AS DAYS PASSED BY
Reid pushed Kyros away from Maria who was staring at Reid with shock on her feminine face.
Kyros had a stunned look on his face as to why Reid was shirtless in his girlfriend’s apartment and Reid looked so furiously at Kyros.
Maria stared all over Reid’s half-naked body. She trailed her eyes slowly from his face down to his chest, skipping his torso to his thighs and to his legs. Abruptly, she walked her eyes back up at his surprisingly huge bulge. He didn’t have a boner the bulge was quite noticeable.
“He should have at least gotten something on,” Maria thought.
“Wha…” Kyros rested his forehead in his palm out of frustration before he continued. “What? No. Why is he here?” Kyros looked at Maria with his hand pointing at Reid.
“I should ask you that. What do you think you’re doing, clutching your hands all over her like that?”
“You haven’t told him?” Kyros asked, looking over at Maria with a raised eyebrow.
“Told me what?”
“That I am her boyfriend now and I can do whatever I so wish with her body,”
His words dropped a bunch of thorns within her and her face grew to be a representation of hurt. How could he say that? She thought.
“Can you fucking get some clothes on?!” he exclaimed and Reid looked down at his body before he turned away.
“I’ll get back to your shitty talk, Kyros,” he said as he pointed his index finger at him before walking off.
It was gradually fading off. What they had and shared. The common goals and passion to win cases. The natural Client-lawyer relationship was fading off. The friendship they’d shared was slowing going farther away from them. It was slipping through their fingers and yet none of them was willing to safe it.
“What do you mean by what you just said?” Maria finally spoke up and Kyros looked over at her with a not-you-again look plastered on his face.
“What do I mean by what, Maria? You are mine and so is your body!” he ascertained.
“Mine body is fucking mine and it belongs to no damn one and mind you, you cannot do what ever you wish with ‘my’ body!”
“What’re you saying? What exactly are you driving at?” he asked her with his hands resting on his waist. His full concentration war focused on her face and the way her lips moved yet no words were said.
She was getting exhausted. Her mornings were never this lousy or stressful. She was starting to think she made the wrong decision by choosing Kyros. She was starting to regret it all. Why would he want to claim possession over her body? She was starting to see hundred reasons why the relationship mightn’t work out.
“Seriously?” she asked with a raised eyebrow. She couldn’t believe he still had the gut to her her that. “I’m done talking here,” she said and as she was about to walk away from him, he held her wrist, disrupting her from leaving.
“Please, don’t leave me,” his face wore a pleading look that even Maria could not overlook.
“I own my body. I told you to stop, Kyros. You weren’t ready to listen to me. You were hurting me and you scared the living day out of me,” she rushed out the words even though, somehow to her, they didn’t conjoin.
“Come here,” she said as he gently pulled her into his embrace and she didn’t fight back.
“I’m so damn sorry for hurting you, baby. I can’t actually place what the fuck came over me. I just wanted you so bad,” he shut his eyes as she thought of how tender her boobs felt against his chest just like he had thought before now. Still, he managed a tear drop that escaped his eyes.
“I don’t ever wanna lose you, Maria. I want you to be mine till our breath ceases,” his voice was teary and Maria pulled away from the hug, just enough to see his face.
“Babeee,” she said with a pitiful look as she rubbed away his tears with her thumb. “I’m never leaving you,”
They stared deeply at each other for a while and slowly, without hesitation, he landed his lips on hers. He kissed her softly, gently and much more passionate than it was earlier. She tool his face in her palm as she slid her tongue inside his mouth, taking the lead. He parted his lips, giving way for her tongue.
They kissed deeply and intensely while Reid who was already fully dressed in the suit he had worn the previous day, watched them with pure hurt in his eyes.
He walked slowly towards them, taking his steps gently without making a sound. His face carried lots of emotions that could portray how hurt he was within him.
He cleared his throat still, they didn’t notice his presence. He made another sound and then, they pulled away shyly. They were both staring at him now and yet there was still a lingering smell of liquor around him.
He looked over at Kyros as if Maria was not present there with them.
“You would have to end me, Kyros than have me sit back while you are her!” he said curtly but softly, gritting his teeth as he spoke.
It was a like a mini battle line was drawn between them and Maria knew for a fact that she wasn’t ready to be present at the battlefield.

Two months had passed and there had not been a single day Maria ever regretted dating Kyros. It had always been tons or great events between them.
Gradually, without her notice, she was getting farther away from her life, her friends, her work and most important her family. Not even a chance with Reid was met.
She getting distant from things that were important to her. Things that were a part of her.
Maria had been living with Kyros throughout those time and she was enjoying every bits of it. While Reid had been a shadow of himself with no headstart on everything nor anything.
It was like the usual routine for her that morning. She turned and twisted generally in bed without standing. She had been sleeping well in his bed even though they hadn’t had sex, it was always a great night in his bed.
She finally opened her eyes slowly at the sound of her phone. She stretched her hand to the bedside and grabbed it. She squinted her eyes as she saw the caller who was Athina.
It had been a very long time since she heard from her.
She picked the call on the third ring and she turned to her other side of cuddle Kyros who she found out was already out of bed. A thing that within the two months she had been staying with him, had never happened. He never left the bed before her. They always get out of bed together.
“You fucking bird of a pregnant flamingo!” Athina yelled as soon as she picked and she dodged the phone away from her ear.
“Cuss words, young lady. I’ve warned you against that,” Maria replied to her sleepily.
“Don’t act like you give a shit about me nor the baby!” she yelled again.
“First thing. I don’t give a shit about you but the baby, my baby. Second thing is, you need to stop yelling! That isn’t good for the baby!”
“Fuck you! Where the hell have you been for the universe’s sake?”
“I have been neither here nor there, baby. I sure have you in mind,” Maria retorted as she sat up in bed.
“You mean you’re still in this country?” she heard Colton say in the background.
“My regards, Colton,” she said back to him instead.
“I wanna see you today, Maria. Make it happen,” Athina ascertained without waiting for her response, she ended the call.
“I really don’t know,” she still said even after the call was off.
She yawned and stretched before standing from the bed. She walked to the living room and there was no sign of Kyros.
She searched everywhere and when she was about to dial his number, she saw the door to the guest room slightly opened and as she was about to walk in with her phone still perched to her ear, she opened the door widely and almost immediately, the doorjrked from her hand and it was shut. Just in time, Kyros pulled her away from the door and pulled her to his chest.
“Baby,” he said as he hugged her tightly. Maria who was quite scared by his act shut her eyes.
“Baby,” he called again and she slowly opened her eyes, looking up at him.
She saw a look she had never seen in his eyes since they had been dating. It felt knew and it felt like a bundle of emotions were flowing within her.
“Kyros,” she called softly. “Where were you?”
