travelled tens of thousands of metres across the ocean from her.
He had spent most of the first half of his life trying to find out who had killed his mother and to build himself up.
He had known from the beginning that Allyce knew nothing about his mother, and she was so young that she probably didn’t know any more than he did.
It was probably some kind of attraction in the dark that made him come to her …
The fact that he wanted to find out something about his mother did not necessarily mean that he had to approach her in that way.
But he, who had always been a puritan, could not control himself that night.
Perhaps it was all meant to be.
“What’s the matter, is something wrong?”
Allyce’s voice brought Severo’s thoughts back to Severo.
Severo came to his senses.
His gaze was unusually soft because he was still immersed in the past, and those pool-deep eyes were loving enough to drown in.
Allyce didn’t know what she was thinking, but when he looked at her with such a gaze, her face began to heat up uncontrollably.
He pursed his lips and asked again: “Say something, is something wrong?
He walked so slowly that it was hard for her to pull him along, so it must be wrong again.
Seeing her eager face, Severo couldn’t help but lean in and take her face in a deep kiss.
The two were still in the corridor, with other customers coming and going as well as Kimdis staff.
They had come this far, and they were already in the spotlight, but now Severo was kissing her right here.
Allyce’s skin was thinner than his and she pushed against him with a secret strength.
Severus parted his lips slightly, his strong arms wrapped tightly around her, his breathing a little labored.
After kissing Allyce’s ear sideways, he leaned in to whisper a threat: “You’d better behave and let me kiss you long enough or I’ll take you straight to your room right now.”
“You …” Allyce said hatefully, only to be grabbed by Severo’s lips again.
Allyce knew Severo was a man of his word, and though she was a little reluctant to kiss in public, she couldn’t resist him, so she just clasped his hands nervously and let Severo embrace her in a deep kiss.
Although the sentence “The CEO of LK Group and his wife kissed in public” is more acceptable than “The CEO of LK Group and his wife went into a room in a hurry”, I suppose.
“Ahem… …”
Allyce couldn’t resist nudging Severo again until a dry cough sounded.
Severus couldn’t resist kissing her, but it was only a matter of emotion, and now that it had passed, knowing that Allyce had very thin skin, he didn’t want to embarrass her any further.
He just didn’t take kindly to the person who had tried to interrupt him.
He raised his head, pulled the shy Allyce behind him and turned his head towards where the noise had come from.
After seeing who was standing a few steps away, Severo couldn’t help but squint.
“Mr Betances,” said Marco with an impeccably polite smile on his face.
