Chapter 72: Epilogue
“Wow, the beauty still falls in love with the beast?” Little Laire amusingly said after her father finished reading the story.
“Dad had read that story for a millionth time,” Laike the other little girl boringly whined and pouted.
“Like, it’s the love story of our parents.” She exclaimed and Nick cringed his forehead.
“Dad isn’t a beast, that’s not true.” Laike pushed her which made Nick nod and agreed with her daughter.
“Mom is, it was just a little twisted.” Laire and Nick’s eyes widen and turned to his wife who was busy cooking for dinner.
“Did I hear that right, Laire!”
“I would very much happy to be excluded from this narrative,” Laike said and jumped down the chair.
“Shut up, you’re not Taylor.” Nick only crossed his arms looking at his children.
“Well, at least I’m gorgeous as her,” Laike said and placed her palm on her hip.
“Well, we’re twin, what a shame.” Laire rolled her eyes with her twin’s nonsense remark.
“You copied my face when we were little,” Laike said while Nick eyed Fair a smile and took a huge breath as he watched his girls arguing, chaotic literally.
“Dad! Like is being bitchy again!”
“It’s not Like, it pronounces as Lake, you Liar.”
“It’s Lare! Mom, this is your fault you made my name sounds like Liar.” She complained to her mother who just finished cooking.
“And when did you learn to flip the table? Now go wash your hands or throw you out of the window.” Fair said and both girls rolled their eyes.
“Scary.” They sarcastically said in unison before running out to wash their hands.
“So much like you.” She walked to him and sat next to him.
“Unfortunately.” He kissed her on her lips and she pulled away immediately. “I’m not giving birth to any bitch anymore.”
He chuckled and kissed her on her cheeks.

Lora Pov
Fred was lying in bed in a hospital gown. She was yawning while crossing her hands. She was assigned to look after him while her boss was busy stepping in his work.
It has been months and he hadn’t woken up. The doctors said he hit his head when the explosion happened and has a fifty percent possibility that he’d lose his memory temporarily.
“You know Fera couldn’t do anything against you since you are his cousin even if you destroyed her, now god did the favor her.”
She had been staying up late to check him from time to time. She slept there and rarely leave his room.
His enemy had been keeping an eye on him so she should guard him twenty-four seven. She stood up and walk to him to fix his hair, she was bothered that it was messy.
She almost squealed when he suddenly catch her wrist before she could take her hand.
He opened his eyes and stared at her. She froze for a while and pushed the button to call the doctor. “He’s awake.” She said informed them and the doctor arrived quickly.
She walked away to give space to the doctor but he didn’t let her wrist go. His hand slipped and held her hand.
“Let-”
“It’s okay. Maybe he remembers you.” The doctor cut her off so she stayed there and hold his hand. They ran some to check his well-being.
“Do you recognize her?” The doctor asked.
He shook his head while he was eyeing the doctor like a hawk. She wasn’t convinced by his answer maybe he didn’t trust the doctor so he lied.
“Mrs. Fuentes, it’s positive that he lost his memory but there is nothing to worry about, he’ll regain it soon.” The doctor said thinking Lora was his wife before he bid goodbye.
“Are you okay?” She asked him and pulled her hand away. She went to the side table and got him a glass of water. He accepted it and drank a little, he was still looking at Lora which bothered her.
“Fera has fixed almost everything, I’ll notify Fin that you have woken up.” She got her phone and message him.
“Your burns haven’t fully healed but it’s fine if you want to leave now.” He hasn’t spoken a thing so she stopped and faced him.
“You need anything?” She asked.
“Who are you?”
