I was glad when Rona closed the door.
Oku’s perspective:
Rona was a competent she-wolf. She erased Buther’s memory.
I enjoyed his helplessness and sadness.
He must’ve felt horrible with his lost memories .
Stephan Buther! He must not have expected this.
Sad! I needed Rona’s help, even if Stephan Buther had lost his memory.
So I called her.
She responded quickly when called.
She said, “Oku, how can I help?”
“Rona, I’m pleased.”
I grinned, “Thanks, Oku.”
I’ll marry you and Stephan Buther. What do you think?
Rona wanted to marry my dumb uncle, so I prepared to grant her desire.
With Rona watching Stephan Buther, I could progressively reduce his authority.
I expected her to be surprised and thank me, but she was strangely silent.
“Are you unhappy? Don’t you want to marry him?”
“I want to marry Stephan Buther as soon as possible, but he may not comply. He told me he won’t contemplate getting married until Elizabeth wakes up. If she wakes up, my plan will be shattered!”
After some thought, I suggestedy, “Let’s murder Elizabeth and finish the situation.”
Rona hesitated but agreed with me.
“What’s next?”
“When Stephan Buther isn’t there, we can poison Elizabeth’s IV bag and let the hospital take the blame. What do you think?”
Rona said, “Great. If there’s nothing else, I’ll leave.”
I contemplated poisoning Elizabeth in my chamber.
Daina’s POV:
“Why hasn’t Stephan Buther responded to my messages? I’m afraid. The sooner we find out the truth, the sooner we can check on him,” I informed Berry.
Stephan Buther had no news, and I couldn’t reach him.
I was scared about Stephan Buther but didn’t show it.
I feared something horrible occurred to him since he hadn’t responded my SMS or calls.
“Daina, you’re probably worrying too much. Stephan Buther was OK when we left. Maybe he’s too busy to check his phone these days. Cheer up. Once we accomplish our mission here, we can go back. Once you marry Stephan Buther, you’ll have plenty of time to be together,” Berry reassured me.

Yes, let’s meet Elder Almond.
Tannu arranged for us to meet Almond today.
Tannu was friendly and had helped us a lot, so I guessed her father was too.
We only knew whether Almond was a friend or adversary after seeing him face-to-face.
Tannu entered the room with an elderly werewolf half an hour later.
His eyes swept the room before landing on me.
He cried when he saw me.
When he sat down, I recalled him from my boyhood.
My father trusted him at the time.
“Are you Daina Barry, Alpha s’ daughter?” he questioned.
I didn’t need to disguise my identify from him since he recognized me and didn’t want me harm.
I nodded , “I remember you, Elder Almond. You were a kind werewolf. You supported my father and were loyal to him. I don’t think you would betray him.”
Almond jumped up.
Alpha ‘s daughter, was alive and seated in front of him.
He was delighted I trusted him.
I sprang up and grabbed him.
“Please sit down. Let’s discuss,”
“Daina, I never believed I’d see you again. Even if I die today, I won’t have any regrets. I can’t believe Daniell has a live descendant. I’m very pleased.”
Almond wiped his coffeers and continued, “Since Eden became the Alpha, the Moonlight Pack has been ruined. Daina, now that you’re here, I hope you can redeem the Moonlight Pack and lead us from now on. All the werewolves here are living horrible lives.”
I trusted Almond since he wasn’t an outsider.
In that situation, I told him my uncle was still living.
I presented Allen to them.
“Elder Almond, that’s my uncle, Jeric. He’s the genuine heir of our pack’s Alpha. Eden is a shameless thief. Please rest assured. Together, we will punish Eder for his offenses and restore harmony to the Moonlight Pack.”
Almond’s enthusiasm was palpable. He stood and admired Allen.
Allen pulled off his cap and sunglasses and nodded.
Before regaining his composure, Almond’s amazement turned to disappointment.
After knowing so much in a few minutes, he must have conflicting feelings.
He was delighted my uncle and I were alive but sorry about his memory loss.
His eyes brightened up as though he recalled something.
He pulled out a family picture and added, “Hope this helps.”
He handed Allen a snapshot.
“Your father and I were dear friends, and I was quite fond of you both. I was distraught when I heard you were dead. I couldn’t believe it, and I’ve had your picture with me all these years. Thank God you’re both still alive and well.”
Allen:
I grabbed Almond’s picture.
My brother, Daina, and I were in the shot.
My brother held Daina’s hands while I held her head.
We all seemed delighted.
Since remembering the memory pieces, I’ve had a headache.
Looking at the snapshot Almond provided me, I remembered more childhood moments.
These recollections are foggy and fade quickly in my memory.
The more I tried to remember, the more my brain ached.
Almond smiled and said, “He may be closer to regaining his memories. a It’s good thing. Don’t worry too much. Jeric, Daina, I saw you both while walking by a street recently. I thought you looked familiar, so I asked Tannu to follow you. But I never expected you to be Alpha Daniell’s children. I’m overjoyed.”
I thanked Almond for remembering us.
“Fortunately, I’ve built up my own influence. On the surface, I’m submissive to Edenr, but I despise him to the core. I hope I can use my authority in the Moonlight Pack to help you overturn Edenr’s tyranny. Please let me join you.”
“Of course. We would be pleased to have your help, Elder Almond. But before that, we must locate Elder Teddy to confirm the destiny of my sister, Daina. Eden has accused her of being a jinx. We must refute it,” I stated.
“That won’t be a problem. I’ll drive you to the mountain in the east. Teddy is a buddy of mine. He used to dwell in the mountain, but he lost touch with me. If we all work together, I’m sure we’ll locate Teddy.”
Daina thanked you.
We’re all pals. It’s nothing.
“Okay, let’s go.”
We looked for Teddy together.
