“Stefan, please. Let me go!” Emily screams as high as her voice can go. But Stefan drives madly instead, at a high speed that could get both of them killed.
He keeps on driving to and fro on the road and at this point, Emily regrets trying to escape in the first place.
“Stefan, stop this madness. You’ll get us killed!”
“Tell me why you want to escape, Emily?” he growls.
“Okay, stop the car first and I’ll tell you!”
Stefan hits the brakes, and Emily lunges forward and hits her head on the dashboard. Blood trickles down to her jaw from the side of her head, she is feeling lightheaded but there’s nothing she can do except to explain to Stefan what the hell she was doing earlier.
“I’m listening,” Stefan grunts, not caring about the blood on her face.
“I’m sorry for trying to escape…”
“I asked you why, Emily, don’t try to test my patience,” Stefan warns.
“I am sick and tired of staying with you, I wanted to go back to Louis because you’ve been acting so weird lately and I was scared that you might force yourself on me one day,” she cries out.
Stefan hits the steering wheel several times, “Are you out of your mind? you don’t trust me, right? that’s why you think I’m not a good guy.”
“Stefan, I’m so grateful for accommodating me these past few days but I think it’s time for me to go.”
“You are not going anywhere until I say so. I’m so attached to you now, if you leave I will end my life too. You have to stay with me, Emily.”
“But I don’t belong to you!” Emily cries out.
“No, you don’t. You belong to someone that I know so much. Emily with you by my side, Louis will give up his title as an Alpha.”
It then dawns on Emily that Stefan was who she thought he would be – a bad person. That dark aura she felt around her was not wrong, he helped her so he could use her against Louis.
But why?
“Louis will never listen to you, he’s married to Katherine! You’re wasting your time if you think that Louis will ever listen to you especially when it is about me.”
“We shall see about that,” he murmurs and turns on the ignition of the car.
“Stefan, I’m begging you to let me go. Whatever beef you have with Louis can be settled amicably, you can’t continue to do this to me.”
“Emily, where are we headed?” Stefan asks.
The question shuts her up for a second, she thinks hard about the right answer to give him. After a series of endless debates, Emily gives in to the only answer she could think of.
“Home, let’s go home.”
“Good girl,” Stefan smiles.
They arrive at the house a few minutes later, Stefan holds Emily as they enter. He brings a bowl of cold water and a clean rag to wipe off her blood.
“Stop trying to run away from me. I won’t cage you like a slave but if you make another attempt to escape, I’ll begin with cutting your skin.”
Emily shivers as he comfortably says those horrible words. He puts a small plaster on the wound to stop it from bleeding.
“Thank you,” Emily mutters. She has no choice but to do whatever Stefan says, if she wants to remain alive.
“You can go to your room, Emily. I love you.”
Emily does not respond to this, she simply lies on her bed and cries her eyes out. When she wakes up in the morning to check up on Stefan, he’s already gone. A note is on his bed:
‘I went to see Louis, my long-time friend. We will catch up on some things and I’ll be back late, don’t do anything stupid. I love you, my dear Emily.’
“Love? you call this madness love, Stefan, to hell with you!” she yells.
Louis is shocked to see Stefan again, the audacity he has to return to the Crescent Moon pack after being sent into exile.
“Stefan, what are you doing here?” Louis asks.
Katherine is also surprised to see a man that changes Louis’s mood. She is excused from their conversation but decides to eavesdrop instead.
“I came to say hi to you, my friend,” Stefan smiles.
“Are you nuts? you’re still in exile, get out of here… now!”
“Why don’t you calm down and let me say why I’m here? I can’t possibly leave my hideout to see you without having a good reason for it.”
Louis folds his arms, “Why are you here?”
“I have a surprise for you and if you don’t behave well, you might end up losing it.”
Louis becomes confused, who knows what other crazy trick that Stefan had come up with? Stefan hands him a phone and he watches the video playing. it’s Emily who is sleeping with a plaster on her head, she looks uneasy and restless.
Louis stands up abruptly, “Where did you get this?”
Stefan snatches the phone from Louis, satisfied with the expression he got from him, “Are you kidding me? she’s with me now, Louis.”
“What? How come she’s with you?”
“Why don’t you ask that stupid cousin brother of hers? I should even thank him personally for allowing me to complete my revenge on you all.”
It then dawns on Louis that Emily’s life is in danger, Stefan is a maniac, and he might do anything to her.
“Release her now!”
“I’m afraid I’ll have to go now, my princess is waiting for me. If you want her, then you’ll have to give up your pack to me in exchange for her freedom.”
Stefan leaves, but Louis can’t stop him. He knows that pushing Stefan’s buttons will only worsen matters. He quickly calls Jax.
“What happened to Emily?”
“She was exiled for a crime,” Jax replies sadly.
“What crime?”
“She tried to destroy someone’s face.”
“Jax, Emily is in danger. She’s with Stefan now.”
“What? How come.”
“No time to explain, I’m coming to your pack right now.”
He hangs up and grabs his coat. From the door, Katherine smirks. This is a perfect opportunity for her to make things easier for her too.
She enters her car and follows the stranger who would look like a good accomplice to her.
