“Get this thing off of my hands!” I scream as Dominic threatens to tighten the chains cuffed around my hands and legs. Just like the chains he used when he forced me to his empty pack.
“Where’s my sister? Where’s Amanda?” I repeat but he only smirks. He approaches me in the dark room now, stooping low to laugh hard at me.
“Release yourself if you can. You hid her identity for years and now, you killed my beta. Do you know you deserve death?”
I spit at his face.
He shut his eyes, cleaning the spit with his palm while considering the best punishment option in his mind.
“Amanda is now the Luna for the pack. Oh sorry, not yet. I will mark her as early as tomorrow. I have informed the pack and there’s nothing you can do. I will mask your scent and restrict your mind link.”
“Loser, how can you mask my scent? Get the hell out of here. But note, I promise you, Amanda will not be marked by you. She’s too precious to be mated to a stupid wolf.” I declare, glaring daggers at him.
“Your words don’t matter in situations like this. Try to remove those cuffs.” He chuckles evilly again, after saying.
“OK. Can we make a deal? These cuffs induce pain to my arms and wrists. Let me go. I had kids for you, what else do you want from me?”
“Call my name.” He whispers.
“Dominic.” I mutter, trying to understand what he means by those three words.
“Call my name, according to me, means that, obey everything I tell you.” He says.
“Am I your sister?”
“Nope. I desire your sister instead and I’m going to drag her inside this room and you watch us dance together and do sorts of things you can’t imagine.”
The door suddenly falls down, as he glares back. I hit him with my jaw but it only crunches my bones without leaving a spot on his head.
“Dominic!” His beta calls, his voice laced with urgency
“I’m coming, little girl.” He whispers cunningly as he leaves to attend to the beta.
“Your favourite wolf…” His beta says but he strangles him immediately, about to wolf out.
“Calm down. Did you hear from him yet?” I inquire as I quickly connect with my sister through the mind link. He thinks he could mask my scent because of his presence or power as an Alpha. He’s not aware I have a stronger connection with Amanda than anyone else.
“She escaped!” The beta finally voices out. Dominic growls as his skin color starts to change and his body grows hairy. He screams on top of his lungs, releasing the grip on the beta and he suddenly wolfs out.
The beta takes to his heels and I fidget where I am, hoping his wolf recognizes me and doesn’t hurt me. Once he notices the beta’s absence, he returns to being human.
“Your wardrobe is really suffering the consequences of your uncontrollable anger.” I comment but he searches a few clothes in this same room and put them on.
I continue, “last time I checked, when Alphas return to being human, their clothes aren’t shred apart.”
“That’s not for all Alphas. It’s for special breeds.”
“And you’re not one?” I inquire, slowly chuckling.
He doesn’t respond, so I annoy him once more.
“Alexander doesn’t waste clothes like you do!”
“Hey, little wolf. I don’t have Alexander as my brother and tell your little silly boy that I’m not his uncle. I am his father and even you…” He holds my chin tightly. “… call me daddy! Okay?”
“That’s not going to happen.”
“What if I make it happen?”
His beta runs inside the room again as panic sets in. He’s run inside twice now, without much time space.
“Hey, disabled wolf, what occured again?” Dominic angrily asks but I oppose his intention to approach him.
“Alpha, one of your important wolves is in danger! Come up quick. He has been led by feral werewolves from the jungle into the eternal pack cells.”
“Who could that be?” I whisper to myself, sinking into the mind link immediately.
“Amanda, what are you doing? Is Alex safe?”
“Hey girl, I have never crossed paths with Alexander.” She retorts. I suddenly recall his so-called real name.
“Orion? Did you harm Orion?”
“Blackwood?”
“Yeah. Is he safe?” I whisper gently.
“Unfortunately, he’s not. I suspected him to be an opposition to my kingdom, so I sent him to jail for life.” She honestly replies.
“Do me a favor.” I begin to say, trying not to express my fear through my words. “Bring him back and you get a favor in return as well.”
“I’m not willing to bring him back. It’ll require a lot of efforts. You might even need to journey with me.”
“That’s not a problem. Sneak into Dominic’s pack and release me from these chains.”
After I say those words, I don’t feel deep with the mind link. I feel like I discussed shallowly just now.
“Sneak into Dominic’s pack and release me from these chains.” Dominic repeats after me as he materializes. Did I speak that loudly?
“I appointed ten guards to secure this room. If you ever escape, the moon goddess should retrieve my wolf from me.” He allleges as I discover the seriousness in his voice.
I stammer till he leaves. What about Jack? The boy was with Amanda earlier. Where could he be?
“What about Jack?” Dominic turns back to me, asking.
“This man! Do you listen to mind links?”
“That’s not important to know. I can read your lips anyway.”
How come I can mind link perfectly or have a proper consideration in my mind without a second party knowing about it?
The ten guards march inside as Dominic returns outside. I begin to feel Alec will be amongst them but I can’t utter those words to confirm if he’s amongst them. They’re all masked and their uniform alone looks very dangerous.
“Did you see Jack yet?” I pretend to have misused my mind link, talking outside thereby but the roll of eyes from one of them get me back on track.
“We killed Jack. The silver wolf took him back to the jungle for treatment. Once we locate the silver wolf, she will be killed as well.” One of them mutters as I begin to shake. Killed Jack? I haven’t heard from Jake for a long while. I heard he was killed to. Could this be true?
I shrug off the thoughts as I beckon for one of them to approach. He stoops to ow and I whisper into his ears, “deceive your mates to get out of here so I can escape. That’s a favor you can do for me. And hey, wait… you’ll get a favor in return. Ask for anything you want and I’ll get it done.”
“Fine. I’ll do just that. In case you’re the type of making promises without sticking to it, you won’t last here on earth
“What do you want in return?”
He playfully smirks, “The silver wolf. Let her be my mate.”
