“I’m not on his way,” Kathy Clark answered, looking up at the man.
“I’m not on my way with you either,” Ryan Campbell replied coldly.
Then he hugged me into the car, totally ignoring Kathy Clark. “You take me home first,” I remarked as his car was about to start.
Ryan Campbell paused , turned to face me,
I pretended not to care. I am your pal. Besides, I have no right to blame you if you leave me here and come back immediately.”
“Are you really so generous?” frowned Ryan Campbell.
“Or do you have problem with your brain?”
“You’ve got a problem with your brain!”
Kathy Clark was his childhood sweetheart, and I was merely his pretend wife. He didn’t have to go against his will to make a good play.
Ryan Campbell still cares about Kathy Clark, otherwise he wouldn’t have been in such a rush when Kathy Clark was injured at the party that day.
“OK, let her get in the car,” Ryan Campbell said, looking at my indifferent expression.
He wants to see how generous this woman is.
I sipped my lips and didn’t say anything. I saw him open the window and look at Kathy Clark. Kathy Clark dashed in with an umbrella and stood by the window, looking at him with curious eyes.
“My wife has a nice heart and promised to give you a ride,” Ryan Campbell said deliberately from the back seat.
Kathy Clark’s smile tightened, but she recovered and added, “Thank you, sister.”
Then she sat in abruptly, bypassing the co-pilot.
I’ve never sat in his co-pilot position, and I always sit in the back seat to avoid him, unless he drives a two-seater car.
I sat alone in the back row while the automobile started slowly. Something seemed to be blocking my heart, and I didn’t know how to be at ease.
I wasn’t talking the whole time, simply listening to Kathy Clark and Ryan Campbell talk.
Kathy Clark keeps hunting for topics for chatting, and Ryan Campbell responds with “huh” and “right.”
He appears to be a man of few words, but I soon discovered how much he can nag.
But this nagging only occurs at home, and when he is outside, he is merely frigid in the presence of strangers.
It’s pouring outside, and the car stops in front of Kathy Clark’s house. “Mr. Campbell, it’s raining fiercely,” Kathy Clark stated pleasantly before exiting. Why don’t you and your sister sit upstairs for a little time before you leave?”
“No, she has to go back to bed.”
Kathy Clark’s eyes hide a trace of ruthlessness, and her every remark betrays his compassion for her.
Kathy Clark walked into the building while looking out the window, but the car took a long time to start. I could only hear the door opening and closing. Ryan Campbell, who was originally in the front row, didn’t notice when he came next to me as I turned around.
Ryan Campbell grinned as he glanced at my obviously sad face, leaned out and squeezed her cheek, and added, “You let me give her a ride. “What are you upset about right now?”
I pushed away his palm, looked at the front of the car, and said, “I am not unhappy.”
“Your emotions are written on your face” “You’re jealous and you don’t know it, are you?” Ryan Campbell remarked, edging towards , e.
“Who is envious? ”
“Let me tell you,” Ryan Campbell smiled weakly. ”
Seeing me with other ladies makes you feel uneasy in your heart, no matter what you do. This is known as jealousy.”
“I said I’m not jealousy!” I promptly denied, poking my heart. “You can be together with whoever you want”
Ryan Campbell, on the other hand, saw through me.
I shrank to the corner, pushed him closer and closer, and exclaimed, “What are you doing?! Hurry, I need to get back to sleep!”
“Do you already like me?” Ryan Campbell shoved me to the side of the car door, reached out, and gripped my chin to keep my gaze from departing.
My pupils dilate, I conceal my smile, and my speech gets slurred, but I swiftly deny it. “I like you?” Will I like you? Ryan Campbell, have you gone insane?”
Ryan Campbell furrowed his eyebrows in anger as she laughed at him, saying, “It’s not a disgrace to fall in love with me, and I won’t laugh at you if I say it.”
“How can I possibly fall in love with you?”
When I finished speaking, I gently pressed my hand against his chest and said, “It’s you, find a lady you like quickly, and stop this relationship sooner.”
Ryan Campbell laughed. “Really?”
Before I could respond, he stood up, opened the door, and returned to the cab to drive away.
But my heartbeat hasn’t stopped pounding for a long time. The heart is also in pain due to the rapid beating.
