Crescent Moon pack
His eyes are wide open at midnight, with no sign of sleep in them. His thoughts are far away and he is thinking about the woman who was rejected by him – Emily. Louis doesn’t know what is wrong with him or why he is thinking about her, he is certain that he misses her yet he can not bring himself to admit it. Why did he let her go like that?
The most important question is why he regrets his marriage to Katherine. He thought that he would feel those butterflies that he felt around Emily but everything about Katherine was off the charts, she was not who he thought her to be.
It now brings him to another question, what is he going to do now? How is going to make amends for what he did to Emily? Katherine has caused his pack to deteriorate in many ways, he is only lucky that enemy packs and the rogues are not aware of the situation his pack is in. They would have attacked his pack and taken over, Katherine is not even helping matters.
Cold hands jerk him from his deep thoughts only to find that she is touching his bare chest probably because she wants him to make love to her, that is the only thing that Katherine is best known for. He doesn’t know how to confront her that their marriage is not only based on sexual desires but her contributions to the affairs of his pack.
“Baby, are you asleep?” Katherine murmurs sleepily.
Louis grunts and removes her hands from his chest, but she puts them back and continues her lustrous touch on his chest.
“What do you want now, Kath?” he asks with fury.
Katherine did not care about his anger, her body was craving for his love and that was all that mattered to her. Instead of replying to him, she takes her hand down to his shaft and pulls out his manhood. She bends her head low and sucks it like a suckling baby, Louis lets out a moan but his mind is completely distracted.
He grabs her hair and brushes her off gently, Katherine frowns at his actions. He has never refused her advances at night, why is he pushing her away?
“Kath, I don’t want to make love to you tonight,” Louis says in his mind.
“Why?”
He does not reply to her, he does not need a reason to refuse her request. Katherine’s anger rises, she climbs on top of him and makes an attempt to kiss his lips. Out of anger, Louis pushes her off the bed. The loud thud on the floor indicates that she must have had a great fall, and Katherine cries out in pain.
Louis gets up immediately and grabs his shirt, “I’ll sleep in the guest room.”
Katherine watches him leave with tears in her eyes, she is wondering why Louis is behaving strangely. She knows that he is becoming uncomfortable around her but what more could she do?
She is his Luna and whether he likes it or not, they will always be married.
Louis barely slept with comfort and when the day came, he quickly dressed up and went to his office. His beta, Williams, was on a mission to find Emily. He will be returning this morning with the results of his findings, Louis hopes for good news.
Williams arrives thirty minutes later. Louis stands up with curiosity written on his face.
“Well, what did you find?”
“Nothing, Alpha Louis. Her location remains unknown and even her parents are not aware of what happened or where she is at,” Williams replies.
Louis is shocked to hear this, no wonder her parents still dropped emails and good luck messages to him. They thought she was with him, not knowing that he had broken her heart and allowed her to leave.
“Do you want me to continue searching for her?”
Louis shakes his head, “No. Maybe this is how the moon goddess wants it to be, Emily is gone forever. I’ve lost a woman that was meant for me…” Louis holds himself from breaking down in tears.
Williams gets curious, “Can I ask a question?”
Louis nods, but his face is still tight as he tries to refrain from crying out loud.
“Why did you reject Emily? You dated her for nine years and have known her since childhood, everyone is surprised that you chose Katherine over her.”
“The only reason why I rejected Emily was because my parents persuaded me to do so. They thought that marrying my fated mate would bring more fortune to the pack and look where it has brought us to – the brink of our downfall. All Katherine knows is lovemaking, the power of being a Luna is absent in her aura. I am saddened to say that I realized this too late, I’ve lost Emily forever.”
Williams sighs, pitying his Alpha’s miserable state of mind. Louis has not been himself ever since he realized that Katherine was more like a whore, he has been searching for Emily frantically but it seems like the moon goddess is unwilling to reunite them together. The pack is deteriorating and soon, their enemies will attack them.
If anyone should stand by Louis’s side and restore this pack’s glory, it will be Emily.
“I will continue to search for her more effectively, Alpha. I know that you are against it but I cannot stand still and watch our pack as it crumbles,” Williams announces with determination.
Even if it will take him his last breath to find Emily, he will do it. Louis is touched by his Beta’s determination to do this for him, he nods proudly at him.
“Thank you for understanding what this means to me.”
Williams nods and leaves Louis in his office, Louis sits on the chair and breathes in and out heavily. His mind is clouded with the worst fears of losing the woman and he realizes he is still in love with her.
“Come back to me, Honey. I’ve missed you,” he mutters bitterly.
His heart is aching madly for his woman. Suddenly the door flings open…
