The dusk came and the armies gathered, Conrad and Jax looked around at their men that are ready for battle. They know that there are only two options left – either to win or to lose this fight. if they lose, everything will be lost too. The only option that has to be considered is victory.
“We have gathered here on the last chance to make things right. Fighting Stefan is the only one we have left, we can not attempt to lose this war. Until the very last drop of blood is shed, we will not stop nor will we show mercy. Stefan took people’s lives without mercy, if you are opportune to fight with him, show no mercy,” Conrad tells them.
“Stefan took Emily and up till now, we do not know if she is alive or dead. Please, I admonish you to also be on the lookout for her. Make sure you are careful and do not lose your life to those dogs,” Jax adds.
The warriors nod in agreement and they match together to the battlefield. Stefan’s army is already waiting for them to arrive with Sarah standing confidently by his side.
“Welcome, my friends to the last show. I believe that you came prepared to fight me and bring me down, however, I would love to remind you that this is not a mere joke, and if you lose your life, so be it,” Stefan announces sarcastically.
“What about Emily?” Louis asks.
“She’s alive but the question is where did I dump her? It might take you ages to find her and by then she’ll be dead!”
Sarah nudges Stefan angrily, “Why are you telling them that Emily is alive? It’ll make it easier for him to find her.”
“I thought it would make it more fun,” Stefan says.
Sarah turns to one of the rogues, “Quick, go to where I dumped Emily and kill that bitch.”
The rogue nods and goes off, Conrad notices the exit of a single man into the remaining threshold of the castle. He follows him immediately, there could be something fishy going on in there.
“Charge!” Stefan orders.
The two armies collide in a loud battle cry, each person fighting against the other. Louis fights with all anger in him, remembering that Emily has suffered so much at their hands.
Conrad follows the rogue quietly, the remains of the castle resemble a haunted house. There are cobwebs everywhere and a dark long passage that seems endless, Conrad is ready to attack at any given opportunity. He watches as the rogue kicks the door down and enters with loud dirty laughter, Conrad follows him behind to see Emily tied to a table.
The rogue pulls out his sword and raises it high to strike but Conrad intervenes quickly, he pushes the rogue to the side. The rogue stands on his feet immediately and lounges towards Conrad, he raises his sword again but Conrad defends his attacks.
The rogue continues to attack Conrad back to back, trying to exhaust him quickly. Conrad blocks all of his attacks and manages to give him a small cut on his skin, the rogue stumbles backward. Conrad charges again to attack, but the rogue dodges his blow and stabs him. Emily would have screamed but her taped mouth wouldn’t let her.
Conrad drops his sword, he uses his hands to press the wound to prevent it from bleeding excessively. The rogue rushes towards him to stab him again, Conrad has to move to the side to avoid his attacker from striking him down. He uses his leg to push the rogue down, he hits the rogue again on his back and does it continuously until the rogue is too weak to stand.
Then he uses the wooden chair to hit the rogue hard, the rogue becomes unconscious. Conrad unties Emily hurriedly, she falls weakly into his arms.
“Emily, are you okay?” Conrad asks.
“No, I’m not. I want to get out of here,” Emily says.
He carries her out and takes her far away from the battlefield then he sends one of the warriors to inform Louis that Emily has been saved.
On the battlefield, the smell of blood fills the air. Louis and his army have gained the upper hand, killing almost all of Stefan’s men. Stefan, seeing that they might lose this war, drags Sarah out to a safer place.
“What are you doing?” Sarah asks in confusion.
“You need to get to safety,” Stefan says.
“No, I want to fight by your side,” Sarah objects.
Stefan shakes his head, “Listen to me. We’ve lost already but I must kill Louis first. In case I don’t make it back, I want you to be safe on your own.”
He kisses her softly on her lips. Stefan and Sarah have created a relationship with each other. Stefan wouldn’t want both of them to go down in flames at the same time, someone has to be alive to finish the story.
“I love you, Stefan, don’t die,” Sarah cries bitterly.
“I love you too, Sarah. No matter how bad you think you look, I know that you are beyond beautiful. Now go, run as fast as you can, and don’t look back.”
He watches her as she runs away before returning to the battlefield.
“Louis! let’s end this war!” he yells and rushes to attack Louis.
Louis pulls out his sword and blocks his attack immediately, “You took away everything from me, now it’s time for you to die!”
They continue to clash their sword, attacking and blocking each blow that comes the other’s way. Roughly none of them wants to back down first, they continue this until Louis’s sword is removed from his hand. Stefan laughs loudly, thinking that he has won.
As he is about to stab Louis, Jax stabs his heart from behind. Louis smirks at him, a victorious smile curving his lips.
“You thought you won but you’re wrong, I have the victory,” Louis says, he collects Stefan’s sword and chops his head off with it.
Blood splash on Jax and Louis’s face, the battle is over. A few men that came with Stefan retreat as soon as they see that their commander is dead, and a loud cry of victory rises in the battlefield.
The warrior that was sent by Conrad approaches them and makes the announcement.
“Emily has been saved by the Beta!”
Louis sighs in relief, his prayers were answered.
