Aubree ran to leave here as being released and said, “I promise to come back before mid-night.”
Everly rushed to get a cloak for Aubree who had already left soon.
Hudson Mansion was too big to walk inside; Aubree was always taking a car to leave it. Now she had to walk by herself, which made her some of exhausted.
Riley was waiting for Aubree to pick her up to the LM Bar.
There were thirty mates in their class, but two of them transferred to another school. Today all the other twenty-eight mates were here.
Someone counted the headcount and asked for opinions, “Shall we invite Hendrix Elliott and Pippa Evans? They had been with us for at least one year.”
“I know two years ago, Hendrix temporarily left school for year. Now he is one-year junior to us; I don’t advise to invite him.”
“When we arrive, we then just remember that we forget to invite them. But Pippa is too arrogant to join us today. Forget it.”
“Yes. Just leave them.”
The happy Aubree got to hear it and turned to feel disappointed. She could not hear Hendrix’s name which still made her some of heartbroken as well as what happened two years ago repeatedly occurred to her.
Riley gave a cup of juice to Aubree and said, “Are you ok? I ordered it for you.”
Aubree lowered her head and had a wry smile. But only in three seconds, she raised her head and acted as normal.
“Riley! Let’s dance?” A couple of mates came to take Riley and said, “Aubree, come to join us. All the ladies have been there. Don’t stay alone!”
Aubree was so nervous that she almost spilled her juice.
This was her first time to go to a bar. She had known nothing about it, not to mention dancing on the dance floor.
However, she had to go as the mates trying best to ask her. As soon as Aubree was in the dance floor, nobody stayed with her.
Many people were dancing here. But they all looked like a machine who appeared to be enjoying as well as dancing in almost a same style.
Aubree did not enjoy it; right now, she just felt it scary. She really liked to escape here.
Unexpectedly, someone beside Aubree was totally concentrated on dancing and hit her by accident. She was almost falling down to hit another man and stepped on him.
Aubree made an apology immediately, “It’s my bad.”
The man stopped to have a look at Aubree. He saw such a beauty! There were a lot of pretty ladies in the bar, but no one else looked so pure as her and attracted others to feel sympathetic for her. He had never met a lady as her.
He was up to no good and said, “You hit me! Just gave me an easy apology? You should give a rub on the foot you stepped on.”
Aubree originally believed she should apologize to him for her fault. She also believed, since the man knew she was also hit by the other one to step on him, he should forgive her and nicely say “It’s ok”.
On the contrary, the man was badly disgusting to her. Aubree thought there was no need to feel sorry anymore. She would not like to talk more and turned around to leave.
But the man certainly tried to get such a beauty stuck and held her arms, “Where are you going? It’s not finished.”
“Let me go!” Aubree hated anyone who touched her, especially a stranger man who was not intentionally well-behaved! She tried best to get rid of him. Now, she did not look as quiet and gentle as before, even turned to look like Sidney for a moment.
“Let you go? Tonight, I’ll take you home.” The colorful spotlight was on the ugly man’s face who was crazy to yell.
Aubree was not a kid anymore; even though being protected well by Sidney, she would face every trouble she had. Even if Sidney was not here with her, she knew she had to protect herself.
Aubree had a glance at the crowd to run away. The more people she ran to, the easier she left him.
Just now, someone else said to that man, “Hey, don’t be so mean. So much crowd here. It’s easy to do it by accident.”
But the man ignored them, just pulling Aubree and saying, “Come with me!”
As soon as Aubree was running, another man rushed out of the crowd to hit him and kick him quickly and hardly.
Then the ugly man covered his tummy and face with hands and spitted some blood.
Aubree stood behind the fighting man; he was there with his hands in the pocket. He cocked his head and looked like some hoodies, but still a cool boy who could not be ignored by others.
She saw his familiar back making her feel stunned.
She knew him.
