” Hey, watch what you are saying?” Vanessa was so angry that she lashed at Laura.
Ofcourse, Vanessa knew Laura from the stories Sheila told her about the lady.
The last time Vanessa heard how the woman humiliated her friend, she was so angry that she wanted to find Laura and beat the shit out of the woman.
And now, the woman dared talk rubbish to her friends again! She was going to teach her a lesson.
Knowing her friend, Sheila managed to pull Vanessa to herself. She knew that Vanessa would not hesitate to grab Laura by her hair and serve her a few slaps.
She would have been happy if that happened somewhere else but this was a charity gala, she would never allow David and Gabriel to become a laughing stock among the other businessmen.
” Ignore her. She’s not worth your time.” Sheila gently coerced Vanessa. She felt warm inside to have someone openly defend her but creating a scene would be the last thing she ever wanted.
” Ignore her! You are too kindhearted, allowing others to step on you. Just let me teach this woman a lesson!” Vanessa didn’t want to let Laura go scot free after what she said to Sheila.
It did not help that the daughters and wives of the rich business men started murmuring in low voices.
She did not have to hear what they were saying to know that they were gossiping about Sheila.
Sheila pulled Vanessa away. She did not want to have her friend make a fuss out of what happened. To her, Laura was not worth their time. The best way to deal with such people is by ignoring them.
That’s the best way to get back at them.
” You should have let me teach that bitch a lesson!” Vanessa complained, taking a glass of wine from a passing waiter and downing the contents.
” This is a public meeting, it’s improper to create a scandal.” Sheila reasoned with her.
” You are right.” Vee agreed with Sheila. ” But I swear the next time I see her, I am going to claw her face.” She spat, making Sheila smile.
” Let’s get wasted tonight!” Vanessa announced, downing another glass of wine.
” I can’t drink anything alcoholic.” Sheila politely declined remembering David’s instructions.
” What do you mean by that? It’s been a long time since we went out drinking together.” Vanessa persuaded but Sheila shook her head.
” The last time I drank, I ended up in trouble. Besides, David forbade me from taking alcohol.” Sheila answered.
How could she forget how she woke up in a man’s bed the last time she took alcohol?
Who knows whose bed she will end up to if she gets herself drunk.
Just then, a waiter delivered a glass of apple juice to Sheila.
” President Brown ordered this specially for you.” The waiter announced, presenting to Sheila a glass of juice.
Sheila happily accepted the drink before taking a sip.
Laura who was standing at a corner curled her lips into a sinister smile.
” Let’s see if David will still want you after I am done with you.” She murmured to herself before exiting the hall.
Halfway through the drink, Sheila started feeling funny. Her body suddenly turned hot and her breathing laboured.
Closing her eyes, she tried taking a deep breath, hoping that could help her feel better.
” I think I’ll head to the washroom. It suddenly feels hot here.” Sheila said with a frown.
” You don’t look better.” Vanessa observed, her brows creased together.
” Are you sure you don’t want me to accompany you?” Vanessa insisted.
” No, don’t worry. I’ll be fine.” With that, Sheila took off to the toilet.
Vanessa who was still annoyed from her earlier encounter between Laura and Sheila, she downed glass after glass of alcohol.
Since she was here, why not take advantage of the situation and have some good wine.
Inside the bathroom, Sheila quickly opened the water tap, splashing water on her face.
Her body was suddenly feeling so hot that she wanted to undress herself.
Just then, the door to the bathroom opened.
Sheila felt heavy footsteps approaching her. She abruptly turned around and was met by two burly men.
” What are you doing here?” Sheila cautiously asked, retreating back until she hit the wall with her back.
With her current situation, it was going to be hard for her to fight off the men.
Her body felt weak.
” Our boss asked us to take you to her.” One Man answered, removing a pocket knife and aiming it at her.
” Come with us or don’t blame me for being rude!” The man ordered.
Looking between the two men who were strong enough to squash her to fine juice, Sheila could only lament at her cruel fate.
” You don’t have to engage her, she’ll be out in a few seconds. The drug was strong enough to knock her out within minutes” The other man said with a grin.
Before Sheila could ask what they meant with that, her sight became blurry and the next moment she collapsed.
Twenty minutes later, Sheila tried opening her groggy eyes. She felt like her eyelashes just transformed to stones from how heavy they felt.
” You’re finally awake. I have been waiting for you to open your eyes.” A voice pulled her attention.
Turning to look at the direction of the voice, Laura was there, seated like a queen of some ancient kingdom. Besides her stood the two men whom she identified as the men who kidnapped her.
Looking around, she was inside a room and not the washroom anymore.
” What am I doing here? What did you do to me?” Sheila asked, rubbing her temples which were throbbing painfully.
” Don’t worry, I haven’t done anything to you, at least not yet.” Laura answered with a sinister smile.
Sheila had a bad feeling about her words but she struggled to keep calm.
Facing her enemy, she could not afford to show any fear.
” What do you mean by that?” She inquired, her eyes trained on Laura’s own.
” Be patient, will you? You’ll soon find out.” Laura replied sickly.
” Let me go Laura, you don’t have to do this. If David realises that I am gone, he’ll come looking for me. Do you think he’ll let you go if you harm me?” Sheila baited.
She could only hope that Laura would buy fear and let her go.
” Are you threatening me?” Laura asked, her eyes narrowing dangerously at Sheila before she burst out laughing the next moment.
Looking at her reactions, Sheila could not tell if the person before her was sane or another crazy psychopath.
“Do you think I’ll let him catch me? No sweetheart. By the time he finds you, not even a single trace of me will be lingering around. As for you, who knows if you’re so called David will want to take another look at you.” Laura spat venomously, her eyes filled with hatred and disgust.
” Why? What do you plan to do?” Sheila found herself asking. Something about Laura’s words sounded awfully wrong.
” Well how about having my boys have their way with you? I am sure they’ll enjoy fucking your brains out. That’s my gift before sending you to hell where you belong!” Laura said menacingly.
Sheila’s heart dropped to her stomach. She did not want to believe that someone as cruel as Laura still exists.
” What did I ever do to you?” Sheila found herself asking.
She never wronged Laura, so why was the woman hell-bent on ruining her?
” What did you do? Are you honestly asking me that? Then let me enlighten you ” Laura’s tone of voice was dangerously low as she pinched Sheila’s Chin roughly.
” Your whole existence is a mistake. David is my Man. Why did you think you could crawl from whatever garbage pit you came from and take him away from me? You asked for this woman!” With that, she pushed Sheila away roughly.
” Give me the drink boys!” Laura ordered and a glass filled with an amber liquid was presented to her.
” Hold her down!” Laura ordered and the men did as ordered.
Facing such strong men, Sheila had no strength to struggle.
” What’s that?” She Inquired in a trembling voice.
” Well this is my treat to you. This will make you crave for a man. You will feel so hot and horny until you lose control of yourself. I figured out that since the boys will be having the time of their life with you, I might as well spice things up.” Laura explained before laughing hysterically.
With the men holding Sheila down, the drink was forced to her mouth and down her throat.
Almost immediately, her body started heating up and a funny feeling developed at the pit of her stomach.
” Enjoy your time.” With that, Laura sauntered away, leaving a drugged Sheila at the mercy of two vagabonds.
