We agreed not to see each other since we could be caught.
I answered Mike’s message to halt his harassment.
“Oh, I see. When I treat you gently, you don’t appreciate it. Bitch, I’m going to fuck you. If you don’t allow me, I’ll tell Jeric the kid isn’t his. Even if you beg me not to, I won’t be so gentle.”
Mike’s warning almost had me pass out.
Why couldn’t I dump him? Mike was horrible, so I avoided him.
If Jeric found out about us, I’d be in trouble.
I accepted Mike’s request after assessing the advantages and downsides.
“I’m sorry. I was too fast with my reply, but I don’t believe now is a good time to meet. I can spare some time to meet with you. When should we meet? Which hotel?”
I apologized and scheduled a meeting.
Someone knocked on my door after I sent the message.
“Alice, may I talk to you?
From outside, Jeric inquired.
I dropped my phone when I heard Jeric’s voice.
I hastily put aside my phone, wondering whether Jeric had seen my texts.
Jeric responded, “See a doctor if you’re sick. I’m here to discuss our issues.”
I wished Jeric hadn’t seen my text with Mike as I cooled down.
I wasn’t expecting him to inquire about my background, so I was touched.
I hugged Jeric while I described my grief.
“I’ve missed you, Jeric. I haven’t been doing well. If I’d known better, I wouldn’t have left you,” I wailed.
Jeric pulled me aside and patted my shoulder.
” I didn’t want to be a burden to you. I wanted to return after my recovery. But now that you have Dason, I can’t stand by your side.”
Jeric said, “I didn’t expect this to happen either. Maybe God is playing a joke on us. I’m sorry for what happened to you, but I can’t give Dason up. I hope you can let go of the past. Even if we get back together, I won’t be able to make you happy. I hope you can find happiness with a new partner.”
I gazed at Jeric like my world had ended.
He loved Dason?
POV: Jeric
I want Alice to leave me and find happiness, but I didn’t expect her to cry.
I froze.
“Jeric, have you forgotten how happy we were? That you asked me to marry you and pledged to make me the happiest she-wolf in the world?”
Alice wept and hiccupped.
“Of course not. After you left, I was sad for a while, but now I’m over it. You may think it unfortunate, but Dason is the one I love. We can probably make things work between the three of us.”
I sighed, revealing my true aim.
“Dason and I have already discussed this. We will take care of Bruce and raise him up for you. You will get a substantial amount of money as compensation. It should be enough for you to start again. If you run into any difficulties, you may come to us any time, and we will assist you. What do you think?”
“I don’t agree to this. I don’t mind sharing you with Dason. I don’t even have to be your Luna. I still adore you.”
Alice’s eyes sparkled as she said.
“Well, you may remain, but it won’t be like the past since I don’t love you anymore. Trying to reclaim my affections would damage you and Dason. This is all I can give you. Stop for a second and think about my offer.”
I attempted to convince her to avoid a love triangle.
POV: Alice
Why? I didn’t even confront Dason for Luna, but Jeric rejected me as a mistress.
I just wanted to be with him, but he wouldn’t let me.
Didn’t he remember us? I sobbed uncontrollably.
Jeric and I kissed wildly.
I clung to him as he pushed me away.
“Stop, Alice. We can’t go back”
Jeric shoved me.
As I talked, I undressed to catch Jeric’s eye.
I want to seduce him and reunite.
“Remember? Let me refresh your mind.”
I pushed Jeric down and smiled at him.
POV: Dason
Jeric asked if he may speak to Alice, and I agreed.
Outside the door, I heard nothing from within.
When I saw Alice’s drapes weren’t drawn, I walked in.
I watched Alice undress before kissing Jeric through the curtain.
Am I crazy? They kissed? They clarifying?
I couldn’t stand the situation and fled soon.
I attempted to stay cool by raising my hands. My mind kept replaying what I’d witnessed.
I told myself to believe Jeric and our love, but this scenario was genuine.
Alice’s absence caused Jeric to be melancholy for years. She also had his kid.
He couldn’t ignore her. How could he give up Bruce, the result of their love? I had trouble breathing despite controlling my emotions.
“Soon,” I lied.
“I’ll depart now. Tell us if you need assistance.”
POV: Jeric
I want to talk to Alice so Dason stops being upset.
I didn’t want a love triangle, but I didn’t expect Alice to attempt to seduce me.
I don’t want to harm Dason, so I pushed Alice away, but she persisted.
“Yes, Jeric? Not anymore? I recall how much I loved making love with you.”
“Alice, put on your clothes. We’re done.”
I exited Alice’s room after saying that.
“Did you visit Alice? Why so soon? “Dason questioned.
I got a strange sensation about Dason, but I didn’t dwell on it.
“I informed Alice about our offer, but she didn’t want money or another guy. Maybe she felt insulted that I was giving her money in return for her kid, but I only want to help her start a new life. I hate being trapped between you two. It feels dreadful, and I don’t know what to do.
” If we get back together, you can stop worrying about all these things.”
Dason’s inquiries surprised me, and I didn’t know how to respond.
POV: Dason
I winced and rubbed my temple.
Jeric blinked at my queries.
After what seemed like an eternity, he said, “I have to admit what Alice and I had was wonderful. But that’s all in the past now. You are my present and my future. I promise you, there’s nothing romantic between me and Alice, and nothing will ever happen. I’m loyal to you and you alone. Please, trust me.”
But I couldn’t deny what I’d seen.
He kissed a half-naked Alice.
