“How did you kids get here?” I slowly release the werewolf from my grip while Jack requests that I get the door open.
I rush to the door and after they run inside, I pull them into a comfortable hug.
“You poor kids, where were you and how did you escape?” I ask, my voice laced with care.
“That’s for some other time.” Jack says, “but why would you stab a wolf in this pack with wolfsbane or with silver sprinkles? What could he have done?”
“That’s for some other time as well,” I reply and he sighs before having his seat, “what about mum? Where’s Nora?”
“She’ll soon be here. She got missing, I think,” I reply him vaguely as I stand in front of the werewolf.
“Should we agree on how the pack should treat you if you dare expose any of our secrets?” I ask.
“I don’t really care about that. You almost killed me.” He replies.
“Shut up. He’s the Alpha. I saved you. Didn’t I?” Jack says, sounding pompous.
“I guess I’ll just take my leave.” He says but I block him from going immediately.
“Let’s agree or I’ll kill you right here.”
“Okay. The leader of the pack can kill me if any other person hears about his wicked acts to ladies in the pack,” he says and I chuckle inwardly, though it isn’t sincere.
I permit him to leave and I’m sure he’s heading straight to the pack healer. I’ve got spies all around him to watch out for him if he ever reveals the secret of almost murdering three female wolves. Harley. Amanda. Nora.
“I perceive mum’s around.” Jack suddenly says after the werewolf has left, “isn’t this Amanda in bed? Ain’t that Harley? That’s mum right there! Alex, why did you place them in the darkest corners of the room?”
As he runs towards the direction, I really hope they would have stopped bleeding totally. I hope their wolves would have perfected their healing and I would just have to cook a lie as to why I placed them there.
“We went to hunt down some wild wolves and they kinda got hurt. So after the pack healer treated them, they were fine again. Do you get me?” I ask, and Jack chuckles as he stares back at me, “you weren’t hurt as well?”
“I’m an Alpha. My wolf completes my healing on time. x
“But, according to the rules in the work kingdom, if a rogue hurts you, it would never require a pack healer to treat you because they don’t hurt deeply.”
“Well, theirs is an exception.” I retort, “don’t disturb them. Let me get up and I’d inform her you’re here.”
Jack scoffs, “you can only inform someone about my presence when I’m not close to such. I’m right here and would need you to inform her first? Is that a protocol?” He said and slips a bottle of water out of his backpack as he sprinkles it at Nora.
“You aren’t bothered about others, are you?” I ask, my arms folded as I sight Jake experimenting on something around the area where I held the werewolf to the wall, almost reducing him to a human with the potent wolfsbane and silver sprinkles.
“Nora is my mum. Others can go to hell.” He says.
“Amanda saved me from the everlasting prison.”
“Isn’t she the same person that led you there?” Jack scoffs again as Nora jerks to reverie.
Amanda also jerks to her reverie but not Harley. I stoop low to check up on Harley if there’s a way I can escape from the room with her. I wouldn’t let her reveal that I had sex with her just because I don’t want her in the room for now.
“Harley, can I see you for a minute?” I request but she impolitely declines by staring wickedly at me. Jack’s attention is diverted and he fixes a tight gaze at Harley.
“What a small child trying to control an adult like me.” She says and sits up in bed, “I can’t wait for you to be old enough to fuck me just like your dad did.”
As soon as she said that, I shift my gaze away from the scene and pretend to be intentionally staring at some particular directions. Jack doesn’t believe what he heard and I begin to think of the best lie I can cook within seconds.
When he walks to my front, I chuckle a bit and whisper into his ears, “it’s Harley. She’s the Top Pack Slut for Dominic’s pack, here I mean. She’s not my friend. She was referring to Dominic. You know he’s your uncle, not dad, but she doesn’t know.”
Jack replies a bit too loudly, “then let me inform her she was talking about my uncle and not my real dad.”
“Don’t worry, Jack. I’ve got you. Don’t you worry about that, okay?” I convince him and he returns to meet Nora who walks him out of the room. Only God knows what they’ve gone to discuss.
I’m left in the room with Jake who’s experimenting on something unaware to me, Harley who’s seated comfortably in bed, and Amanda who’s expecting me to comfort her in bed. I approach Amanda and sit beside her, “what are your plans?”
“Plans for what? About what?” She inquires, her voice sounding deliberately cold.
“Dominic is in bondage. We should save him from the prison he might have been locked up in.” I retort and she bursts into laughter so that it eve distracts Jack a little bit.
“I can track his location but there are a lot of requirements before I do that.” She relays.
“What are the requirements? I’ll surely fulfil them. Just mention what they are.” I respond, my tone laced with happiness.
“Get this bitch off this bed and ensure she isn’t near the room. Also for your so-called mate, Nora, banish her from the pack. Only then will I be able to sniff the scent of Dominic to track down his exact location.” She says and my eyes roll towards Harley. I was expecting her to stand and leave immediately but she remains in bed, obstinate.
“Don’t chase her. We can use the wolfsbane on her.” Amanda suddenly says as she pretends to be searching for some wolfsbane injection beside her. I struggle to suppress the laughter bubbling up my throat because of how quickly Harley get up and move out of the room.
“I can hear you now.” I say, expecting her to track Dominic down.
“You haven’t fulfilled the second requirement.” She says, her tone laced with surety.
“To banish Nora from the pack? You know how impossible this is. You could have simply told me you wouldn’t be able to track Dominic’s location down rather than all this punishment you call requirements.” I respond.
“Dominic can be found. Goodnews.” She suddenly says, “but you need an active Beta to control your pack while we’re gone.”
“Dominic’s got one. My pack is just a few meters from here. But I won’t need to get to my pack. If I do, I won’t leave anymore. I wonder what would have happened to my wolves.”
She throws a suggesting look at me, saying, “do you not also have an active Beta for your pack? I’m certain you’ll soon need a top slut for your pack, just like Dominic.”
“Let’s save my twin brother first.” I simply reply.
“Oh. You suddenly care about your twin brother? What a kind soul.” She responds and bursts into laughter.
“He did request for father. Don’t ask anything about it. You can’t understand. But I’m sure he’s with father at the moment. I can’t track father’s location. That’s the main problem now.” I relay.
“I can track father’s location but ban Nora from this pack first. I have my reasons for saying so.” She adds.
“She’s your sister. Nora is your fucking sister! Why would you want to ban her? What could she have done?” I say but she only keeps smiling, “if you want me to divert most of my attention to you, I have no problem with that. Afterall, you’ve got that nice body.”
“I don’t want most of your attention,” she replies and before I can say anymore word, she adds, “I want all of your attention.”
“Noted. We can have several sessions overnight. Come on, girl, let’s save my brother before we banish the stupid Nora from the pack with her silly kids.” I say, though I don’t mean it.
I walk outside and she soon joins me as we make our way out of the pack without informing Nora and the kids yet.
“Why did we have to go through the back of the pack?” She suddenly asks.
I shrug but she stares at me for an answer.
“You should know. Nora and the kids and other people shouldn’t notice us moving out of the pack, should they?” I ask her and she chuckles softly.
“Can you see why Nora has to be banned? I don’t want you to think about her anymore. In fact, whenever you do, I’ll threaten to report you to the pack about having sex with me.”
“Go on.” I simply reply.
“You said?”
“Go ahead. I’m an Alpha. Who goes me?” I ask, my tone laced with confidence. Till we get to the outskirts of the forest, she doesn’t argue with me anymore.
I slowly tilt my head as I can sight a rogue approaching us. It gets pretty close to Amanda but she isn’t aware. I let out an earsplitting scream, “watch out!”
