” Daddy, see that bad Lady there, she pushed my beautiful sister.” Lily complained to her father, as fast tears streamed down her cheeks. Looking at her, you would believe everything are said, David did too. His daughter was not someone fond of crying. Actually, she rarely cried so seeing her sobbing so pitifully, his heart raged.
” It’s okay princess, Daddy is here now.” He said wiping her tears before walking to Sheila’s side and helping her up.
She didn’t refuse his help. She looked defeated, as if the whole world was weighing down on her shoulders.
Although her smiling face was covered with streaks of tears and snot, that did not hinder her beauty, on the contrary, she looked even more alluring.
Her pitiful self would ignite the protective instinct of a man and David was no exception. He felt the need to embrace her, comfort her and assure her that things will be alright. That she needn’t not worry, he would take care of her if she allowed him to.
Before he could control his urges, he found himself hugging her… tightly.
She felt so good in his arms and he felt like she belonged there, right in his arms.
Sheila felt the sudden urge to cry out. It’s been three years and life hasn’t been any simple to her. She felt so exhausted that if she was an animal, she would prefer to go on hibernation until the storm passed. Maybe waking up two years later, things would be different but who was safe kidding, that was not possible.
Feeling his warmth engulf her, Sheila bawled out. She wanted to just stay in his warm embrace, she felt safe in his hands. She was surprised by her train of thoughts, wondering what was happening with her but she didn’t care at this point. All she wanted to do was cry her lungs out. She wanted to pour out her frustrations, her grievances, her difficulties in the past three years.
Minutes later, his slow back rubs brought her back to reality. She realized what she had done. She had just cried herself in a stranger’s arms. How embarrassing.
Her cheeks turned beet red. She slowly separated herself from his arms while her face remained lowered. She didn’t dare raising her face to meet his gaze. She could see the large wet patch left behind from the aftermaths of her emotional breakdown.
‘ How could you be so careless.’ She reprimanded herself.
” Sorry about that, I couldn’t control myself.” She muttered apologetically.
Although dissapointed that she Left his embrace so soon was still lingering, David forced himself to smile back at her.
” It’s okay. You needed it.” He was very understanding, something that shocked his secretary who had accompanied him back and the bodyguards.
Their president was known to be very cold to women. He never associated himself with daughter’s of Jezebel and kept his distance from them. At times, he would bring a woman home but that was purposely to seek his daughters opinion about her.
Everyone around him knew that the reason he tolerated them was because he wanted a mother for his daughter who was yearning for one.
It was no secret that his secretary did the research and introduced to him eligible ladies. He didn’t have time.
So seeing their president hug a random woman and allow her to cry in his arms was surprising.
Stephen, David’s secretary almost stumbled and fell down when he saw the scene infront of him. He couldn’t believe it. He almost thought that this was no longer his ice cold president but an imposter posing as the president.
” How much do you owe her.” Turning to the landlady, David’s Cold v ruthlessly jolted the woman back to reality. His gaze was piercing as if trying to see through he soul. She almost stumbled meeting his angry gaze but supressed the fear and answered,” Hundred dollars.”
Without saying anything, David just cast his glance at his secretary. After a minute, David received a cheque which he signed before throwing it at the woman’s face.
Sheila felt ashamed that she had to receive help from a total stranger but nevertheless, she was grateful for his help.
” Thank you.” She uttered softly, gratitude lacing her words.
” It’s okay, you took care of my daughter. It’s the least I could do for you. What do you plan to do now?” He asked that question purposely. He could tell she didn’t Know what to do next and he was planning to use her helplessness for his advantage. Soon enough, she’ll be trapped with him forever.
” How about you come live with us beautiful sister?” Lily was fast to breach the topic. Her father was trying to trap her, but she opted to make the invitation First. That way, it would be hard for her beautiful sister to say no to her.
” No, I can’t trouble you further.” She might be poor but would never take advantage of others so she declined politely.
” Beautiful sister, don’t you want to play with me anymore? Don’t you Love me anymore?” Lily asked while blinking her eyes to control the tears that were gleaming and ready to fall.
Sheila panicked, that wasn’t what are implied with her words.
“No, I didn’t mean that baby. Ofcourse I want to play with you in the future but I can’t just come to your house like that. It’s inappropriate.” She defended herself, not wanting the little girl to misunderstand her.
” How about you come and work for me?” David found himself saying before he could control himself. He couldn’t allow her to escape his clutches.
” Really? You’ll give me a job?” Sheila was so happy she almost jumped up and down.
” But what kind of a job will you give me?” She wondered out loud.
” Any job according to your qualifications.” David answered. He had investigated her and got to know she was an excellent student and had graduated with a first honours in business administration and management. She could earn herself a job in Brown cooperation with him pulling alittle strings because the company only preferred experienced staff.
The two finally came to an agreement. Sheila would be living in the Brown Villa for the time being until a suitable job was found for her.
With the help of the bodyguards, her belongings were packed and the convoy soon Left the neighborhood for the Brown Villa. Lily was the happiest among them all, she could get to spend time with her beautiful sister anytime she wanted
David on the other hand was rejoicing Inwardly. One step accomplished. All he needed to do now is convince her to be with him. He couldn’t wait to have her petite body in his arms again.
The drive to the Villa was peaceful, with Sheila and Lily making little conversations.
Lily was kneen on learning what her beautiful sister liked, from foods to sports.
She was proud after learning that her beautiful sister was a black belt in taekwondo.
David was surprised by the revelation too. Looking at her, you would mistake her as a weakling but who could have thought she was so good at combat. He was impressed.
