” Yeah beautiful sister, I missed you.” Not wanting to strip her father’s dignity by ratting him out, Lily agreed. Blinking her eyes innocently.
” Awwn ain’t you a sweet little one?” Sheila questioned pinching Lily’s adorable cheeks. At this point, she could clearly tell that her hobby had surely changed to pinching those cheeks.
” Can I come in?” Lily asked and Sheila side stepped to allow her to enter. The driver then just arrived with the food bags.
” Lily insisted on bringing these for you.” David said. Although he was dissapointed for not being welcomed inside, he controlled his displeasure and said, smiling briefly at her. He couldn’t deny that she was alluring with that after sleep look. He didn’t Know how a woman could be this beautiful without any make-up on.
Sheila accepted the bags and after David informed her that two bodyguards will be left behind purposely for Lily’s safety, he left with his driver.
He wanted her to invite him in her house and was slightly dissapointed when she didn’t.
‘ Did she not like him?’ He couldn’t help but wonder. He was a person who was less interactive with others. He had only attended business meeting so his experience was limited to official meetings. It was also the first time he took a liking to a lady and wanted to pursue her. so he was on a crossroad on how to treat her or interpret her actions.
” Peter, what does it mean when a Lady doesn’t invite you to her house?” He couldn’t control his curiosity and found himself asking his driver after they left the residence.
Peter who was asked that question was confused. He didn’t understand how to go ahead and answer his boss’s question.
” It depends on the relationship you have with this lady.” Peter chose to play safe.
David pondered on the answer he got from his driver.
Relationship?
Was there any relationship between the two of them? Definitely not?
” What if the man is interested in the lady?” He asked yet again.
” Does the lady know?” Peter shot another question.
” No.” David answered. She definitely didn’t know about his intentions of possessing her soul and body.
” Then it’s not a big deal. The lady may feel like it’s not necessary to invite a stranger to her house.” Peter was fast to give his opinion about the whole matter
“Stranger? How can I be a stranger. We met yesterday.” David mumbled.
” Huh?” Peter didn’t get to hear what his boss said.” Forget it.” David immediately dismissed the topic. With the answers he was getting so far, he might end up getting pissed off. He didn’t want to be in a bad mood today, not after seeing his future Mrs Brown.
David spent the day working non-stop but the image of that beautiful petite woman would invade his mind, disrupting his work from time to time. He was constantly thinking about that little woman he met yesterday. Something about her was pulling him with force towards her. She was an innocent little Lamb, and the desire to taint her soul was growing in him.
Back at Sheila’s place. Lily was secretly doing her research on her beautiful sister. Sge had all the qualification needed for her future Mother, but she still wanted to know if a relationship between her beautiful sister and father could last.
” Beautiful sister, do you have a boyfriend?” Lily asked puzzling Sheila why a little girl will be asking her such a question. Nevertheless, she answered honestly.
” I don’t have a boyfriend.” Although Lily was rejoicing Inwardly, she still asked puzzled,”why?”
Sheila pondered on that question. Why didn’t she have a boyfriend? Over the years, countless men had showed their interest in her but she would simply brush them off or reject them mercilessly.
She was simply busy and had no time for relationships but who was safe kidding, that was just an excuse.
Truth was no man ever caught her eye. Everytime she heard the word boyfriend being mentioned, a certain figure would raid her mind.
” I think nobody has caught my attention so far.” She replied.
” What kind of a guy do you like beautiful sister?” The personal interview continued.
” I like a responsible man, a family Man. He should be goodlooking and caring, most importantly he should be humble, Rich or not.” She replied, listing all the characters a certain figure had, or atleast that’s what she thought as of now.
‘ I think my daddy has a chance.’ Lily rejoiced inwardly. Everything her beautiful sister mentioned was a perfect description of her father.
” Then what do you think about my father?” She finally brought up the main topic here.
Sheila did not think much to her question. She took it as a casual question. Afterall, she knew that Lily was from a well to do family. There’s no way she could ever dream of marrying someone like her father.
” Your father is fine. He appears to be caring and a gentleman.” She stated what she thought about the man she saw yesterday.
She had to admit that the guy was hot. He was a walking temptation.
The two were just talking when Sheila heard the voice she dreaded the Most . Spending time with the little girl, she had forgotten about the landlady’s words.
” Hey little girl, where is my money?” The Lady shouted not in the least caring about lowering her voice.
” Stay here, I’ll be back.” Sheila Instructed as she walked to the door to meet the woman.
” Hi?” She greeted timidly only to receive a glare from the Lady.
” I don’t need your greetings, where is my money?” Sheila could tell the lady was pissed. She inwardly prayed not to be kicked out today, not infront of the little girl. That would be embarrassing.
” Can you give me a few more days, I’ll pay up with discount.” Sheila negotiated. Apart from the few dollars Left behind by the man yesterday, she didn’t have a single penny with her. Ofcourse, she wasn’t going to pay up the little she had and be left with nothing. Especially if that did not guarantee that she wouldn’t be kicked out even after paying up.
” Give you more days? That’s the song you since everyday. Do you expect me to dance to that? We already agreed yesterday if you don’t pay, you get the hell of our my house.” The lady retorted.
” Please, give me just a few more days.” Sheila begged. She didn’t Know where to go if kicked away.
” I said I don’t run charity here, now get out.” The lady yelled and dragged Sheila out if the house before pushing her rashly. Sheila who wasn’t anticipating that move lay down, butt first.
” Hey you meanie, why did you push my beautiful sister. If she gets hurt, I won’t let you off.”A childish voice, Cold and full of authority was heard ass beautiful doll rushed to Sheila’s side, helping her up before turning to glare at the land lady.
The woman was taken aback upon hearing the little ones voice. After assessing her, she could clearly tell that she was from a rich family. She couldn’t afford to offend her lest her parents turn out to be influential people in the society. That would be suicidal to her.
” Little girl, stay away from this. I am here to collect my money and leave.” The landlady replied, her voice not as harsh as earlier.
” That doesn’t give you the right to hurt her.” Lily stood her ground. She took it upon herself to protect her beautiful sister. She couldn’t allow just anybody to hurt her.
Ignoring the little girls words, the woman instructed the boys she came with to throw everything that belonged to Sheila outside.
Sheila felt helpless. She felt hopeless. She could help but let the tears that strewn her face, unchecked.
She felt tired. Tired of living like this, hoping things would get better. She was tired of life.
” What’s going on here?” A deep, husky voice resonated making everybody to halt in their tracks and turn to look at the owner. The voice was cold, deep and authoritative.
David had been distracted thinking about Sheila that he finally gave up and asked his driver to drive him here. He didn’t expect to see what was happening before him.
When Lily saw her father, she rushed to him. Sobbing hard as if someone just bullied her.
