After breakfast, David left for the company after Jordan, his personal secretary picked him up.
He pulled Sheila outside, shamelessly demanding for goodbye kisses.
” Lily might see us.” Sheila complained cutely.
” She is my daughter and you are my woman, what’s wrong with her seeing us kissing?” David shamelessly asked.
If Alicia wanted to go report him to his grandmother, he might as well give her as much gossip as possible.
David was damn sure that Alicia must have pulled Lily to peek at them.
Without warning, he pulled Sheila into his arms. She was impossibly close such that she could feel his heartbeat.
David claimed her lips in a slow but passionate kiss. He nibbled and sucked her lips to his satisfaction.
He smiled when he felt her try to kiss him back.
He pulled away, caressing her lower lip with his thumb Making Sheila gasp.
” Don’t forget to miss me.” He winked at her before walking away like nothing transpired between them.
Jordan who was seated at the driver seat could not control the blush that crept on his face.
He did not expect his president to be such a romantic.
After the car disappeared, Sheila turned to go back only to jump in fright.
Two creatures had miraculously arrived behind her without knowing.
The two mischievous bunnies were grinning from ear to ear.
” How sweet! I’m so jealous!” Alicia fanned making Sheila roll her eyes at her antics.
Without saying a word, Sheila stomped away. She was not annoyed by them, she was just embarrassed that the two had just witnessed David kissing her.
Her cheeks burned when she remembered how David kissed her so gently and sweetly.
” Come on now sister-in-law, don’t be embarrassed.” Alicia called out, making Sheila hasten her steps.
The whole day was spent playing different games.
The three Ladies cooked together, cleaned their rooms and went playing outside afterwards.
When evening came, Alicia left for her grandmother’s house.
She could not bear to go through the night without bragging about being the first one to see David’s girlfriend to her grandmother.
She arrived at her grandmother’s house just in time to find her ready for supper.
” Granny, I’m home!” Alicia announced and the grin that broke on the old lady’s face told her that her grandmother was pleased to see her.
” Look who decided to visit at last?” The woman smiled at the young lady before moving to hug her.
” Don’t exaggerate Granny, I was here last month.” Alicia replied, making the old lady to glare at her.
” And a month is one day huh?” She asked.
” You are staying in the city yet you don’t visit frequently?” Old Madam Brown asked.
She had offered her dear granddaughter to stay with her while she takes her college courses but Alicia was indignant about it.
She claimed that she wanted to be Independent and the first step to Independence according to her was moving out of her comfort zone.
She didn’t disagree with her dear granddaughter, she just hoped to have her company.
The brown family Mansion was getting empty and too silent for her liking.
She was only blessed with two children, a daughter and a son.
Her son together with his wife succumbed in a road accident, leaving a young David who she single handedly raised.
Her daughter got married to country B and lived there with her husband who is now Alicia’s father.
When David married his late wife, they left the mansion and bought a villa.
Now he was all alone in the big house with only servants and maids to keep him company.
” Hush now granny, don’t be mad. I have good news for you and I am sure you are going to love it.” Alicia announced happily, making the old lady’s eyes widen with surprise.
” What? You are pregnant already?” The old lady asked, excitement and anticipation painted on her aged face.
Alicia had a frown on her face upon hearing her grandmother’s words.
” What pregnancy?” She scowled.
” Anyway I will ignore your comment because I have juicy gossip for you.” Alicia said, her jovial tone back on her voice.
” What is it?” The impatience could be clearly heard in the old lady’s voice.
” Guess what? David has a girlfriend!” Alicia announced, a huge smile dancing on her lips.
” Really? So he finally agreed to date Laura? She’s a good girl and her father was here to discuss their marriage. I did not know she would convince him to marry her without my intervention.” The old lady blabbed about until he saw the angry expression on her granddaughter’s face.
Alicia seemed like she was ready to kill someone and the old lady feared that her last day was finally approaching ( hehehe, just kidding)
” Did I hear you right grandmother? Are you still hoping that two faced bitch will marry my cousin?” Alicia’s voice was dripping with hate and disgust.
” Mind your language young lady!” The old Madam warned but that did not reach Alicia’s ears.
” You better make sure that those words you just said don’t reach David’s ears. You don’t want to have a problem with your grandson.” Alicia warned, making the old lady swallow hard.
For some reason, both her grandchildren hated Laura. She could not tell why because to her, Laura was the sweetest and understanding young lady she had ever seen.
” Don’t let David hear you mention that bitch’s name, especially not when he finally got a woman to be with.” With that, Alicia walked away.
She was in no mood to chat with her granny anymore, not when Laura’s name just came out of the old lady’s mouth.
Alicia hated Laura to the bones. She was one pretentious bitch, acting all sweet infront of David and her grandmother then unveiling her evil and dark heart when away.
Alicia could still remember how Laura took a liking to her pet dog and because Alicia refused to give it to her, she poisoned it to death.
She could still remember how she cried when her beloved pet dog died.
With such a dark soul, how could she allow such a woman to be married to her cousin?
Good thing David seemed to see through the disguise otherwise she would be forced to unveil her facade.
Old Madam who was left alone at the dining table could only shake her head.
” I just want my Lily to have a good mother. Why is that so hard for them to understand?” She lamented but nobody was there to listen to her.
After she finished her supper, which she barely touched, she headed to her room with the plans of visiting her grandson’s house.
She had to see for herself that girl that had gained approval of Alicia so easily.
She never thought that her grandson would finally bring a woman home.
He also had to know why she’s the last person to hear about the good news.
As long as the woman was good to both David and Lilian, she would not object to their marriage.
With that decision in mind, she turned off the lamp on her bedside table and covered herself.
When tomorrow comes, she would be the first to wake up and embrace a new dawn.
