I could only see her back. I wanted to rush after her, but I couldn’t move.
I was astonished to wake up in my room. My sweat-soaked garments.
I was about to take a shower but saw someone in my room.
Rona.
She filled a glass.
She raced to me as I sat up.
“Stephan, you’re awake!”
How come? “Rona, aren’t you studying abroad? Why are you in my room?”
I noticed Rona’s eyes flood up with tears.
The doctor stated Stephan Buther would lose his memory, but I didn’t trust him.
Rona approached, anxious.
“I lost my memories?” I was shocked.
Rona grunted.
‘You traveled to the packs to select out exceptional werewolves, but your jet crashed on the way back. You survived, but you’ve been in a coma for a few months. The doctor stated your condition may lead to forgetfulness. Have you lost your memories?”
I still didn’t understand. Still puzzled.
“Did you say the aircraft crashed on my way home after I chose elite werewolves?
Do you remember Mom? Do you remember me?
Rona questioned me, but I was in a stupor and couldn’t respond.
“I remember you and Mom. I also remember going to the packs to recruit trainees. But I can’t remember anything after that. What did you say? A aircraft crash? How did I get here from a plane crash?”
“Forget it. If you can’t recall, don’t worry about it. Take care of yourself. I’ll explain later.”
Rona brought me to the bed by the hand.
“Okay,” I said dazed.
I sat on the bed, gently embracing the truth that I had lost my memories.
Rona suddenly hugged me and looked like she was about to cry.
“Stephan Buther, I adore you. It’s nice you haven’t forgotten me.”
What she said made me shudder, but what she said next knocked me out.
“Stephan Buther, we’re a couple. I came back from overseas a long time ago, and we’ve been together a long time. It seems like you’ve forgotten about our relationship. I’m delighted you still remember me. We can start afresh.”
Rona leaned on me.
Would I date my sister? Never! I backed away from her at the notion.
She stated we were a relationship, but anytime she came near me, I wanted to run.
” Rona. Don’t say that,” I told her.
Rona frowned at me.
“I swear, Stephan Buther. Please don’t desert me! Why do you push me away so coldly?”
She sobbed and lost her voice.
Since we were kids, I never liked it when Rona sobbed.
I patted ted’s shoulder and said, “I’ll try to remember. Stop sobbing, okay?”
Rona sniffled.
I asked Cara what happened.
Cara was equally perplexed. The last thing she remembered was concerning trainee selection.
A servant summoned us to the residence a few minutes later.
Oku had a party. I had to abandon the inquiry and attend the dinner with Rona.
Oku asked about my health as we were seated.
“I’m alright. Thanks for asking,” I said.
I needed to be on my best behavior due to the event.
Why were people behaving so weird? Oku liked me? I recollect Oku returning alone to tell us our father had perished in the war. His behavior made me suspect.
Over the years, he constantly weakened me.
We had several arguments. Despite losing certain memories, I recalled our arguments.
Why did he pretend to care about me today? I had to be wary about Oku’s motives.
I’d topple his authority and remove this hypocrite’s power.
I couldn’t tell him my views, however.
When Oku brought up Rona, I was stumped.
“You two are a fantastic match. Since you two love each other so much, how about I plan your wedding? ”
Oku waved away.
“It’s well-known that you and Rona have been together. Don’t be ashamed.”
I couldn’t believe it.
I was with Rona. Why couldn’t I view Rona as my love while she sat next me?
“I need some time”I had to carefully consider it.
Rona continued feeding me throughout the dinner.
When I left the banquet hall, my cells sprang back to life.
I needed time to adjust to our relationship’s transformation.
I’d lost my memories, including dating my sister, I was informed.
I intended to see mom. What happened?
Rona stopped me outside the dinner hall.
“Stephan, wait!”
She caught up and took my hand. She smiled, but I shrugged off her hand.
“Go ahead. I’ll visit Mom first.”
Rona grabbed my arm and said, “Stephan Buther, Mom… she… may not be here.”
“What?” I asked.
Rona bowed her head when asked, “Where’s she?”
“She slipped into a deep slumber after your aircraft disaster. The doctor thought she was too frightened and upset, so…”
I knew my mother’s health was decreasing, but I thought she was in decent shape.
My mishap may have hurt my mum.
“I’ll take you, but prepare mentally.”
Rona drove me to hospital. I discovered my mum comatose.
She couldn’t eat s. Seeing her alone, I couldn’t help but feel bad for her.
I asked my mother’s maid.
Since yesterday, Rona visited and spoke with Mrs. Buther, who eventually collapsed.
Rona alone with my mom? Just as I asked Rona to explain, she looked sorrowful.
“It’s true. I’m partly responsible. You didn’t wake up, and Mom was worried. I should have seen how upset she was and not said anything…”
Rona comforted me by holding my hand.
“Stephan Buther, don’t worry. She’s blessed. She’ll wake up sooner or later. I can remain with you. We can wait for her to wake up together.”
I sighed as Rona held my hand.
“Rona, I hope you will understand why I won’t be married until Mom wakes up. As a son, I feel horrible for placing her in this condition. How could I get married?”
Rona repressed her feelings by gritting her teeth.
“Stephan Buther, I’m prepared to accept this. We can speak about getting married later, but you can’t keep running away from me, okay?”
“Sorry, Rona. I don’t want to speak about it today. You may go ahead. I want to remain with Mom.”
I turned to decline Rona again when her phone rang.
She chewed her lip and saw the phone screen.
