Saturday morning came. The date was set at around noon.
Sheila tried gathering her courage to tell David about the date with Fred but she couldn’t.
He had been gone for almost a week and not for a single day did he give her a call.
He would call and talk to Lily from time to time but he never asked anything about her.
His behaviour pissed her off but being new to relationships, she ignored it.
Maybe he’s busy or in a meeting. She tried convincing herself.
Dressing up for the day, she walked down stairs and found Lily already waiting for her.
She had earlier Informed Lily that she would be out but can’t bring her along.
Lily being the little obedient devil she readily agreed.
Although worried, she decided to trust her beautiful sister. She was almost sure that her beautiful sister would never choose that boy over her father.
Ofcourse Lily decided to keep that information from her father. She had been having the days of her life with her beautiful sister without her father disturbing them.
Lily figured out the more clueless her father remained about the date, the better he won’t come back, rushing and ruining her fun.
” I’ll be out but will come back soon. Be a good girl and I will reward you.” Sheila said, sending a subtle wink to Lily who giggled happily.
Sheila had noticed that the little girl was a devil.
Surprisingly, with her, Lily was the prim and proper child.
She obeyed her and would never throw tantrums at her.
Sometimes she would Wonder if there are two versions of Lily. One was the Lily around her and the devil around the maids and other servants in the Brown Villa.
What do they call that condition again?
well nevermind, that’s the interpretation Sheila could give to Lily’s personality.
” Will you tell me a nighttime story?” Lily asked, her voice full of enthusiasm.
She had loathed listening to bedtime stories as a child but something about how her beautiful sister told them made her Love them.
Now she was addicted and wouldn’t sleep without her beautiful sister telling her a story.
” I always do that.” Sheila reminded her. That has been the routine ever since she told Lily a bedtime story.
She had heard from others in the Villa that Lily never liked listening to such stories, calling them silly and childish.
Yet here she was bargaining for a night of a story.
” Yeah but you can tell me two to compensate.” Lily argued, finding the idea a good one.
It’s not the story that fascinates her and makes her want to listen more. It’s all about Sheila’s sweet voice.
Only her voice was enough to lull her to sleep.
” Okay then it’s a deal.” Sheila agreed
Kissing both Lily’s cheeks before tickling her, she made her way out of the house smiling.
She might have been idle in the house without any work, but keeping Lily company was something she enjoyed.
The little one was adorable and fun to be with.
Sheila took a taxi to the agreed meeting place with Fred.
She didn’t want Fred getting to know her current location so she instructed him to meet her in the city.
Getting off the taxi, Sheila easily spotted the red Ferrari that belonged to Fred. It wasn’t hard locating it since it was parked in a conspicuous place across the road.
Sheila made her way to the guy who was waving her with a huge smile on her face.
The afternoon sun reflected on his face and the boyish smile he had on his face added to the charm.
If it was some time back, Sheila would gush at how handsome the young man was. But after meeting with David, everything changed.
The more she continued comparing the two men, the more distinct the differences were.
While Fred had a boyish charm, David had an Aura of dominance and oozed maturity.
Ofcourse it was expected. David was in his early thirties while Fred was merely twenty five years old.
Sheila forced a smile off her lips as she greeted Fred back.
Hugging him softly, she immediately pulled away, not feeling comfortable in another man’s embrace.
‘ David’s hugs are better.’ Sheila mumbled Inwardly but immediately shook her head to clear those thoughts.
She was here on a date with Fred so she ought to stop thinking about another Man.
” I have been wanting to take you to this place. Now this is the perfect time.” Fred said, his eyes searching Sheila’s as his eyes couldn’t hide the passion behind those black orbs.
Sheila’s heart picked its pace.
She could tell that things with Fred were really going the wrong way. She figured out it would be better if she just confessed and ended the matter.
She didn’t want to hurt Fred but she couldn’t just watch as he continued to build his Hope’s up.
She already had David and Honestly, she was starting to catch feelings for the man.
Her gut feeling told her that David was bad news and she should probably stay away from him but she found it hard to.
She was attracted to him the same way a moth is attracted to light.
The warning bells in her head told her that David was not good for her sanity but she wouldn’t listen to her gut feeling.
According to the voice in her head, Fred was a lesser Devil compared to David. She should just break up with David and give Fred a chance, but the heart wants what it wants.
Her mind was willing to let go but her heart was reluctant.
” A place? what place?” Sheila asked with curiosity.. What place could he have always wanted to take her?.
He never mentioned anything about this so-called place.
” Yeah, a place. Don’t worry, I promise that you will love it.” Fred assured, a smile gracing his lips.
Leading Sheila to the car and buckling her seat belt, Fred circled the other side of the car, got in before driving away.
