Everyone left the administrative office except Aubree and Teacher Murray.
“Aubree, are you really going to stay here for one night?” Teacher Murray looked at the clock without patience to stay with Aubree any longer, but Pippa’s mother called the school for a solution within today. As a result, he could not go now.
He said to Aubree, “Whatever happened, your parents should take the responsibilities.”
Just now, the door was open; Sidney came into the office. From his look and eyes, he was in great fury.
Sidney said, “I will take the responsibility.”
Teacher Murray was stunned to see him kicking the door and scared at his glowering eyes, just saying, “You…”
Aubree’s strong was melted now. She could not help crying out with much tears on her face.
She was in panic that Sidney would leave her alone for the mistake as she was abandoned by her parents before.
Sidney watched and said to her peacefully, “Let’s go home.”
Teacher Murray said, “You are Aubree’s parents? Do you know she hit another student at school? She really has good academic performance. But she should also be well-behaved. It is forbidden to fight on campus. Pippa’s mommy asked for some explanation! So, you…”
Finally, these words offended Sidney who made those around him terrified.
He was standing still under the light, saying coldly, “Nobody has received an explanation from me before!”
After home, Sidney did not talk more with Aubree and went back to his bedroom.
Aubree bit her lips hard with tears in her eyes. Now she felt too painful.
This was her first time to make such a mistake to badly annoy Sidney.
Everly Mills said, “Aubree, go to take a bath please. Tomorrow will be another day. Good night!” She was the wife of Steward, also working for Sidney. Everly was so fond of Aubree that now also worrying about her situation.
Aubree nodded and went to her bathroom.
However, she turned over and over, unable to fall asleep. It was almost two o’clock in the morning; after a while, with a Mickey Mouse doll in her arms, she was going to Sidney’s bedroom.
The light was turned off in his room. He should have been asleep now. Aubree walked quietly to his bed and uncovered the blanket to be with him.
Aubree smelt some light fragrance on Sidney which allowed her to feel at ease.
She left the Mickey Mouse doll at the bedside. Holding his arms, she lay down beside him and got some of relieved as well as smile.
Just the moment, Sidney turned over to cuddle her naturally.
Aubree did not expect this and held her breathe to avoid waking him up.
She enjoyed the time in his arms and loved his fascinating fragrance.
She tried to imagine that Sidney also loved to hold her in this way just like she holding the lovely Mickey Mouse.
In the next morning, having a sneeze, she should catch a cold for getting water on her yesterday.
When Sidney was taking a shower, Aubree did not think more, just opening the door to walk in.
She said, “Uncle Sidney, I might have a cold.” Sidney reclined in the bathtub with water vapor in the bathroom; she saw such a fit body now and here that made her some of embarrassed.
But Sidney did not look at her and stayed into water further, saying, “Get out.”
All of sudden, Aubree got some of blush. She started to realize what she was thinking about. She did not get such feeling to Sidney years ago, now why did she change a lot in her mind?
Sidney saw Aubree not move, saying impatiently, “Get out!” She could not see him, only hearing what he was ordering.
Aubree was some of emotional and left.
She believed Sidney blamed her for the fighting yesterday. So he was talking with a trouble maker just now, or he would not talk with her in this way.
In Aubree’s bedroom, she sat on the bed with chin on her knees while leaning on the bedside. Every moment when getting too sad, she would sit like this to make herself feel better.
Soon, Sidney came out of the bathroom, without saying anything to Aubree.
Aubree could not control herself to cry out and ran to give him a hug. With bursting into tears, she said, “Uncle Sidney, I am so sorry. I know my fault to fight with another student. I am sorry for you coming to solve the problem for me. Whatever, don’t leave me alone…”
