Timely Return

Book:Pregnant For The Twin Alphas Published:2024-6-4

Suddenly, the figure is revealed. It’s Amanda.
“How dare you stop us after the deception!” I confront her immediately.
“Never mention that I deceived you. Were you part of the fools I sent down there?” She retorts as Dominic watches in anger.
“Is this my preferred wolf? Why’s she acting weirdly?” He speaks with a soft tone as smiles erupt from his chin to cool off her anger.
“I will only permit you to leave on one condition. My sister, Nora, will begin to stay in Dominic’s pack and never return to Alex’s pack.” She declares.
“You’re awesome, baby girl. One small mistake: Orion, not Alex.” Dominic corrects. I stare at them with disgusting look on my face. I hold Nora tightly and begin to leave.
“If I unleash my anger on you, you won’t be able to breathe anymore.” She threatens.
Nora shrugs off the threat, guiding us to keep moving.
“I can handle her. I will watch out for her, you can keep moving.” She informs, and I clutch Jake and Jack to myself, running speedily out of the vicinity. At least, a silver wolf is not a witch, she can’t reappear suddenly in front of me. We hide behind a tree when we notice a swift change.
Amanda lures Nora to herself and Dominic. The feel of what will happen next begins to make my heart throb. The kids do the chills but I’m just an exception.
I enable my wolf’s hearing and the whole vicinity is suddenly illuminated. I hide professionally so that the illumination is not traced to me. I now begin to hear them clearly, as I keep holding Jack and Jake so they don’t slip out of my hands.
“The fools have left. You can’t leave here, okay? If you’re wise enough to attack me, why didn’t you do so while I was at the pack? Very foolish werewolf.” Amanda rains upon Nora.
“I’m still your sister, do you realize that?”
“Yeah, sister. I do realize it. Weren’t you turned, even?” She asks.
Nora growls for a response, “were you born a werewolf? Huh? Answer me, little idiot.”
Amanda grits her teeth for being called a little idiot as she sprints forward to commence a physical attack. Dominic comes in between them to separate the fight coming up due to the heated argument.
I try to slip out of the wolf’s special hearing control so as to be sure Jack and Jake are still with me but it might take time before it is enabled again.
As I blink my eyes open, I turn off my wolf’s audible ability, turning on the visual ability. Nora and Amanda have both shifted and are ready to attack.
“Dad, let’s watch them. Come!” Jake says, endearing me to follow them but I hold them back, “you know nothing about werewolves. Don’t ever go watch them please.”
Since Jack especially remains obstinate, I hold both of their hands as I reach out for a rope. A thick one. Usually, there are ropes around because this ground can be called a punishment ground for werewolves that commit crimes. They’ll be tied and whipped.
I tie their hands to the wall with the thick ropes and they are unable to move. I seize that opportunity to have a look at what’s currently going on. They are both sister. Is Dominic not capable enough of handling both of them?
I hope it is not a trap to hold Nora hostage. I quickly move behind them, waiting for anyone to attempt running away. Dominic chuckles at their intended fight, his hands akimbo but I crawl behind him, hoping to grapple him and give him a hit on his head so he faints to the ground and I escape with Nora but suddenly, my eyes feel heavy as a message hits my mind. It’s through the mind link. I reenter the mind link and weirdly, it is my twin brother speaking.
“They got the kids. Find them. Fast!” He screamss through the mind link.
“I need Nora. I prefer Nora. Find your kids.” I retort, still hiding behind him. Though not so close to him, but he’s not facing me. His back is turned to me.
“Is this what you should say after I rescued you?”
“After you rescued me but can’t rescue Nora from fighting with our cherished wolf?” I inquire. “Don’t send any message to me again or I block you permanently. If you need your kids, go find them.”
“I’ll surely get them but never think you’ll get Nora.” He says. Why’s he so hellbent on Nora? She is my mate and she should be mine forever.
My eyes dart forwards and in an instant, I notice that the kids are no longer where I left them indeed. I need a viable pack doctor that will confirm if those kids are mine so I will know if I should keep chasing them or leave them for the owner.
Someone kicks me to the ground as I try to stand up suddenly. I tilt my head to know who it is.
“Maxwell?” I inquire and we both chuckle, pulling ourselves into a hug as I rise to my feet.
“You could have greeted me in a better way.” I say, as I look deep down into his eyes. “… a creepier way.”
He guffaws at my twist again, and declares his intention.
“I was wondering if you could help me with a few tasks.”
“Huh… sure. No problem. But I need to be on the lookout for that wolf.” I point at Nora. “She’s aggressive at the moment with her sister.”
Whenever I’m with any of my close or longtime friend, I tend to reveal secrets much quickly. Maxwell was my high school best friend and we parted ways when he began smoking and indulging in hooligan activities.
“Sister? That’s cool. They’re training. This doesn’t look like a werewolf fight. A wolf could have died as a result of the hit by another wolf. Do you know?” He inquires.
“Not one of them will die. I prefer both of them actually.”
“Oh. Why?”
“Nora has been my mate for a long while…”
“And you want to reject her now?” He questions, rolling his eyes at me.
“Why did you interrupt? She’s been my mate but eventually claimed she was initially rescued by another Alpha who happened to be my own twin brother, someone that ahs vowed to see the end of me. We might be relating with each other now but I’m certain he still has the intention to kill me.”
“How did you know that?”
I look at him, and then at Dominic who’s moving around the two wolves like he’s training them.
“I want to kill him as well. I guess we have similar plans for ourselves.”
“Same, not similar.” Maxwell says. “So you eventually joined the gang?”
“Gang?”
“Yes. Gang. Aren’t you a gangster for having the intention to kill someone?”
I chuckle a bit to ease the tension and pave way for a successful lie, “I was only joking. How would I dare kill someone, not even my blood?”
“You’re a werewolf. An Alpha of a pack.. I studied you already and I’m not only a werewolf, I’m also a seer. I can see visions. I can predict what happens next.”
“I can test you, sure?” I blink my eyes twice, facing him.
He nods his head affirmatively.
“Will we find Jack and Jake? And who are they to us?”
“Jack and Jake are the kids born by either you or Dominic but that wolf…” He points at Nora. “… is the mother of the kids. You will find them, but it might take some time. And by the time you find them, it’s possible they have gotten their wolves then.”
I choke his neck sharply, staring daggers at him, “tell me. Is this what you really see? They’re not more than fifteen years. Do you mean we have to wait three years more before we can see them again? Are you nuts?”
“You changed well.” He says, stressing the words repeatedly. “Just calm down. This is the reason I don’t see the future for some people. They claim I only see bad future for them. But as a close friend in the past, I decided to pity you.”
I release the grip from his neck but kicks him to the ground when he tries to escape.
“I will need you by my side. You need to be able to tell what happens ext. This will help simplify the complexity of missions ahead.” I inform.
“The power doesn’t always work.” He retorts.
“I will wait till it works. Just follow me. Anywhere I go.” I say, help him up, and we walk into the part of the forest where Dominic and the two wolves are.
