The following morning, Old Madam Brown woke up at dawn before instructing her chauffeur to drive her to David’s Villa.
She had to make sure with her own eyes that indeed David had a woman in his house just like Alicia reported.
It was around six in the morning when the car came to a stop at the Villa.
With the help of Jonas, her chauffeur, she stepped down and headed to the house.
The maids were already up and working to prepare breakfast for the family while others were cleaning the house.
” Old Madam!” Nancy, one of the maids who spotted the Lady first greeted.
She was elated to see the old Madam so early in the morning. Ofcourse, she could already tell why the old Madam was here.
Having heard Alicia gossip with Aunt Meng about informing her grandmother about the new woman in the house, she was happy that someone was finally here to put that poor bitch into her place.
Nancy arrived at the Brown Villa three years ago, immediately after the death of Sandra, the late Mistress of the house.
Actually, it was not a coincidence she was here, it was Laura who planted her here as a spy.
She impersonated the real Lucia and managed to get inside the house with the help of Laura.
Over the last three years, she has been informing Laura about everything happening in the house.
At first, she accepted the offer because of the double payment she would get but as time went by, she grew greedy and started having designs on David.
Seeing David bring home a lowlife, she was unhappy and had been looking for ways to get rid of Sheila.
” Where is Meng?” Old Madam asked, going straight to the point.
She wanted the old lady to inform her why nobody told her about her new granddaughter-in-law.
Before Nancy could say anything, Aunt Meng emerged from the kitchen.
” There you are traitor!” The old lady accused upon laying her eyes on Aunt Meng who smiled widely at her.
” Such a good way of greeting your old friend Leticia.” Aunt Meng replied, beaming at old Madam Brown.
” I don’t have a friend like you. Do you know how stupid I feel right now being the last person to know that my grandson has a woman in his house?” The old lady reprimanded but still moved to hug Aunt Meng.
The two ladies were close, you could tell from the interaction between them.
” Now, now old woman. It’s too early to have you mad or do you want your salt to shoot up?” Aunt Meng asked, grinning mischievously at the old Madam.
Old Madam Brown glared at the other lady who seemed unfazed by her fake anger.
” Tell me Meng, how is my granddaughter in-law?” Jokes aside, the old madam inquired.
Aunt Meng scratched her head nervously.
She didn’t know if the old Madam would be fine with what she was going to tell her.
” Don’t just sit there quietly, say something!” The old lady urged.
She knew that if she wanted an honest opinion about her granddaughter in-law, Meng would be the person to enlighten her.
” She is good.” Aunt Meng finally opened her mouth to say.
” Just good?” A frown sat on the old lady’s wrinkled face.
” Look here Leticia, I will be honest with you. The young miss is lovely and loving. I can see she honestly loves the young master. She is the woman for him. After three years, this house is finally happy and Young master and little Miss can finally smile like normal people. The young miss likes the lady, infact, they look more like mother and daughter and not people who met recently. She personally takes care of Lily but…”
” But what Meng?” The old Madam anxiously asked.
Looking at her friend who is more like a sister than her boss, Aunt Meng could only sigh heavily.
” She is not from a well off family. Actually, she doesn’t have a family.” Aunt Meng finally said the words weighing her down.
Old Madam Brown said nothing. She had a frown on her face.
” Look here Leticia, I know the Brown family has its standards for a daughter-in-law but, can you give her a chance, she’s a good girl.” Aunt Meng pleaded.
The Brown family being a prestigious family would not accept just anybody for a daughter-in-law.
Aunt Meng knew that in terms of status, the young miss would never qualify to be with the Young master but having seen the change she brought in the house ever since she arrived, Aunt Meng hoped that the two could end up together.
” What are you saying, Meng? I don’t have a problem with her background. As long as my grandson and Lily are happy, I don’t care. Afterall, we can’t choose where to be born.” Old Madam Brown said standing up.
” Show me to her room, I’ll go see her.” With conviction, the old lady said.
She trusted Aunt Meng’s words but she wanted to see the lady in person.
” Isn’t it too early? The young miss is still asleep.”
” I will not disturb her sleep, I just need to see her.” The old Madam countered.
She would not be able to wait until the lady woke up.
She would be discreet about her visit, just peek at the lady, that’s all. She convinced herself.
” The room opposite the young master’s.” Aunt Meng directed and with that, old Madam Brown headed upstairs.
She knew that if her grandson knew about her sneak visit, he would be displeased or even stop her so she made sure to walk quietly.
Arriving at the designated room, the old Madam twisted the doorknob and pushed the door open.
She was glad that the door was not locked, saving her the hassle of going downstairs to ask for keys.
Stepping Inside, she approached the bed slowly, afraid that one wrong step and the lady would wake up.
She did not want to pass as a creepy stalker to her future granddaughter.
The old lady was two steps away when she finally caught sight of the two bodies entangled in bed.
She stilled, her handbag slipping past her fingers and landing on the ground with a thud.
The noise from the fallen bag was enough to awoke the two lovers snuggling with each other.
David was the first to sit up followed by Sheila who almost shouted if it wasn’t for David’s calm demeanour as he regarded the intruder in her room.
Sheila watched as the old lady smiled nervously at them.
” I was just passing by. Yes, passing by.” With that, she picked her handbag, smiled at Sheila and walked out.
The room fell into silence after the woman walked out.
With a deep sigh, David’s laid back in bed, pulling Sheila with him.
” What was that about?” Sheila was still confused about what had just happened.
” That’s my grandmother. Alicia must have gone running her mouth to her and the old lady decided to visit.” David explained.
Sheila said nothing but she did not feel good about the whole thing.
Not because she was caught in bed with David but she had heard that David’s grandmother had chosen another woman for David.
What if she does not like her and forces David to break up with her?
She was not from a rich family after all, something that was considered in high society marriages.
” Go back to sleep. Don’t think about it ” David said but how could Sheila sleep knowing that there is a possibility her relationship with David would be coming to an end?
That thought was enough to ignite fear in her heart.
Lifting herself up, she straddled David, her legs going to both sides of his hips.
David was taken aback by her actions before smiling.
” What’s the matter? Do you want us to play?” He asked in his deep husky voice.
Without saying a word, Sheila slammed her lips to his.
She started suckling and nibbling his bottom lip clumsily.
Even after David kissed her severally, she still had not mastered the art of kissing.
David felt aroused by her actions and his junior brother stirred to life.
He did not know what made his little woman start to kiss him but he would not deny that he liked it.
He kissed her back but halted when he felt something warm land on his cheeks.
