Olivia
In the end, we didn’t talk last night. Once I ate my whole package of food; the portion from breakfast and dinner, Blake told me to go to sleep. I wanted to talk but he insisted and I better listened.
But today would be different. I would make sure that he listened and I would let out what was going on in my mind.
I walked out of the room and saw Blake was on the phone. I walked past him to the dining room and saw the breakfast was already there. An omelet and plain milk, definitely for me. I sat and began to dig in but I couldn’t see Blake’s share. Maybe he had eaten already.
“Okay,” he said and he hung up the phone. He went to me and sat in front of me.
“Was it work?”
“No, it’s not something you need to worry about.” Well, if he said so.
While I was eating, I realized Blake was looking at me. Staring to be exact and made my heart thumped a lot and caused butterflies in my stomach. Why is he looking at me like that? Oh, he wants to make sure that I eat.
“I want to go out with you today,” he suddenly said. I looked up at him. Very confused by his sudden request. “I promised to take you to the Ethel M Chocolate before it was ruined thanks to the bastard.”
“Jesus, Blake. Could you please stop swearing while you’re with me?”
“Sorry.”
“Thank you. I will go but I want to talk.”
“You can talk there. Get ready after you finished your breakfast.” He stood up. “I will take a shower first since I know you will take your sweet time doing the make-up and stuff,” he teased.
“Oh, shut up!” I shouted as Blake walked towards the room while chuckling. I continued my breakfast and then wait until Blake came out of the room.
After we got ready, we headed to the Ethel. I was so excited to go before. I would be eating a lot of variances of chocolate.
Once we arrived, Blake parked his car and like his car was very well-known, a man came to approach us. “Mr. Morgan, it’s a pleasure to have you here,” the man said. He was possibly around his mid-forties and although he was older than Blake, he addressed him so formally.
Both men shook hands and he turned to me. “Oh, I suppose this lovely lady here is your daughter?”
“She is. Her name is Olivia,” Blake informed.
“Ah, it’s a pleasure to meet you, Olivia. Santos is the name.”
“Nice to meet you as well,” I said and shook his hand.
“I know the owner of this place very well and I thought it would be a great idea to invite your father here since the chocolates they served here are one of the best. Maybe your father would like to cooperate with this place for the future,” Santos said.
“I have no intention for that. For now. I just want to take my daughter for a vacation,” Blake said.
“I understand. Please, enjoy yourself while you are here. Excuse me, Mr. Morgan, Olivia,” he parted with us.
“You can take whatever you want, Olivia.”
“Are you sure?” I asked.
“Yes, Santos had paid for the buffet service so you don’t need to hesitate anymore. You can eat in peace,” Blake said.
“Well, that was very nice of him.”
“That’s what people do to get to someone’s good side. He’s a great partner but he always does this,” he scoffed.
“Well, I shall look around then.” I began to look around the display. There were a lot of varieties here. I was lost of where to start. I saw Blake was sitting already and possibly had ordered something to drink from the waitress, clearly, he had zero interest in chocolates.
I grabbed some from the display and went to the table. I tried the milk chocolate truffle first and it was delicious. The chocolate was like melting in my mouth. “I can safely assume that you are enjoying the dessert,” Blake stated.
“I am. I never tasted chocolate like this. Do you want to try?” I offered although I knew what his answer would be.
“No, thanks.”
“Just a small bite,” I pleaded.
“No, Olivia.” His tone sounded rather dangerous now. “Why are you girls like those stuff? It’s overly sweet.”
“Well, that’s the beauty of it,” I said and he smirked, mockingly.
Once I had a good amount of chocolates entered my body, I drank some water and wiped my lips with the napkin. I was so ready and turned to Blake. “Can we talk now?”
Blake stared his blue eyes at me and chuckled lightly. “Are you sure you want to talk here?”
“You will be running away again if I don’t make you talk now.”
Blake looked down and take a sip from his coffee. “It’s too hard to say. Maybe you can consider it a man’s weakness.”
“What does that mean?”
He sighed. “I’m going to be fully blunt to you, I never screw around with random girls anymore ever since I have you with me,” he confessed. That was…shocking.
“Why?”
He scoffed before he continued. “Why should I come home very late in the middle of the night with a woman’s scent around me? That would be disgusting to me. I wanted to be a proper father to you and seeing you…masturbated last night, I snapped. I know it was my fault. I have made you like that. I thought I should take responsibility for it and helped you out. I wanted to say that you should feel lucky because it was me-your father who did that to you but it made me even more disgusted with myself.”
“Don’t say that. It’s my fault as well.” I looked down. I played with the tip of my hot pants. Feeling embarrassed with myself.
“Look at me.” I did in an instant. “You’re too innocent and sweet to be introduced into that kind of world. I know you will know eventually what kind of the world it is but I thought I wanted to spend more time with the current you. You are too precious to me and maybe I have beginning to think that I can’t live without you anymore.”
My heart instantly pounded hard with his words. I never saw Blake like this and said that.
Yet…
“I guess I’m the same as well.” We were looking at each other. His blue eyes pierced deep into me. Like he was looking for something. I was doing the same as well until our moment was broken by a voice.
“Blake?” a familiar voice appeared behind me. I looked up behind and saw Cindy was standing close behind me. “Wow, what a coincidence to meet you two here,” she said but my eyes caught the figure behind her.
My father.
“What are you doing here, Cindy?” Blake asked coldly.
“Well, it’s been a long time since my last visit to Vegas and Taylor was kind enough to take me here,” Cindy explained as my attention back to Blake. He was so irritated.
Great, he was in a bad mood now. Good job, Cindy.
I didn’t want to be rude but I had to take him out of here otherwise the world war three would occur this time.
I was going to stand and grabbed Blake’s hand until Cindy stopped me. “Olivia, there’s someone here who would like to talk to you,” she said. I looked at her and I know who she meant. I could sense the uneasiness coming from Blake. “Taylor would like to speak to you,” she added as Blake stood up.
He was about to open his mouth until Cindy, again, stopped him. “They need this, brother.” Blake looked down at his sister. He was looking at her but I could sense the anger from him. It was fading but it was still there.
Cindy looked back at me and she touched my shoulders. “You should listen to him first before you judge anything,” she said. In my mind, my father apparently had told her everything about the meeting with Blake and how disastrous it was.
I turned to Blake, silently asking for permission. I didn’t want to talk with my father if he didn’t allow me. He looked at me first like he could tell what I was hoping from him. His murderous eyes turned to my father.
“If you hurt her, I’m going to kill you,” he threatened. He was serious. Deadly serious and my father better not doing any sneaky on me or he could kiss his ass goodbye.
“I won’t, Blake. You can trust me on this,” my father said as Blake smirked at his statement. He couldn’t believe him now.
Cindy slowly let me go and went to Blake’s side. Me? I nervously turned to my father and allowed him to escort me out of the place.
