Chapter 73: Special Chapter
They tore apart when they were called to the next flight. She saw his grandparents behind him after a tight hug.
“Take care, Lola Clarita. I will miss you.” She said and hugged her too. She proceeded to hug Lolo Nikolas.
“Change your place, hide him away for a while.” She whispered to him and the old man nodded to her.
“Take care, child.” He replied and they turned to catch their flight.
“Goodbye.” She said but Nick didn’t reply, he just smiled and walked away. She watched him every step and he never look back. She started walking to Lora when she saw her walking beside a stretcher.
“What happened?” She asked Lora.
“Severely wounded, they needed to run some test he might hit his head. It’s bleeding until now.” They send him to the hospital while she was still wearing her pajamas.
The annoying reporters were there again, wanting to scoop juice information to write on the stupid headline. Fera assigned Lora to Fred for his recovery and she went home.
“Baldo, I want you to have a one-week leave, I heard your wife is pregnant, spend time with her.” She said while she was eating her breakfast the next day.
“How about you?”
“I will be fixing things, removing living creatures I don’t really like.” She said and Baldo didn’t ask for more. He understands that she wants to do her lovely revenge fun alone.
“Sure, Miss.” He never doubts Fuentes’ plan, they rarely fail.
She stayed in her office for a whole day trying to gather much information she needed and arrange the file she hide in her personal storage.
“They had fun ruining my life for a while,’ she whispered.
She started posting photos with filthy quotes and videos that went viral. Including Constancio’s controversy about who arranged the plane explosion. How dare he?
“They’d love to meet me after this.”
She started sending emails threatening their lives and asking for the exact amount of money to take the files down. Constancio was the first ever to take the bait and she prepared for their second meeting.
“Drop the money to that orphanage across where you are standing right now.” She said in her through the phone. He walked to it and give the money. “That’s for burning my cousin’s face.”
She cut the call and watched his horrified face. It was him who triggered a Fuentes, he deserved it.
She walked by the road calmly even if it was dark and called Fin. “Where are you?”
“On my way.” They get along much cause the share the same impulsiveness. A car stopped in front of her and rolled its window down and she saw Fin.
“Come on in.” She hopped in and he drove aggressively.
“To where Queen?”
“To Arraneta’s.” She said and loaded her gun with enough bullets.
“That’s too little.” He said and Fair laughed.
“We’re not killing anyone today, we’ll rob them.” She said which made him laugh too.
“You need money?” He unbelievably asked.
“Well, I don’t. But they want my money bad so, we’ll make them realize that they had a lot of money by stealing it. You never know a thing’s value until you lost it.” She winked at him and he nodded.
He was going with the flow of what would his cousin want.
“Stop here. They wouldn’t be expecting us today, I mean tonight. I made sure their son was alone here unless he brought girls at home.” She said and then climbed to their gate. She had disabled their security system.
“I’ll wait here, get the volt, here’s the code.”
“What? This is your idea,” He complained.
“That’s why it’s yours to do it. It’s my idea, that’s your part.” She whispered back.
“We didn’t agree on this.” He said and walked eventually. She waited outside watching if someone see them.
After a few minutes, he came back with a bag of pieces of jewelry.
They instantly ran out of the house. “Hey!” They hurriedly drove out and laughed at what happened.
“You badass, why did you get all?”
“I didn’t know how much gold I should steal so I stole all.” He replied but they laughed together.
“Well then, drive to the nearest bridge,” she uttered.
“Why?”
“We’ll throw that.” She simply said and got a stick of cigar.
“What! I stole this for nothing?” He thought that her cousin had gone mad and crazy but understand that she didn’t need it.
“You can have what you like.” He wasn’t into diamonds and it was all girly jewels so they poured every jewel in the water, let the pour get them, and sell to have money.
“I still have a problem left, Fin. Are you down?” She asked while sitting on the edge of the bridge.
“Sure.”
“They are the black organization that my father left and turned against me since I am not into drugs and I didn’t take care of the smuggled drugs. I need to disclose the issue to them. How can I clear the misunderstanding between us.”
“Make them fear you and they’d never cross you again.”
“I can tolerate family rivalry but this, I have been abducted multiple times and they’d ask for money. The problem was, it was an ending cycle.” She said while looking at him.
“That’s pretty hard, it was never easy to cut the involvement with any organization. You can not easily turn your back and leave.
“What should I do?”
“Pay them, make them sign a contract and if they bother you again, we wipe them all off.” He said and she nodded.
“I hope that works. Let’s go, I have loads of work tomorrow.”
“Did you ever get tired of being a Fuentes?” He suddenly asked and she smiled.
“I am long tired but I need to live with it.”
“Yeah, we need to live with it.”
Being a Fuentes means getting your ass work for hours and being vigilant to every move. Everyone is a traitor, and no one wants you to rise, all wants to see you fall.
“I don’t want my children to live like this.”
“So do I.”
