DOWN THE DRAIN.
She turned and curled herself up, enjoying the warmth in her sleep, the warmth of whatever was emitting the heat to her body.
She didn’t want to wake up just yet but she needed to because she had to be at work early. She had been lagging lately and that was not one if her attribute as she is a industrious young lady.
She stretched at her full length, yawning and groaning at the same time when her hands touched something. She wasn’t certain of what it was, whether it was rocky or soft. It just felt weird against her touch. So weird that she could quite put a definition on what it really was.
With her eyes still firmly shut, she used her hand to trace whatever it was, feeling it against her touch to define the object or subject but as soon as her hands landed on something g that felt like someone’s lips, she jerked her eyes opened.
She trailed her eyes from the chest where her head was resting, slowly up to the face to identify the owner of the body that was lying next to her.
She almost choked on her spit as she screamed with a frightening look obvious on her face. She realized who it was and it was no one other than Reid. Reid Martakis.
She jerked back from her bed, away from him and then did she realize that he was just in his brief with no shirt nor pants on.
He stretched in bed, turning to his side. He was still deep in his sleep, oblivious of whatever reality Maria was facing at the moment.
She looked at him and back at herself. Thankfully, she was still as she was when she slept the previous night.
“How on earth did I get myself in a situation as bizarre as this? How did I end up sharing the bed with him?” she rested her face in her palm, a habitual thing she does.
She tried her best to remember what had occurred the previous night. She could recall seeing him by her doorstep and that she had thought he was dead but he ended up to just be drunk which tore her apart. She remembered almost everything that happened but not when or how he ended up in bed with her.
As she was still lost in her thoughts, she heard the doorbell ring, causing her to freeze in her stance. She raised her head with fright written all over her appearance as the doorbell rang again.
She tried to be composed and think straight but was caught short when the realization of the person by the door could be Kyros. Her boyfriend.
They had just been dating for just a few days now and a lot of love-twitching between them had been more than what could be experience in a month relationship.
She hurried to the bed and tapped Reid wo was still very much fast asleep.
“Reid,” she called but he groaned in response.
The door bell sound again and as the time passes, her heart kept doing thousands of turns.
“Reid. Come on wake up!” she called again and he groaned for the thousandth time that morning. Just in time, he opened his eyes gradually, trying to catch up with the world he was awake to.
A smile formed at the corner of his eyes as he saw Maria.
“Maria,” he called softly, enjoying her view before him. He felt delighted to see her.
Maria pressed her thumb and her index finger to block her nostrils from the smell of liquor that oozed out of his mouth along with his breathe.
“Your breath reeks of…” she stopped in her sentence when her phone rang and the caller was Kyros. She sighed, cleaning her throat before picking up.
“Hey, babe. I’m by your door now but you’re not opening. Are you out this early?” he asked.
She stuttered as she was answering him, causing her to stop mid-sentence before speaking again.
“Huh, babe. I’m in. I just got up from bed. I’ll open the door now,” she managed to say before dripping the call and looking over at Reid who appeared to be confused himself.
“Where am I? How did I get here?”
“I should ask you that. Please, let me be,”
“Hold on, is this your room?” he asked as he looked around before finally looking at himself.
He tried to covet himself up with his hands and Maria shook her head before dragging her feet away from his side.
“Do not come out of this room!” she ascertained without waiting her his response before he walked away to get the door.
Reid looked around, still in confusion as to how he ended up in Maria’s apartment and in fact, on her bed.
He remembered stopping at the bar and getting a drink but that was all he could manage to remember. Nothing related to how he got to her apartment. He looked around again, raising his palm to his mouth as he breathed out and lifting his palm to his nose to inhale his breath.
“Shit!” he exclaimed before standing.
Maria opened the door, sticking her head out and there, he saw Kyros with his head rested on the wall with a shopping bag in his hand.
“Kyros,” she called before stepping out a bit to where he was standing.
“Babe,” he called back as he held her hand and they both walked back inside. When they got in, he pulled her into a very tight hug that could squeeze her lungs away but she managed to embrace him without minding the closeness.
He dropped the bag he was holding to his side as he shut his eyes at the softness of her breast that felt heavenly.
“Kyros,” she called again as she tried to pull away from the tight hug.
“I’m sorry,” he said with an awkward chuckle as he nervously rubbed his hands on his pants. Maria looked at him and then did she realize he was dressing a bit too casual for his natural kind of aesthetic.
“It’s fine,” she replied with a smile. “What’s with the casual dressing?” she asked. He looked over at himself and down at the bag before speaking.
“Oh, yeah. We’re going to the Park and here,” he said raising the shopping bag that was sitting on the floor up to her. “The dress I want you to put on,” he added with a broad smile as she checked the content.
She brought the dress out, checking it out. It was an emerald green turtleneck dress with a marching emerald pearl arranged on the neck, giving it a more elegant look that seem a little too luxurious to be a casual wear. She placed it on her body and it stopped mid thighs, revealing a huge part of her thighs.
“This looks so damn gorgeous that it feels like a crime to even put it on talk less of wearing it to a casual outing,” she said with a broad smile but still with a grimace.
“Gosh! You look so damn beautiful even in the morning when you just wake. That smile, I wanna be the only person to place it on you. I wanna be the only reason you smile that broadly, Maria,” his face was serious, conveying every emotion he has within him.
“You’re gonna make me cry,” She pouted, dabbing the corner of her eyes.
Kyros moved closer to her as he rubbed her hair and he rubbed his right thumb on her lips.
“I wonder what they’ll feel like,” he said staring intensely at her lips and she smiled nervously. She was most definitely not ready for this.
He moved closer than he was before, so that they were a few inches apart till his breath was hitting her face lightly as he looked down at her.
“You look so beautiful, Maria,” he repeated as he moved closer to her as if he was about to walk into her and slowly but steadily, she moved her feet back from him.
He had a look in his face. It was quite unexplainable but it was lustful for whatever reason she could think of.
He dropped his gaze slowly to her chest, gazing down at her breast and slowly, he raised his hand and landed them in her breasts. She opened her eyes and mouth as she was caught off guard. She looked up at him but his eyes were fixed on where his hands were.
“Kyros,”
He didn’t respond as he rashly crashed his lips against hers. He kissed her roughly, caressing her boobs roughly as well as they steadily moved backward in the process.
“Kyros, stop it. You’re hurting me,” she muffled against the rough kiss as she tried to pull his hands off her but he it seems as though he had been posted by a spirit.
“Stop it, Kyros,” she said again bit he seems too faraway to hear her.
“She said to stop! Didn’t you hear her?” Reid said as he pulled him away from her angrily.
Gradually, their Lawyer-Client relationship was going down the drain.
