Olivia
I returned to my room and saw Blake was sleeping on the sofa bed.
I felt bad because I let him sleep there. Although the sofa bed looked comfortable, he would be more comfortable in bed.
Blake was sleeping soundly and he didn’t even realize that I just walked in. I sat beside his sleeping figure and staring at his face. I tilted a smile watching how handsome and adorable he was at the same time. He looked so peaceful but I could see the dark circle under his eyes. He must be had worked hard for the past five days so he could have his holiday with me. Yet, it didn’t stop him to look handsome even in his sleep.
I reached out and rubbed his hair. So soft like silk. “Thank you, Blake. For doing all of this for me.” As soon as I said that, Blake suddenly pulled me into his embrace. Surprising me. “B-Blake?” But he didn’t move at all. Is he still sleeping?
His eyes were still closed. Maybe he was dreaming about something. Or someone.
Blake told me before that he wasn’t dating anybody. Well, he could get any woman he liked easily like a flip of a coin. Unfortunately, there was nobody who could make him serious. Until…
“Olivia…” he was murmuring my name in his sleep.
My heart was immediately pounding hard. Like it was ready to jump out and dancing around on the floor because he was dreaming about me.
I looked up at his face. His short beard made him even sexier. I slightly touched it and pulled my hand away. Surrendering myself into him. Allowing Blake to hold me during his sleep.
My eyes became heavy as I allowed sleep to take me over.
During my sleep, I could hear someone was calling me.
…Olivia…
My eyes were too heavy to open.
…Olivia…
I wished I would stop listening to whoever was calling me.
“Olivia.” Until I could hear his voice clearly as I immediately snapped open my eyes. I looked up at Blake who was looking at me. I was still inside his embrace as I immediately moved away from him.
“I, uh, I’m so sorry.” Blake didn’t say a word. He was looking away and then rubbed his hair.
“Please, don’t do that again.”
“Don’t do what?”
“Sleeping so peaceful in my embrace. You could be attacked,” he reminded.
“You won’t do that. And for the record, it was you who pulled me while you were sleeping.”
“Did I?” I gave him a nod. “Oh, my apologies then. So, did you take a look around the hotel?”
“I did. The spa was amazing. I guess that’s why I was getting so sleepy and your chest was comfortable.”
“Glad to hear it.” He stretched out his arms and stood up. “The night has set. It’s time for dinner,” he said and he turned at me. “Go get change, Olive. Wear something rather formal.”
“Formal? I don’t bring any.”
Blake scoffed when I said that. “Look inside the wardrobe. I bought something before I picked you up.”
I stood up and headed to my room immediately. I opened the wardrobe and found a black lace dress. It was so beautiful and Blake was the one who bought it for me. “Oh, my God.”
“You like it?” he asked as I turned around and found him standing at the door.
“I love it. Thank you so much, Blake.” I grabbed it from the wardrobe and headed to the bathroom to get changed.
I took off my black shirts and white-hot pants. The dress suited me perfectly. How did Blake know my size? He never…opened my wardrobe, right?
Well, I guessed he got good eyes. Maybe we would be having dinner in a fancy restaurant. That’s why he told me to wear a dress.
I washed my face and applied simple makeup. Once I looked presentable, I stepped out of the bathroom and found Blake was still half-naked in front of me. His pants were on but his body was left unclothing.
Holy shit!
He had his back on me and oh, God…his back was beautiful.
Blake slightly turned to me and he was surprised to have me finished changing. Before I could say anything, I immediately walked fast out of the room and waited for him in the living room.
My heart was beating fast.
I had seen Blake half-naked before at the house but this would be the first time that I felt awkward seeing him like that.
I touched my chest and tried to balance my breathing. “Relax, Olivia. Remember, he is your father. And it’s normal for him to be like that.” And I was not going to feel anything about it.
Blake finally stepped out of the room and he looked amazing with his suits. He was wearing a light gray suit with dark shirts underneath. The side of his lips tilted. “Like what you see?”
Okay, he was teasing me. “I guess I do.”
“I like you with that dress as well. So beautiful,” he complimented as I tucked my hair.
I stood up. “Where are we going?”
“Back to Caesar Palace. We’re going to have dinner at Restaurant Guy Savoy.” Oh, my freaking God!
I couldn’t believe he took me to eat at two fancy restaurants. In one day. I was so excited to try there.
We went to the car and headed there. Once we arrived, as usual, Blake had made a reservation for us. More importantly, he booked the chef table. I could see the chefs made the food for us.
“I hope you don’t mind I have chosen the dishes for both of us,” Blake informed.
“It’s okay. I preferred you to choose the food for me. I don’t have any idea what the menus are going to look like,” I said and the waiter arrived. He gave wine for Blake while I only had a simple juice.
Watching how Blake swallowing his wine; made me think that he was definitely an adult. He could drink that stuff easily. Was the taste the same as beer?
“Can I try some?” I asked and he directed his eyes on me.
He looked at the glass first before he turned back to me. “Don’t take too much.” He handed the glass to me. I sniffed on it and smelled really strong. But it was different than the one Karen had before.
I took a sip. Tasting it on my tongue and it tasted much nicer than the beer Karen had.
“It’s really good,” I said and gave the glass back to Blake.
“We should come here again after you turned twenty-one so you could drink some nice wine as well. Probably as your graduation gift.” It was still another five years to go but that was okay.
I wanted to come back here with him.
We began to eat appetizers. Something called a foie grass with sea urchin. I never had this before. Hell, I didn’t even know we could eat them. But it was so good.
“By the way, you told me that you went to a club with Karen. Do you like it?” Blake asked.
“Absolutely no. Too many people and it was too noisy.”
“I think you fancy a place like this. Quiet and you can drink in peace.”
“I agree. But I can’t drink, for now, can I? I wanted to be an adult soon.”
“Why do you say so?”
“Well, adults are free to do anything they want. Without limit and boundaries.”
Blake stopped chewing and drank his wine. “But it takes great responsibility as well. Don’t grow up too fast, Liv. I like taking care of you and spoiling you as well. Just like now.” Blake was smiling sweetly at me.
“I like the current you better. You were like an asshole before.”
“I apologized for that. I promise I won’t do that again.” I’m going to hold onto it, Blake.
We had a great dinner. I had lamb chop for the entrée and an amazing vanilla ice cream for dessert.
Blake suddenly received a call. He took it from inside his pocket and only looked at it a bit and then put it back in. “Um, you’re not going to take it?”
“No.”
“Who is it from?”
“John.”
“Then it might be something important, right? Pick it up, Blake. Maybe it’s something urgent that made John call you,” I pleaded, and even though he didn’t like the idea, he picked it up eventually and moved far away from our table. Leaving me enjoying my ice cream.
I didn’t want to be the reason that he ignored his company. Although I was happy that he was willing to sacrifice his job.
“Oh, hello there,” someone suddenly greeted me and when I looked up; he was the man who saved me this afternoon. “Are you alone?”
I immediately put down my ice cream and stood up. “No, I’m with my father.”
“Really? What a great father to take his daughter to a fancy restaurant like this,” he complimented. I loved it hearing these kinds of words from a stranger regarding Blake.
“Well, it’s the summer holiday and he wants to spend it with me.”
“He’s an amazing guy, isn’t it?”
“Yes, he is. Are you alone, sir?”
“No, I’m with my business partners. I don’t really fancy entertaining my partners but I have to otherwise my business will be ruined,” he joked as I chuckled. Not everybody liked to entertain their guests; Blake was also included.
I turned back at him and found him was staring at me. “Um, sir?”
He blinked. “Excuse me, it’s just…you look like someone I used to know. But it’s just my imagination. Well, I have to excuse myself now. Please be careful because I won’t catch you again.”
“I will.” And the man left and Blake finally returned. Looking at me first before he glanced at the man who was just talking to me.
“Who was it?”
“He saved me this afternoon while I was walking around the pool and I almost fell. He holds me before I could kiss the water.”
“I see. Well, are you done with the dessert?”
“Just a little bit.”
“It’s time for us to go to the high roller,” he informed. I quickly finished the ice cream and we walked out of the restaurant together. It seemed Blake had paid it in an advance and I didn’t want to know how much did it cost for us to be at the chef table.
Time to go to the high roller where I had no idea that Blake…was going to tell me a little bit about himself.
