Book:My beautiful seductress Published:2024-6-4

” Oh well it’s good that you didn’t. She travelled to country B and doesn’t know when she will be back.” She tried changing the topic, hoping to stray the topic of discussion from her.
Having a boyfriend, she didn’t like the Idea of talking about such Intimate topics with her childhood friend.
It would sound awkward to both of them.
The two girls finally left the cafe with Fred offering to drive them which Sheila declined.
All the time while pretending to play with her iPad, Lily had recorded all the conversation and sent it to her father.
She knew about her father’s worry from earlier knowing that her beautiful sister will meet a male friend.
To ease her father’s worries, she decided to tag along, something that gave the man a little comfort.
With the recording proving that her beautiful sister wasn’t planning on abandoning them, she hoped that her father would be at ease.
One would think that she wasn’t fond of him with how much she was always against him, but the relationship between father and daughter was unbreakable.
Her father has always been the person who Loved and cared for her the most. He was the favourite person in her life, well apart from her beautiful sister.
On their way back to the house, Sheila used afew of the dollars David had left in her apartment and got the three of them ice cream.
Lily was so happy that she was grinning from ear to ear.
With her father, she gets to eat only the healthy foods. Her father would limit her snacks and junk food, always claiming that it was bad for her health.
Her beautiful sister was the opposite of her father. She allowed her to eat anything she wanted as long as it was in small amounts.
That alone was enough to satisfy her.
” Beautiful sister, does your friend have a girlfriend?” Lily decided to approach the topic..
Call her paranoid but she just wanted to make sure that everything was fine and nobody would be stealing her away.
Sheila smiled gently at Lily, finding the little one too adorable when curious.
With how her nose scrunched up like a rabbit’s, Sheila fought the urge to pull her nose.
” I don’t know but I think so. He’s handsome and I am sure many girls would be interested in him.” Sheila replied honestly.
She had guessed that Fred should already have a girlfriend after spending years abroad.
The girls from the West were known to be outspoken, not as reserved as the one’s from the east, especially in country A.
With his handsome features, it wouldn’t surprise her if girls were fighting for a chance with him.
Thinking about Fred having a girlfriend actually made her happy, it would be fine if everyone in their group could have a soul partner, especially Vee, the broken but strong vase.
If it was before, a question like that would have made her sour since she still believed to be in love with Fred but after meeting David and interacting with him, she got to know how it feels to like and Love someone.
The answer that Lily got was not what she wanted to hear. It would be best if that young man already has a girlfriend. That way, she doesn’t have to keep worrying about her beautiful sister leaving them behind every time she meets with that boy.
” I see.” Not wanting to press any longer, Lily dropped the subject.
She will just have to keep an eagle eye on that boy and make sure nothing goes wrong in the meantime.
The two arrived back in the house in the afternoon.
After lunch, Lily went to take a nap while Sheila walked to her room.
She was bored with nothing to do so she retrieved her old drawing book and started designing.
Actually, Sheila was a jewel designer or at least that’s where her passion lay.
All her life, she wanted to become a designer and design beautiful pieces of jewellery.
Her dream was to one day own a jewel company.
Her parents acknowledged her passion and supported her but they still insisted she take a business course in the university.
Without the funds to start a company, they feared that their daughter’s dream would never be accomplished.
A business course at the University would land her a nice job in one of the prestigious companies in the city.
If that happens, with her good salary, she would be able to save up and start even a small shop for her designs.
Sheila had countless designs but she had three of her designs that she held special.
It was her first of three creations.
Her senior at the University had expressed his intentions to buy the designs from her but she refused.
That’s because they had a special meaning to her heart.
Caressing the three designs, she couldn’t help but think back to her biological parents.
Did she inherit designing skills From her parents or was it something inborn?
That was a mystery she couldn’t solve.
Her biological parents!
She knew nothing about them. Actually, Sheila knew nothing about her parentage.
She often wondered how she ended up in the orphanage where she had stayed until Mr and Mrs Masons adopted her.
Did they deliberately throw her away or was she by chance separated from them?
If she was lost, were they still looking for her or did they forget all about her?
Although these thoughts would flood her mind, the desire to get the answers building in her, she never for once thought about looking for them.
With her adoptive parents, she never felt the need to. After their death, she concentrated on staying alive.
She knew absolutely nothing about her roots. Her adoptive parents told her that the orphanage mother superior and the others found her outside the gate one morning.
She had nothing to indicate her roots so they took her in, taking care of her until she was adopted.
Even now, she didn’t have the intention of looking for them.
It would be hard and close to impossible without knowing where to even start.
Sheila spent the whole evening cooped up in her room designing.
Five days passed and David was yet not back.
Yesterday, Fred had called her, asking her out and she agreed.
They had been talking and Sheila could tell that something was different about how he was talking to her and she wasn’t liking it.
She wanted to tell David about it but she didn’t have the courage to give him a call.
