Haris sounded annoyed by my doubt: “Don’t worry. He won’t recall without my aid.”
As long as I get what I desire, so will you.
His face softened.
I requested for another bottle of the miraculous medicine.
I had never forgotten that Elizabeth was still in the picture.
She’d disclose my strategy if she told Stephan Buther. This couldn’t happen.
When I reached for Haris’ bottle, he instantly retracted his hand.
I handed him my wallet without counting its contents.
Only then did he give me the miraculous medicine.
With a nod, I picked up Stephan Buther and took him back to the castle. Once he was in bed, I called a maid and went to Elizabeth.
I knocked.
As I waited outside Elizabeth’s room, a maid delivering hot porridge approached.
I grabbed the maid’s dish and followed her inside Elizabeth’s room.
I put the magic potion to the oatmeal while no one was looking. I told myself I was OK.
Everyone who stood in my path should be punished.
POV: Elizabeth
“No news?” I questioned the maids who’d enquired about Stephan Buther.
They all said, “No, Mrs. Buther.”
Stephan Buther and Oku were at war’s climax.
“What’s up, mom?”
Rona stopped me from getting out of bed when she spotted me struggling.
“Stephan Buther is missing.”
Rona reassured, “He’s at my apartment.”
I said, “Are you serious?”
I was worried about my only son.
Rona tucked me in.
I grabbed Rona’s hand and stood up, but she stopped me.
“Mom, you’re as pale as a ghost. If Stephan Buther sees you, he’ll be frightened. Eat first.” She gave me oatmeal.
“That makes sense. I was eager.” I gently ate the cereal.
“What have you been up to? You were going to be married. If it weren’t for me and my illness, you’d be married by now. If you want to organize a wedding ceremony, just tell me. I’m sure we can arrange something.”
“Don’t worry about me, Mom. Take care of yourself; we’ll chat later.”
“I’m just worried about you and Stephan Buther. Until you’re married, I can’t relax.”
As I talked, I felt tired. Maybe it was my health.
Rona said, “Oh, Mom, just eat the porridge first.”
My daughter was kind and compassionate.
“Alright, okay,” I cheerfully ate oatmeal.
My eyes got heavy and I couldn’t resist weariness.
I’d never seen anything like that.
I heard someone call my name but was too drowsy to answer. I could only shut my eyes and lose consciousness.
Rona’s POV:
“I’m sorry,” I said between tears. I tucked Elizabeth in and couldn’t help but cry.
I handed her the wizard’s magic potion. She may never awaken.
I adopted Elizabeth. She grew me up. I’d considered her my biological mother for years.
She ruined my joy.
She wanted me to marry someone I didn’t know and quit dating the one I loved.
I felt justified in my actions whenever I recalled this. Touching her face made me weep.
“Thank you for raising me and treating me as your own. I didn’t have the heart to murder you, but I adore Stephan Buther, so I made you sleep.” I smiled cruelly.
When I calmed down, I knocked over the dish and acted terrified.
I shrieked, “Mom, are you okay?”
When they heard my screaming, maids came.
When they saw Elizabeth unresponsive and the dish overturned, they patted.
“Mom fainted, call an ambulance!”
Elizabeth was taken to the Rosryal hospital by ambulance soon after.
After an hour, the doctor removed their masks and said,
Mrs. n Buther won’t be awake soon.
“Ask the hospital to use the greatest medication. Leave a few maids to care for her. Hire a few nurses, too. Mom will wake up!”
After making these arrangements, I sat in the hospital hallway and started crying again.
Transforming my mum into a vegetable was wrong.
The servants accompanied Elizabeth to a private ward to care for her.
Cold gusts blew in my face as I sat dejectedly in the hallway.
I heard footsteps and saw boots.
I believed it was Stephan Buther and was thrilled.
When I glanced up, I saw Oku. I hurriedly concealed my swollen eyes.
Ouch! Stephan Buther seemed awake.
“Wow, I can’t believe Rona is sobbing. Even I didn’t see this coming. How did it feel to drug your own mother? Do you feel guilty?”
I smiled smugly at him to mask my sadness.
He told hospital workers to care for Elizabeth. After that, he brought me out of the hospital and to his room.
He sat on the couch and said, “What did you do to Elizabeth?”
“I placed her in a coma using a mystical potion. If everything goes well, she may never wake up.”
Oku told me, “You’re my lady. Well done.”
“Come, sweetheart.”
Where is Stephan Buther?
Oku cuffed me.
“I’ve dealt with him. The outcome will be good.”I mumbled.
Oku touched my face and breasts.
“Betray me, and I’ll kill you.”
Oku was a crazy. I knew he was serious, but I smiled.
“I obliterated Stephan Buther’s memories. As long as they’re gone, no one will challenge your rule.”
“You’re helpful. I don’t want to go. What should I do?”
Oku was happy.
He gripped my jaw and made me stare into his eyes.
He pecked my cheek and smirked.
He was powerful, so I couldn’t irritate him.
“Oku,” I cooed as I rubbed his arm.
Oku’s eyes brightened up at my response, so he had me sit on his lap.
Okay, Oku?
“Since Stephan Buther has lost his memory, I need you to make my lie .”
He blinked, then nodded.
“Okay, but you must do as I say. I’ll give you what you want for now, but you don’t want to know the repercussions, Rona.”
I placed my hands around his neck and bit his Adam’s apple.
I kissed his belly.
Oku finally lost control and pulled off my clothing.
If I battled alone, I’d never win.
Stephen Buther’s POV:
Too real, my lengthy dream.
In my dream, a female faced away from me.
